About this property
Mountain Home in the Crazy Mountains with Vistas and Solitude
As the name suggests, SkyArbor Guest House is where the trees reach for sky and the mountains meet the plains. This edge region along the west slope of the Crazy Mountains supports abundant wildlife, and many trees and wildflowers adorn the cabin area.
A constant delight is the breathtaking panorama, with the Crazy Mountains rising up to the east, and the Bridger Mountains sweeping to the west. Sunrise and sunset can be spectacular, casting shadows across the foothills and rosy hues upon the mountains. The Big Belt Mountains are to the north, and looking south from the top of the property are the Beartooth, Absaroka, and Gallatin Mountains.
Living quarters include a large dining/kitchen/gathering area; a study/living area; main floor bedroom and main floor bathroom with shower; a separate sunroom/living area; one large bedroom loft with multiple bed capacity; and one smaller bedroom loft with double bed.
Vistas of weather and horizon steadily change. Deer often feed through, antelope and often elk can be seen at a distance (bring binoculars), sometimes moose, bear and coyote wander through, and birds, squirrels, rabbits, and chipmunks are always scurrying by.
Horseshoes can be played behind the cabin. A campfire area is available for evening enjoyment. Have a picnic at the outside table, or enjoy quiet time or a picnic at the gazebo overlook.
Fishing can be had in alpine lakes or in the nearby Shields and Yellowstone Rivers. Big game and bird hunting are available in national forest lands or block management areas. Yellowstone Park is less than two hours. Shopping, restaurants and galleries can be found in Wilsall, Clyde Park, Livingston, Bozeman, and Big Timber.

Great location, easy check in and accommodating hosts. Wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the property but we were running around the Crazies (which was an added benefit of the property being so close to the mountains).

Beautiful Montana Get-Away!
Our family had a wonderful vacation while staying at SkyArbor. The house was very clean and inviting. The mountain views were breathtaking ! The owners were very inviting and helpful and provided tips on great Trout fishing spots. We caught plenty of fish and enjoyed the serenity of the property. We also enjoyed the company of Jack and Mae (the horse and donkey ). We would definitely recommend this property to our family and friends and hope to go back again in the near future.

Well maintained, beautiful vistas. High altitude. Nicely decorated, classy but comfy. Tv a little small and we had issue with wifi but overall was a wonderful, relaxing experience.

Linda and her sister were the perfect guests. They followed all house rules and left the cabin in great shape. As to the issue with the internet, I am working to fix that. I would recommend Linda to any future home owner. She was the best!
This was a perfect rental for us ! The owners have a beautiful cabin and take great care to make sure you are able to enjoy it all ! Fabulous views of the skies and stars and surrounding mountain ranges. Perfect if you want to get away from it all. Loved the gazebo too! We had a mule deer and fawn wandering around the property as well during our stay. One of the best VRBO rentals that we've enjoyed and would recommend without reservation. Well worth the trip !

Rusty and family were delightful guests. They arrived promptly and were very gracious and courteous. They followed all rules and guidelines, and they left the cabin spotless. I recommend them as renters to any one. I would definitely have them back as guests any time.
Beautiful cabin in a stunning location. The cabin is spacious, clean, well stocked, thoughtfully decorated, and has every convenience. Both the two viewing arbors at the perimeters of the property and the cabin itself offer glorious views. A wonderful place for either a solitary retreat or a family gathering. The owner was there when I arrived, to offer a tour of the property and to demonstate how thing worked. Excellent communication before and after my stay.

We started off our visit being greeted by Susan and Paul, they’re the nicest hosts I’ve encountered in all my Vrbo visits!!! The property has vistas on every side, and the most beautiful porch in which we had the pleasure of watching some MT rainstorms while relaxing. The properties in a perfect location to visit Livingston, Paradise Valley, Yellowstone And the crazy mountains. There is not enough words I could Used to describe how magical it was to stay there and I can’t wait to visit again. Thanks again Susan and Paul

Beautiful cabin. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Communication with the property owner was excellent and even checked in with us to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. The bathroom was small and the beds were regular so cuddling with your partner is a must. Location was awesome and the property was gorgeous. Really enjoyed the gazebo overlooking the mountains and the ranches below. Unique cow traffic jam on the way to town! Definitely the best views one could ask for. Recommend for sure.

Susan was so kind to ship us an item we left behind. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for peace, solitude and to experience Gods beauty.

About the host
Hosted by Paul and Susan Seastrand
Why they chose this property
SkyArbor Guest Cabin started out as a retreat and recreational cabin in 1984, and additions to the building and property steadily advanced. Family and friends savor the dramatic views of weather, sky and terrain, as well as the nearby availability of hiking, fishing, hunting, and sightseeing.
In 2003, the Seastrands made room in the calendar to use SkyArbor as a Guest Cabin, and this is advertised through their website--SkyArbor, Vacation Rental by Owner--VRBO, and Visit Montana-.
What makes this property unique
Guests often return, and Paul and Susan keep the door open for those who seek comfortable lodging amid serenity and panoramic beauty.
