The property was in a beautiful location. Property was very clean and recently renovated. We loved having a small beach and the shallow water for 75- feet was great for our little kids. Fishing was good and we did catch a smaller muskie on the lake. All in all in was a great property and we would stay again!!
Property was recently remodeled and in excellent condition. Everything was comfortable and as advertised. Despite chilly weather, fishing was great - had a Musky grab a Bass being reeled in off the dock!
Hi Kelly,
I read your review and noticed you only gave us a 3 star rating. Considering you stated you had a good stay and we had a nice property, a 3 star rating seems low.
Would you consider revising your rating higher?
Had a great stay at this up north getaway! The house was clean and had comfortable sleeping arrangements. The lake was beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed catching panfish and boating on the lake. Would definitely book this place again!
Scenic winter location. Other than the need to bring drinking water and towels, our stay was enjoyed by the entire family.

Thanks for the review.
Our water is tested yearly and has always tested very good.
I am in the process of installing a filtration system as an additional improvement.
We had a fabulous time ice fishing on a guys weekend with our sons. Peaceful lake with little traffic, helpful neighbors, and amazing scenery! Ice fishing was above average with walleye, northern and perch caught.
The property was just the right size for us, and the lake was gorgeous. It was mostly quiet (not a lot of boats on the lake, though we weren't there for the weekend). I'd book it again if we head back to the Minocqua/Rhinelander area.
Great location, fun kayaks, no towels, fridge and water heater was off when we arrived. Owner responsive. Dishes needed some cleaning. Nice lake, long unpaved road to house, but our car did just fine.

We turn off the hot water heater and refrigerator in between guests to conserve energy.
Our listing requests guests bring their own towels, soap, etc.
Not sure what happened, as I respond promptly to every inquiry.
Sorry about the dishes. I will address this with our cleaning staff.
We work very hard to maintain our lake house clean and in top condition.

Stayed in worse!
Overall a nice Northwoods cabin. Not a good place for snowmobiling, to far from the trail and no place to turn a trailer around. We stayed in the winter obviously, I suspect it would be an awesome place on and awesome lake for a summer stay.
Very nice place and very peaceful and quiet. Well kept up place. Very nice views. The snowmobile trails were further away then we like but not horrible. One lane road to get to cabin, which was icy, but not the fault of the owner, just a bad winter. Good sized rooms, well equipped, comfortable beds and sheets. Kitchen is decent size with a good amount of pots, pans and such.

Pretty view, meh housekeeping.
Great place that met our needs with beds. Wished we had known dock was pulled. Found a hair brush and dirty sock in fresh bedding so, a bit iffy on housekeeping. Lots of dead bugs (ladybugs) on all floors. Pretty view.

We pulled our dock the week before this reservation and were the last ones on our lake to do so. We typically pull our dock by early October as do most other lake home owners in the north woods since there are years the lakes begin to ice over by the end of October.
Not sure how the brush and sock could have got into the bedding as all used bedding is washed and changed after EVERY reservation. Never had any previous issues with bedding and have made extra efforts to assure no future occurrences.
Our lake house is thoroughly cleaned after each reservation. View our past reviews commending the cleanliness of our lake house. The lady bugs on the floor are the result of an over abundance of lady bugs this fall and several unoccupied days prior. Our lake house is thoroughly vacuumed after each reservation.
We have been renting out our lake house since 2006 and have many guests renting our lake house annually. See our other reviews attesting to the quality and cleanliness of our lake house and good experiences renting from us. We also include an information page to renters with detailed rental information and local information.
