About this property

Cabin in the Country-Spectacular Mountain Views

With spectacular views of three mountain ranges in the Shields River Valley, the cabin is a perfect place to get away from it all. Perfect for a writer's retreat, family getaway, or use as a home base to explore Montana. It's about a 20 mile drive to local skiing at Bridger Bowl, and only two miles to the small town of Clyde Park which has a country market, 2 bars, post office, hardware store, and gas station. Close to excellent fishing in the Shields or Yellowstone Rivers, and about an hour drive to Yellowstone National Park. The larger town of Livingston which has many art galleries, entertainment, fine dining, and everything else you might need is 18 miles away. We are also about an hour drive to the closest airport and 2 hours to Billings.

Conveniently located off Hwy 89 on the route between Yellowstone and Glacier Parks, the cabin is in the heart of ranch country on a gravel road, perfect for those morning walks. At night you might hear owls hooting, elk bugling and coyotes yapping, while you look up at the star filled sky!

The cabin is quaintly decorated with country charm throughout. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a full size bed. In the living area there is a full size fouldout futon and a lazyboy chair. We can also accommodate with a Graco Pack and Play for baby. We can provide 2 mountain bikes for riding the local roads if you are interested, just let us know!

There are only 2 neighbors nearby, which is ourselves and one other house.

Glorious beautiful valley and views!
My sis and I loved the tastefully furnished cabin w just the right hints of Western life that had everything and was so comfortable. Most of all, we were so pleased that a momma black bear and her 2 cubs ran across the road right before we turned into the ranch down a dirt road that we then hiked for a couple of hours w our dog. I sooo wish we had booked the cabin longer on our road trip across the country, AS, St. Louis, Aug. 2023
