Great apartment but no air conditioning

The apartment is neat and clean. Great location near the Grand Place. The biggest issue that affected our family stay was that the temperature in the apartment was so high. The temperature was 28-29C in the apartment despite it being 16C outside at night. There were room temperature controls on the walls but these must have been for decorative purposes as lowering the temperature on these made no difference. Fans were provided in some of the rooms but these were just circulating the hot air in the rooms. I chatted to 'Eve' on the app to discuss how the high apartment temperature was affecting our sleep but she told me that nothing could be done. Her advice to open the windows at night was ridiculous as the noise on the street would then affect our sleep. We all woke up tired and dehydrated in the morning. The heat was unbearable. This really ruined our holiday in Brussels. I would not have booked this apartment if I was told that air conditioning was not available.
