Newly constructed, custom waterfront home: 4 bed, 2.5 bath, sleeps maximum of 15 based on sleeping arrangements, two car garage, washer and dryer, personal 30 foot beach, private dock with lift, a boat ramp directly across the bay, and free Wifi!

Welcome to The Fox Den, a waterfront property overlooking Ventura Bay and Clear Lake. The Fox Den got its name from the the original 1940's cabin that sat on this property and the baby fox that lived under this front porch when we purchased the property. While staying here, you will enjoy the beautifully wooded, quaint atmosphere of Ventura Heights, while just minutes away from Clear Lake's local shops and down town, lake-life atmosphere. Whether you're here to fish, enjoy water sports, walking the trails, or just spending time relaxing with family, this home is sure meet all of your needs!

Bringing the kids, no problem! We have a pack'n play, convertible booster seat/highchair, extra bibs, and extra wipes (we've all been there!) Forgot something? We hope to have extras of most things you'll need during your stay. There are folding chairs, life jackets, etc. in the lower level storage closet.

There is a 2 Stall Garage with 2 car driveway. There is a public access on one side of the property that is available for additional daytime parking.

MAIN FLOOR: Zero entry from garage to main floor. This floor consists of a powder bathroom, kitchen, great room (with a sleeper sofa), TV, and deck overlooking the lake.

2ND FLOOR LOFT: Enjoy a view from the 2nd floor balcony that overlooks the main level and a full wall of windows looking directly out to the lake. This floor has a full bathroom with a double-sink vanity and shower. One of the bedrooms on this floor includes a full over full bunk bed with a twin trundle bed underneath, sleeping up to 5. The other two bedrooms each include a queen bed overlooking a picturesque wooded area.

LOWER LEVEL: The lower level consists of a living area with a queen pull out sofa, a TV, and a spacious patio overlooking the lake. This floor has 1 bedroom with a queen bed, and one full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and washer and dryer!

This property is strictly non-smoking. No parties! We want you to have a blast, but ask that you respect all of our lovely neighbors. This home is proudly owner-managed. Text, call, or email us with questions!

Nice location on the lake. The well water had a smell to it. The homeowner did communicate well with how to troubleshoot. It says it sleeps 15 but there is no way you could sleep that comfortably.

Weekend Away

We had so much fun at this beautiful home! Parking was a little tricky with many people coming from different directions but we were able to park cars at the boat dock. We loved all of the room the house had to offer as well at the variety of kitchen items they had for us to use. The communication with the property manager was fantastic. It was just what we were looking for!

The house is great and we loved the location.

We really enjoyed our time in the house. It had a great location and a sand bar for the kids to play on. The dock made it nice for getting on and off our boat right next to the house. We would for sure stay at this house again.

Fun group stay for Memorial Day Weekend

Property was as described, clean and accommodated our big group for Memorial Day weekend. Host was responsive and easy to reach. We had young kids with us and the house had amenities stocked which made travel easy. Would stay with this host again!

Amazing!

I chose this beautiful property for my annual “sisters reunion” and what a great choice I made! The house is tucked away and right on the lake— so peaceful! We enjoyed the area so much and Emily couldn’t have been more accommodating! I highly recommend The Fox Den!

Beautiful Lake view Property

We were impressed with waking up to a beautiful view of the lake. It was such a relaxing atmosphere sitting out on the decks. The walk out lower level was such a wonderful feature so you could go right out to the dock. The little ones especially loved playing in the sand. The place is also very well equipped with everything you need and beautifully decorated, making us feel at home. .

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It works great for our family. While staying in Clear Lake we had some issues with our boat. I reached out to the owner for any help with who to contact, she was very helpful. We greatly appreciated her help in finding someone to assist with our boat.

Family Reunion/Retreat/Rememberance

Beautiful home with everything you would need or want for a comfortable, relaxing, fun getaway. Constantly amazed by all the little "extras" we found upon opening a drawer or closet. Emily seems to have thought of everything. Views of the lake and surrounding area are amazing. The deck and patio areas ensure you'll enjoy the outdoors as much as the indoors. It was perfect for us!

Anniversary treat

Had a very quiet three-night midweek visit with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. The home is beautiful with lovely lake views, just as shown. The property manager responded within ten minutes both times I had a question. We would definitely like to come back! Loved everything about it!

Beautiful home with a view!

A beautiful home with everything you could possibly need! The windows looking out to the lake gave us the most spectacular view for a late night storm with big cracks of thunder and lightening. The kitchen is fully stocked, every room sparkling clean, and the surrounding area was fun to stroll. Property owner was quick to respond to my questions. The beds are comfortable and though the house is big, gathering spaces are so cozy. Five stars all around!

Moms 70th Birthday

We had such a fantastic time staying at the Fox Den to celebrate my mothers 70th birthday. As a family we spent our summers at Clear lake staying at my grandparents home on the water. It meant so much for us all to get back out on the lake. Emily was prompt with answering any questions I had and the cabin views were absoloutley amazing. So close to so many great resturants and shops. We made memories to last a lifetime and are already trying to sync schedules to select a return date. We will be back!!

A beautiful lakefront home.

This home had everything we were dreaming of. 20 foot wall of glass facing the lake. Beautiful decks and patio furniture for meals and relaxing. Large gas grill and a gas fire pit. The inside is beautifully decorated and furnished. Not only is there a large living room but also a large family room. A few doors down is a nature preserve with miles of lakefront trails. We couldn’t ask for more.

Hidden Gem

Our extended family has been going to Clear Lake for an annual vacation for over 5 years. We have stayed in various rentals along the lake each year. We have NOT fallen in love with a rental until this year! The Fox Den is a hidden gem! We ended up booking our next year's trip after the first day! The hosts go above and beyond to be accommodating. We utilized our boat with ease and convenience due to their provided boat lift! We didn't have the best weather, but that didn't stop the whole family from having a great time! The large open concept didn't make it feel cramped when we were all inside! The decor and cleanliness made it feel like a home away from home!! We can't wait to be back next year and for longer this time ☺️

Emily and Matt were amazing hosts! A big storm came through the first night we stayed and lost electricity and water for almost 24 hours. They brought over a generator and lots of water! We loved being right on the water and the view is amazing. Lots of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. We usually ended up each night around the campfire outside. Will definitely stay here again!
