Had a wonderful experience. So thankful for these wonderful hosts and their incredible accommodations. Gorgeous view and plenty of space for the family to relax and unwind. Had a great trip up to avalanche Bay waterpark and just love the little town of Gaylord. 10 out of 10 recommend. Would love to come back.
It was so very clean and nice they have a nice place. Its the best place we have ever stayed. They have it all ! Thanks for everything Thomas and Sherrie.
Wonderful place to stay for the whole family. There is a lot to do if you just want to stay in, or Gaylord is a wonderful place for your shopping needs. We spent a day walking downtown, lunch out and picking up a few thinks at Meijers.
We had a great stay. The Bear's Den is clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the kayaks and swimming off the dock. We took some day trips to the U.P. and Petoskey and then enjoyed the hot tub and pool table when the sun went down. Would definitely stay again.
It was very pretty and peaceful!! We enjoyed our stay!! Dorene was great with staying in communication and answering any questions I had about our stay. She also provided a lot of recommendations!! The binders of information that are at the house are very useful! Thank you for everything!!
Such a wonderful and quiet getaway. Absolutely loved having the patio door open and having to check to make sure it was open, because ir was so peaceful!
Dorene was so communicative and sweet. She made settling into our stay fun and easy. The place has everything you need for a nature-packed, activity-filled stay up north! Can’t recommend this place enough.
We had a great 4 days for Spring Break here. It was just what our family needed to unplug. The views were amazing, the hot tub a perk. And the beds are comfy too! We’ll definitely be trying to come back during the summer months.

I'm glad these guests enjoyed their stay at the Bear's Den. Everyone absolutely loves that home and we are constantly updating and adding little touches to make everyone's stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
Thanks for choosing the Bear's Den and hope to see you again in the future!
Cabin was very nice, clean, and well appointed. Glad snow shovels were available, needed them to clear stairs , decks, etc. upon arrival. Didn't realize there would be 2 sets of stairs to get in cabin, but once we cleared them of snow, all was good. Beautiful spot, try to ignore the neighbors dogs barking.

We do have it posted that there are stairs down to chalet plus chalet is 3 levels (more stairs) Hey, your own stair master! We did clean the snow prior to their arrival but we did get more abundance of snow after all day long and they did not let us know exactly when they would be arriving as they asked for an earlier check in. I know the weather wasn’t to their liking but up until end of March it's still snowmobile season. We would have investigated any barking dog had we have known.
We were at all times able to communicate with the host about even the smallest requests or questions! That is certainly peace of mind! The beds were comfy, there were plenty of extra blankets if needed, the kitchen is not lacking anything! The hot tub was wonderful, clean, and enjoyable! The coffee pot is a higher end drip coffee pot and filters were available as well as coffee and creamer, sugar! A tea kettle was also available for me! The living space is great if you all want to hang out for tv, food, games on the main floor or the lower level! The TVs are wonderful! Big! The internet worked great!!!!It’s pretty quiet if you must get up in the night with no creaky doors. Couches were comfy! Beautiful view! Right on the water! We had a lot of “stuff” to
Description accurate. Nice place and amenities. Two minor issues: coffee maker is very slow & upstairs bedroom is a bit warm (poor ventilation).

Thanks for staying! Coffeemaker just needs some vinegar run through it but we did have 2 coffeemakers at that location. The second one was in the storage room in the basement. Home has central or whole home fan air not sure what the poor ventilation was as we do have fans as well and the window can also be opened for some extra air flow. It's a loft bedroom and I do know that chalets & top floor level loft rooms in homes tend to be warmer up on the top level since heat rises. Perfect for the winter temps since it's more cold in Northern Michigan than warm:-)
I have to say, this was THE BEST stay we’ve had at a VRBO! It was spotless (shout out to the cleaning crew😁), had everything we needed. The views were beautiful, and the setting was so peaceful. Communication was great, and fast.
We enjoyed fishing, and the walks around the lake. We were able to visit Petoskey, Charlevoix (recommend the Mushroom Houses tour), Mackinac Island, Leland, Suttons Bay,and Traverse City.
We can’t recommend this place enough! We are already trying to coordinate the rest of our grown kids schedules so that we can all come back together next year.
We had such a great week as our last hoorah before school starts. There was plenty to do with 2 ten year olds. We visited the pool daily, played games for hours upon hours, laughed and laughed. The view was so peaceful and easy trips to Gaylord and Boyne to run errands and visit. Thank you so much for making this property available to others. We came home with wonderful memories and hope to be back soon!
