Charming stone house near Uzès 4 bedrooms,2 bathrooms,heated pool,garden & Wifi
This pretty rural house with superb country side views can sleep up to 6 adults and 2 children, with 3 double air-conditioned bedrooms (1 downstairs with en-suite), 1 twin room with bunk beds, a large family bathroom and a separate toilet. The large, private, heated pool is surrounded by mature garden and paved terracing for relaxing, with a raised, shaded outside eating area overlooking the pool. The perfect place for outside dining and watching the sunset in the evening.
Changeover day is flexible. We advise Friday or Sunday arrival/departure as travel is easier and often cheaper than on Saturdays. Also, guests are then able to visit the fantastic Uzès Saturday market - something many of our guests say is one of the highlights of their stay in the area.

We had a great experience of holidays in this location!
Quiet, charming, confortable, nice furniture, the village is a little bit lost, there are no shops at all but the residents are very nice.
Schönes, gut renoviertes altes Steinhaus in idyllischer Lage, großer Pool, schöner Garten. Gute Ausstattung, geschmackvolle Möblierung. Beste Voraussetzungen für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Perfekte, unaufdringliche Betreuung - vielen Dank an Madeleine

Wonderful house in a beautiful village
We stayed in this wonderful house in Saint-Jean-de-Ceyrargues for a month this August (2018). It was everything we'd hoped it would be and more - gorgeous stone and pale shutters on the outside, cool, calm and relaxed on the inside. The pool was slightly heated which meant both our children (6 and 6months) enjoyed swimming in it every day - even in the few brief rain showers we had! Our son loved the bunk beds upstairs and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the downstairs bedroom with en-suite that over-looks the pool. The kitchen was very well stocked with every utensil, dish or glass you might need, as well as basic condiments and supplies. In the evening we loved sitting outside watching the sun set from the terrace and playing board games with family and friends while drinking fantastic French wine - truly nothing better. Over the month we visited Uzes on a number of occasions for the great Saturday market and brocante on Sunday morning where you can find all manner of French antiques and treasures. We also went river swimming and drove down to the Camargue (about an hour away) where we saw horses, flamingos and swam in the Med. All-in-all it was as perfect as a summer holiday can be!
The only downsides were things that had nothing to do with the property - a few pesky wasps that were dealt with by the helpful pool man Bruno, irritating mosquitos (but there's no avoiding those in France at this time of year) and a very thin driveway that we were warned about in advance (careful driving a must as you approach the property). We also lost wifi on a number of occasions, but as we were trying to be off-line as much as possible this wasn't much of a problem and I suspect it was something to do with the electrical storms. Neil had left us with all the details to contact his provider if we needed to.
Neil was very kind and communicative throughout and gave us contact details for Madeleine, the wonderful woman who manages the property who helped with whatever we needed.
In short, I cannot recommend this property highly enough - you will not be disappointed! We hope one day to return. Many, many thanks to Neil, Madeleine and Bruno for all your help.

About the host
Hosted by Neil Robinson
Born in the UK, and living in Australia, I grew to love the French lifestyle from an early age when visiting friends in Avignon. Currently living in Sydney, I work in media and publishing and hope one day to retire to the Med.
Why they chose this property
Its just so peaceful. Life is simple here but you're so close to anything you need. Tranquil but not isolated.
What makes this property unique
The obvious benefits are the long warm summer days, proximity to transport (TGV, Airports, Route de soleil for the Cote D'Azur or autoroute to Barcelona via Montpellier), proximity to services (shops, great restaurants in Uzes), diversity of surroundings (cycling in the Cevennes, wine tasting, or the Med).
The more personal benefits, are the views, the fresh air from the Cevennes in the evenings, the quiet rural setting and the feeling of total peace.
