Large bright property in quiet neighbourhood

Large modern, bright and airy four bedroom property. Has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you should need, like home from home. Large modern bathroom with shower and bath. Unfortunately not as clean as we would have liked, there were dog hairs on and under the sofa and cob webs under sink in toilet, dirty doors, just little things like that but enough to bear comment. Gardens were a little unkempt too. We had a listing issue whereby our booking was through the UK VRBO site and the information provided, regarding linen and cleaning, was cheaper than that quoted on the French site, which we had no visibility to nor knowledge of. This was resolved by us taking our own linen and towels and we cleaned the property ourselves before departure. Marie was going to raise the issue with the French listing site as she also had no knowledge of the differences. Marie was very quick to respond to our messages, even when it was late at night and she did offer to cancel at no cost to us, which was kind of her. But it was all a bit too close to our arrival date to enable us to find somewhere more reasonably priced. (Have just checked the listing on VRBO and it is still showing the lower prices for linen etc. as at 27th Sept). All in all, this did not in any way spoil our holiday and we would recommend the property to others.

Hello Cindy, Thank you for your comments, I will pass on your comments regarding cleanliness to our concierge, this is indeed not normal, this is the first time this has happened and we are sorry. Indeed, as I explained to you, in France it is Abritel and they transfer our advertisements to their foreign groups, as French owners we update our advertisements but do not have the hand to modify the foreign advertisements , despite my requests for updates. Next time, I can only advise you to go through the French sites for your trips to France. You booked the house on September 6 for an arrival on September 9, and it was the cost of the towels that bothered you (€8 per kit instead of 5), I couldn't see what else to do except offer you to cancel for free, unfortunately, in France also inflation causes increases for our concierge (we do not touch anything on these additional costs), hence the clearly visible increase on my French advertisements. And for the lawn, indeed, the grass grows when it rains and given the short reservation time, it was complicated to have a perfect lawn, but we are delighted to have at least been able to accommodate you urgently and that you had a pleasant stay in our house! :)

Famille Daunis
