About this property

Character bed and breakfast in the vineyards, 13 km from Saint-Emilion

Building in rubble and cut stone independent of the owner's house, comprising a large bedroom of 25 m2, a bathroom and a kitchen. The property is surrounded by vineyards and sits at the foot of a 14th century castle. A 10x5m swimming pool is adjacent to the guest room and is reserved for guests. The room, equipped with a reversible air conditioner, a television, Wi-fi, is located 10 minutes from Saint-Emilion, 45 minutes from Bordeaux and Bergerac. Recognized qualities: calm and beautiful places. Several great places to have meals.
The bedding includes 2 beds of 90cm placed side by side or separated for a couple. A sofa that can be transformed into a bed allows the sleeping of 2 children up to 16 years old, averaging an additional € 12.5 per child per night. A baby is welcomed free of charge with a cot available. Possibility of numerous visits to wine and historic castles. Numerous rivers and lakes allow water sports and barge rides.
Grocery stores 5 km away. Large areas at 10 and 20 km. Markets every day at different places.
Many walking and cycling routes. 2 bikes are available to guests free of charge.
International airports at 50 km (Bordeaux and Bergerac).

It was an amazing 'chambre d'hôtes', very private, next door to the owner, access to a patio surrounded by vineyards and the view of an impressive castle. The place was very functional with a main bedroom/sitting room, bathroom and kitchenette. The pool was very clean and warm. Jean, the host, was able to recommend where to eat, which markets to go to, and tips on where to park. Breakfast was simple but delicious, fresh from the local bakery. Would highly recommend location and host!

Stayed for 2 nights with our 2 young children. Everything was perfect, accommodation clean and actually much better than the photos. Swimming pool was bliss and the surroundings amazing. Jean and his wife were so welcoming and we were made to feel very much at home. Would highly recommend and will definitely return if we are in the area

Jean was an excellent host. He went out of his way to be friendly, talk in our language, and be accommodating to our needs. A must stay for a beautiful peaceful space in the outskirts of Bordeaux.

A country setting just a short drive from St Emilion and multiple other lovely towns surrounded by grapes and vineyards including a family winery owned by the host's relatives. The peace and quiet are restorative. The host is an amazing man who rebuilt the homestead 40 years ago and takes pride in his hosting and limstone home and reliable modern amenities of Wifi. The ONLY room he rents is an efficient apartment separate from his house with a lovely patio next to the vines. Jean speaks mostly French, but tablet translators and his quick mind make communication easy. He is meticulous in his care of guests, the pool, and quick to provide recommendations on attractions throughout Aquitaine. We quickly grew to enjoy him as much as the surroundings (and the patio view is of the 14th century Monbadon castle). The country road to his home has markers as a feeder path for Chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle ( aka the Camino de Santiago). You visit history just by walking around his home. Jean loaned us bicycles to ride thru the country, gave maps to guide us on short car trips to the home of Michel de Montaigne (history and wine and Roman ruins nearby), St Emilion (ebike wine tours, the famous underground church, making of Cremant), Libourne (great markets and stores and nontourist vibe) and more. Great day visits are easy to other towns and restaurants, and then your evenings and nights are quiet and beautiful. Clearly - we LOVED this stay!

We had a fantastic time at B&B Noailles in Monbadon. The main room as a good size for our family of 4. Air con was very good. BBQ area outside was lovely, over looking the vineyard. Area is incredibly peaceful with some lovely local walks through the vineyards and past some gorgeous old properties. Breakfast was classic French from the local boulangerie everyday. Jean and Karen were incredibly helpful and went out of their way every morning to help with our plans for the day. St Emilion is 15 minutes away in the car, local restaurants are nearer and there is a min market and butchers in Puisseguin. And we can’t do our review without mentioning the pool, which was great. Thoroughly recommend this place for anybody looking for the peace and quiet of the Bordeaux countryside.

A Delightful Haven Amongst the Vineyards

We had a delightful stay in this beautiful setting near Puisseguin and Saint-Emilion. The guest house is a restored home from the year 1450. It is comfortable and well-appointed. The property is surrounded by vineyards. It is close to Saint-Emilion as well as host of other small villages and hundreds of chateaus. The swimming pool is wonderful place to relax, read and cool off after a day of touring the wineries and country-side. Your host, Jean, is a delight to speak with and learn about. He will make you feel very comfortable and welcome. If you are travelling to the Saint-Emilion area, this is the place to stay!

A magical place

We stayed for 5 nights in order to tour the Saint-Emilio region. The Chambre d’hôte is conveniently located to many points of interest and excellent restaurants. In addition to the great location, we enjoyed the authentic buildings and surroundings and the warm and generous hospitality of the owner.

Un havre de paix!

Chambre confortable au milieu des vignes, bien située pour visiter les alentours! Petit plus pour la petite cuisine qui peut dépanner. Jean et sa fille sont des hôtes très sympathiques, un accueil discret et en toute simplicité. Jean a anticipé nos demandes en préparant les infos nécessaires à notre séjour (restaurants et châteaux à visiter). Au top!

Paysage magnifique !

Séjour très agréable dans propriété en pierre au sein des vignobles. Ideal pour rayonner dans les villages alentours. La climatisation et la piscine ont été bienvenues avec les enfants et la chaleur. Les propriétaires ont été très chaleureux et nous ont donné de très bons conseils.
