About this property

Beachwood 3A is a ground floor 1-bedroom condo. Building 3 is at the front of the complex so you're even closer to the beach access for ultimate convenience.

The living area is cozy with an electric fireplace and features a stackable washer/dryer. Head out on the patio for beautiful views of Beachwood's lush green landscape. There's nothing like the feeling of fresh air and sunshine on your skin when you're relaxing vacation.

The bedroom includes a king bed and TV. Plus there is queen sleeper sofa and built-in bunks (perfect for the kids!).

With the beach only steps away, you can enjoy unlimited fun in the sun! The convenient 30A location allows you to explore the charming beach communities of Seagrove Beach, Seaside, Grayton Beach, Alys Beach, and Rosemary Beach. Take a stroll, browse the local shops, and stop by one of the many wonderful restaurants to satisfy your palate.

Beach Access:
From the front of the complex you’re just 200 yards to the Beachwood Villas beach access across the street from Tom Thumb (the corner of 30A and Somerset Bridge Rd.). Just a 2-minute walk and you’ll have your toes in the sand.

Beachwood Villas:
Come enjoy this family-friendly affordable complex on the north side of 30A ... it's within easy walking distance to our famous emerald waters. The perfect location for a 30A rental. There is no shortage of amenities with 2 pools (1 is heated seasonally; call for dates), shuffleboard, tennis, and community charcoal grills. After a day of relaxing on the beach, stroll along the many paths leading to the peaceful courtyards and lush landscaping. Take advantage of the local shops and restaurants many of which are within walking or biking distance. The 20-mile Timpoochee bike trail runs right outside the complex.

A Benchmark welcome bag and initial starter kit of amenities are provided for all guests. For the kitchen this includes: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish sponge, 1 dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, and 1 liner for each trashcan. For each bathroom it includes: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 set of soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom, plus 2 washing machine pods.

SUGAR ANTS in bathroom

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented Beachwood Villas Unit 3A from Benchmark in 2022, ‘23, & ‘24. During the recent 2 years of staying at 3A we had SUGAR ANTS on the bathroom vanity, the wall, and the floor which was very disturbing. In 2023 at 3A during a 90 days stay we used liquid ant killer and by the end of our stay, they were mostly gone. In 2024 we returned to 3A for another 91 days, and the sugar ants were there again. Benchmark Management supplied us with liquid poison a few times and Bryan Pest control came out several times to treat the ants inside and outside 3A. At the end of March 2024 when we left, the sugar ants were still there. During our 3 months’ stay the vanity cabinet counter top and inside the cabinet could not be used. It was disgusting to see ants crawling around which was very inconvenient to not use the entire bathroom for 2 winters of rental. Benchmark needs to notify the owner of Unit 3A that there is a sugar ant permanent problem in the bathroom in 3A.

Reviewer Comments: Pros: location across the street from public beach accessCons: Very outdated unit, cabinets don't close, old bathtub etc. l'm need of updating but livable!Tiny ants in every room, including spaces like inside the washing machine, on the bed, on the couch, in the bathtub, side table, kitchen walls and counters. We couldn't sit on the couch for the duration of our stay.The management company was quick to respond to this issue and had it treated immediately, which was nice. But, the problem persisted until our vacation was over. It was the most uncomfortable stay we've had due to this problem.The complex is older and also in need of clean up and updating, but area is quiet despite being near 30a.We left the unit cleaner than we received it.Really the unit just needs a deep clean(under beds & nightstands etc.), monthly pest control and a simple facelift. If it wasn't for the ants, it would have been tolerable to stay there.
