We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was a relaxing break between the chaotic holidays. The cabin had all the amenities we needed. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was hot, view was lovely. The cabin's close proximity to skiing, snow boarding, hiking locations gave everyone options for enjoying the outdoors.
This place was perfect for my bachelor party! We had 5 guys there and it was a great set up! The hot tub in the deck was amazing! Campfirenpit was great too! All around was an amazing property to have for the weekend! Would definitely book this place again!
Thank you!
My husband and I stayed here for a short anniversary weekend get away. The cabin was perfect. The view was nice, the hotub was an added bonus! We brought our fishing boat and went fishing. The area is so pretty and nice and quite. The cabin was clean and cozy. We definitely will be back. Maybe next time for snowmobiling.
What a beautiful location right on the lake. We had a bachelor party weekend in northern Michigan and we couldn't of been happier with the property. If you love to golf you are surrounded by beautiful golf courses and then in the evening you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake. The beds where okay and I would recommend no more than 5 adults or it becomes crowded. Hot tub worked perfectly and the kayaks are an amazing plus. If we're in the area again we will definitely be saying at this location.
We had a wonderful time celebrating New Year's Eve at the Wolves Den! It was so clean, tidy and well appointed. Even though there were just two of us the home is plenty large enough for even 8 people! We appreciated all of the extra bath towels and hot tub towels. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer to heat our towels up for the cold wintry nights before heading outside to stare at the stars or watch it snow in the hot tub. It has great wi-fi and satellite TV to watch the BIG MICHIGAN game as well and a super cool old school radio tuner that we had a lot of fun listening to! The grill was a nice addition and we had a beautiful campfire one evening down by the frozen lake! The management team is outstanding and responded very quickly with any questions. We highly recommend and will be returning again one day!
We had a great time at Wolves Den! We enjoyed fishing and kayaking everyday. We also loved sitting around the bonfire. The kids enjoyed swimming, although it was a little mucky. We had water shoes, so not a big deal. The basketball net, community pool, and pickleball courts were a hit. The cottage itself is very nice and had a great view of the lake. Everything we needed was available to have a great vacation!
This was an amazing experience. The views of the lake, close to town / skiing.
The hot tub was perfect for two people, very nice fire pit area with seats and beautiful stone work, nice gas grill, up to date washer and dryer, comfy beds (pillows could be updated), kitchen had everything... attention to detail with the decorations..we loved it!
Tranquil setting with an awesome hot tub, fire pit, lakeside views and cozy interior with many natural wood appointments. The kitchen has everything you could need. Nicole and Kinsey are excellent hosts who always prompt responses.
We have been attempting to get the family together for a long weekend for ages and the Wolfs Den was a perfect option! The hot tub was great, it was relaxing and the views were stunning from every window.
The host was super responsive, will definitely be staying again!
Perfect spot to relax and get away from it all. Wayne is a great host and we love spending time there. Fire pit and hot tub are our favorite things about the house, and you can’t beat the view!
My husband, our two grown sons and I got away for a few days of fishing. My son had stayed at this listing years ago and wanted to return. Cottage was a great size, and clean.
The host was very quick to respond to questions following the tornado that affected nearby Gaylord, but this cottage had no damage.
At the last minute I contacted the host again and was very happy to learn there were two kayaks that are offered free to use during the stay and came in handy for fishing.
Was given the wrong code # for door box , could not reach our property kept going to voicemail. She called back after an hour with the right # for entry

Perfect little cabin for our snowmobile trip! Great location to the trails, hot tub was perfect after being out all day long. Comfy beds & lloved having the nice radio to listen too, plan to visit again! Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven!!
This was the first vacation my gf and I took together. It was amazing. The weather was terrible and we were snowed in. This wasn't a bad thing! The neighbor let us use his vehicle to go into town for supplies for the long weekend. He was a great guy. We enjoyed the daily visits from his dogs. They came in and made themselves at home. had meals with us and just laid around until they were ready to go home. We are coming up again this winter to celebrate (we were married this summer!) This will be our third stay at the Den and we can't wait. The lake is beautiful and it's perfect for us.
We needed alittle get away along with our appointments in that area and we found this. It was clean and quiet. I am sure in the summer it gets busy on the lake but that's what the north is all about. A very comfortable stay. We will definitely be back maybe for a week next time...thank you
Great location right on the water with views of lake in 3 directions. Everything you could want to enjoy the lake; 3 kayaks, bonfire on patio with chairs, picnic table, basketball, hot tub, association pool and swim raft on lake, and boat ramp. Wifi and TV. Limited cell phone. Beautiful grounds. Friendly dogs next door, come over to visit.
