Perfect cottage for our 2 night stay near Sequoia/Kings Canyon. Loved the water pressure in the shower, the Keurig and the comfy beds. A/C and heat very responsive. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Very clean and stocked, definitely recommend this property! Exceeded my expectations and host was very considerate and helpful. We got to the rental late and she had left the lights on for us.
We enjoyed our stay. Could have used more than 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for three nights though. House is cute , very basic, No laundry , but perfect for our purposes
The cabin has been recently remodeled and was an excellent place for our family trip to see the Sequoias and Kings Canyon. The kitchen was well stocked, the shared living space was comfortable, clean, and cozy and the bedrooms and beds were quite comfortable. It was a short drive of 10 minutes to the gate of Sequoia and a little over an hour to Kings Canyon. A wonderful place to stay, I will stay there again when I visit next.
This cottage was perfectly located, very comfortable ( glad the AC was on and very functional as it was +100 degrees), very well equipped. Would stay here again and i highly recommend this place. Beds are comfy, shower was strong and water hot, AC worked well amd we could adjust temperature ourselves. Lots of keurig coffee varieties, and the ‘to go’ cups are a nice touch for the early morning drive ro enjoy the parc nice and ealy. Many thanks.
We enjoyed our stay. While we would have loved to be on the river, this location was quiet, convenient to the highway, well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed the front porch. We had an issue with the internet and the property manager came right over to make sure we had access. Overall we were very happy and would stay at the property again.
The property was perfect for our family. Had plenty of space for 4 and was cozy enough to give it that home feeling. Kitchen had everything you would at home. Nice and quiet, you can actually hear nature. Even had a bbq grill, just wished we brought some steaks. Definitely would recommend. We’ll be back!
Clean and updated...great little place to stay in Three Rivers
The cottage looks as the pictures. It was very clean (and we have high standards) and the furniture and décor all seemed new and in great condition. The bathroom was also clean, my only suggestion would be to change the shower head since the water pressure is great, this particular one had only one sharp setting. Parking is right in front of your door so super convenient. The town has a great little supermarket and the coffee shop sells sandwiches to take with you to the park. The cottage had everything we needed. Loved sitting outside on the porch at night to enjoy the stars, it was so quiet and peaceful at night. Conveniently located close to park entrance...overall really enjoyed this place and would definitely return!
This was a very cute house. The manager, Kori, is very attentive. Keep in mind that although this location is 15 min from the main gate of Sequoia, it takes 1hour 20 min to get to The Giant Tree Museum and General Sherman.
Things that could be improved:
1) This place needs a dishwasher. I wish I paid attention to the description. I would have booked another location if I noticed that there's no dishwasher. I'm on vacation. I don't want to do dishes.
2) Black out curtains. The sun is very bright, and the blinds do not block out enough of the sun.
3) Hangers and/or closet. No where to hang our jackets.
My husband, sister-in-law, and I stayed at Debra's cottage. The location was great—just a short drive to the cute town of Three Rivers, which has lots of coffee shops, a surprisingly well-stocked grocery store, and a few restaurants. It's also a short drive to the entrance of Sequoia National Park and to a lake recreation area.
We appreciated the air conditioning as the temps were in the mid-90s. The beds were comfortable. There is no washer/dryer in the cottage, so if you plan to stay longer than 2-3 days, plan. It did not bother us.
The hosts have a very helpful binder in the living room with much information about the local area.
We ended up cutting our stay short to just one night, as we found Sequoia National Park to be insanely crowded (more crowded than Yosemite) because you are forced to drive 16 miles on a narrow, winding road before you can split off to go to less crowded areas. We were told that the next day (a Sunday) would be even crazier because they waived entrance fees, and both the ranger and our host recommended we get to the park no later than 6 am, which we did not want to do. This was not a negative factor for the cottage, but we will not come here during summer - visit in the shoulder seasons if you can!
The house felt more like home. Well furnished and the kitchen was fully equipped. The owner took great care in making sure that we had all that we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this home.
