Overall it was a good stay. The inside was very clean. The beds are not very comfortable, we tried both, one was a little better than the other, but overall our sleep quality was poor. The hot tub was cloudy, so we did not use it and the cover is in very poor condition and needs to be replaced.
Cozy little cabin in the woods ! You can relax in the hot tub after a long day of hiking , or warm up by the outdoor fire pit or the indoor fireplace . All the necessary amenities were in place . Great place to stay !

Thanks for a great review Lynn. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay!
This was a pretty nice cabin for four adults to stay in the area. Very secluded in the middle of the woods up a one-track gravel drive. We were about 35-40 minutes from either Athens or the Hocking Hills trails. Everything in the cabin seemed nice and clean (we didn't make use of the hot tub). Wifi is just a mobile hotspot with low speed, but that gives you a chance to enjoy watching a DVD or reading a book! Hosts left us lots of guides to help explore the area!

Thanks again, Carly! Both Athens and Hocking State Park are between 20-25 min away, however, if you aren't used to driving the hills and curves, it may take longer.
Cozy cabin tucked in the woods! It was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

We had great weekend. Good clean cabin. Take some dvds if you still have some the internet is a little slow. There are some cabins close by but it’s still private.

Thanks again Jason! We're sorry to hear there were issues with the wifi during your stay. We do also have a collection of DVDs at the cabin.
Everything was good. Clean and comfortable. Very peaceful and quiet because it is away from everything. We will be back in a few weeks for another weekend.
This cabin was wonderful for our little family of 3. The personalized note with recommendations was such a nice and helpful touch. Very clean, very relaxing, very cozy. Beds were so comfortable, kitchen was stocked well with simple supplies, the hot tub was perfect after a long day and for a nice quiet cup of coffee in the morning. We didn't want to leave!!!We will absolutely recommend this spot, and stay again in the future. Thank you for having us Nick and Shannon!

Thank you so much Ashley and Family! We love to hear when guests are sad to leave, and look forward to hosting you again!
Overall it was a great stay and perfect for the girls weekend. The house is so clean and cozy. The atmosphere was perfect! Close to Hocking Hills for adventure
This property has a beautiful setting. Looking right out to the woods from the porch. Very private. Enjoyed sitting on porch in hot tub. It was beneficial to book a cabin with a covered porch so even with some rain we could enjoy it. The outdoor table was nice for enjoying outside meals. The beds were comfortable. For the cool nights enjoyed the ambiance of the little gas fireplace. Cell service was a little sketchy at times but we’re not there to talk on the phone. The hot tub cover needs to be replaced. Check in and communication with owners very easy. We would definitely recommend this property and have stayed at 5-6 different cabins.

Thanks so much Gretchen. We great appreciate the review!
Overall, the place was nice, clean, and secluded. The rest of this review is more awareness for others planning on traveling here and not negatives on the hosts or the place itself. The note in the description on recommending all wheel drive is very important. I am not sure how a 2 wheel drive could make it up a steep rocky drive. The location lists that towels are included, as well as can sleep 4-6 people. There were only 2 bath towels for us to use. Also, the fold out couch would not work for us. It seemed as if it was broken or not assembled correctly as the fold out arms were running into the back frame of the couch. Luckily we always bring an air mattress with us just in case. Finally, for our experience, we had a lot of rain. Which meant some more time indoors than we wanted. The wifi was extremely slow, to the point where even sending a text to someone in the cabin itself would not go through for a couple of minutes. The location is good if you are planning on exploring other locations outside of Hocking Hills (like Athens or Nelsonville). It will be a 20-30 minute drive to all of them.

We're extremely disappointed that this guest did not reach out to us at all during their stay. Many of these issues could've been resolved in under 5 minutes! First, we clean this cabin ourselves, and know for a fact, that there were more than 2 towels. There were 2 towels hanging on towel rack, and 8 more towels, and washcloths, under the sink. The entire cabin is metal, so the wifi MUST stay in the windowsill to get service. Also, if you have more than 3 streaming devices, and cell phones connected at one time, it will slow down the service. I'm not sure what the issue was with the sofa bed, but I wish this guest would have let us know that it was working properly. I can only assume that it was not put away correctly and was jammed in somehow. Lastly, the first curve on the driveway is on an incline, so maintaining speed and not stopping there is key. We've had minivans, a Camaro, and our own motorcycle up there in the summer, without issue. Anytime, we have lots of rain, it will wash out some of the gravel, and this is what happened during this guests stay. Please do not wait until your stay is over to address things that can easily be fixed, or found. We live nearby, so never hesitate to reach out to us during your stay!!
