About this property
Sonoran Desert Oasis - Great for Short or Long-Term Stays
Resort feel, with a authentic desert experience. Step away from the business of life and make some special memories. Sonoran Desert Oasis is a hidden gem in the middle of the Arizona desert. Nestled in the Sonoran mountains, this secluded spot gives guests a real desert adventure. A private Casita surrounded by rugged landscape. Watch the sun rise over the desert, read a good book as you sunbath by the pool, book a sky diving experience nearby, star gaze on the patio at night, take horse back riding lessons from neighbors or plan a day hike. The quiet seclusion, the beauty of the mountains and cactus forest, the starry sky at night and large inviting pool with hot tub make for a dreamy vacation. The Oasis is located an hour south of Phoenix and an hour and a half north of Tucson, and thirty minutes from Maricopa. If you like to get away from the hustle and bustle life can bring, than this quiet spot is for you.
REVIEW:
"This is one in a million house and one in a billion hostess. Book, you will be the saddest when you leave and will be looking forward to coming back. The details: 1. The communication before you book and before you arrive is in real time, thoughtful, kind, knowledgeable - basically, everything you'd want it to be. Nita will recommend places if you are interested in a specific activity, Nita will bring extra gadgets so you don't have to pack them (in my case it was French Press, so Nita provided the French press and the coffee and cream - amazing hospitality!!!). Communication during your stay is the same - amazing, fast, kind, friendly. The best. 2. Arrival - the house is so welcoming when you arrive. The music is softly playing in the background, the oil diffuser is making the inside smell so nice, the hot tub is hot for you to dip in and look at the stars, the pool is there if you want to take the weight of the trip off your shoulders. 3. Amenities - I can't say enough. There are fluffy robes (I stayed in many 5 star hotels in many countries, these robes are VERY FLUFFY, much fluffier than I had ever experienced). The number of towels, also white and very fluffy, is unlimited. The wonderfully smelling soaps, shampoo, conditioner, hair products, creams, etc are all there. You don't have to bring anything. The number of pillows on the beds is mind boggling - and they are all comfortable. You can read in bed and be fully supported on all sides. The pillows are also very comfortable for sleeping. There is a small oven, you can warm croissants or casseroles. There is a one burner electric stove top - you can boil a tea kettle or fry an egg. There are marshmallows and power bars for sitting around the fire - the fire pit is included with 4 chairs around it to toast marshmallows and look at the stars. There is a ton of various tea bags, creams, spices for grilling. The grill is also included with all the tools. I couldn't think of anything that would be needed for a vacation that wasn't there. Blankets, candles, matches, water, ice, and all the tools and utensils are there. And the stars and quiet. It is so quiet, you'll sleep through the night with no interruptions. 4. Personal touches - Nita is the most gracious host I have ever known. When I arrived, there was a hand written card from Nita wishing me a lovely stay. There was a bag with presents under the tree with my name on it (I arrived 13 days before Christmas). There was the tree, all decorated and lit up with the Christmas music playing in the background. It was amazing! I felt relaxing right away. And I felt so welcomed all through my stay. Nita baked cookies and shared with me; she got pizza for her "boys" and asked me if I wanted any (I did and it was delicious!). 5. WiFi and work. Nita and her husband John put in the new wireless connectivity. WiFi was great - you shouldn't have any concerns if you are planning on working from the desert. I had the Zoom calls the whole week I stayed and the connection was great - no interruptions, no dropped calls, everything was working smoothly. I highly recommend staying at Nita's Casita. You will experience the out of this world hospitality and you will relax under the stars. The larger bedroom's window faces east, so you can see the sunrises, which are beautiful. The other bedroom's window faces west, so you can see the sunsets, which are also beautiful. The porches around the Casita offer a lot of shaded lounging spaces and, of course, there is a lot of space for lounging around the pool. Book, stay, relax. You'll be saddest when you leave." ~ Ellen (California)

I love making special memories with family & friends. I love baking something yummy and sharing it. I love laughing so hard it hurts. I love great entrepreneurial ideas. I love fresh flowers. I love music. I love a good hike through the hills. I love sitting by the pool with a tall glass of iced-tea. I love freedom. I love the sunrise and sunset over the desert. I love snuggling with my kids. I love quiet moments of reflection. I love dancing when my kids are watching. I love a great restaurant on date night. I love shopping with cash. Why they chose this property
This property is unlike any other in the region. It is quiet and secluded on a cactus lined dirt road. If you need true rest and relaxation, this is the place to come. Listen to the birds sing with the morning sunrise. Watch for quail and long ear rabbits as you hike through the hills. Grill a BBQ on the patio by the pool. Catch up on that good book or movie. Listen to the song of the coyote as the sun sets. Get lost in the expanse and beauty of the night starry sky.
REVIEW:
"I only wish that I could give Nita and John and their “casita” more than 5 stars! I say “casita”, but it is more like a 2 bedroom poolside house. This was a solo personal and business trip for me, but I am already planning on bringing my wife back to enjoy this retreat. Not only is the casita modern, spotless, and beautifully decorated, they have furnished it with everything one can ask for. Toaster oven, microwave, hot plate, full fridge/freezer, dishwasher, etc. I especially enjoyed the fresh coffee beans (and grinder of course) and wide selection of teas (not to mention the fresh baked cookies!!!). Little touches like refrigerated water bottles and condiments in the fridge. I knew in advance that I would enjoy a fire pit in the brisk December evenings, and was willing to bring my own wood...they stocked plenty of cut wood and kindling, and (of course) even newspaper starter and lighter. The four Adirondack chairs around the pit topped it off. More importantly, Nita’s communication and responses were instant but not intrusive. I always felt like I was in my own private world. But if I needed anything, all I had to do was ask. They have a reverse osmosis purification system for drinking water, coffee, tea, etc. But if you have never swam in well water or showered in it before, you are in for a treat! I will, without hesitation, stay at Nita’s and John’s casita again and again." ~ Dan (California)

"We arrived at sunset and we couldn’t have chosen a better a time, Nita/John’s place was a real oasis glistening in the afternoon sun. Their oasis in the desert is a gem that provides one with everything of both words, pampering on one side and the wilderness on the other. We visited a number of places on the West side of US and this is a gem in every sense of the word. We enjoyed the oasis to the point that we extended the stay, and are returning in the near future..." ~ Amel (Oregon)
"Truly a desert oasis getaway! From lying by the pool to watching the desert sun rise and set, you cannot beat the experience the casita has to offer. Nita was a very thoughtful host. We entered the casita and were greeted with homemade cookies on the table. The living room, bedrooms and bathrooms were impeccably clean, extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The large patio space offered several different sitting places surrounded by the desert’s beautiful scenery. The pool surely kept us cool in the AZ heat and the hot tub was the perfect place to gaze up at the stars. My expectations were exceeded and I am already planning my next trip back to the desert!" ~ Sami (Michigan)

Their amenities were beyond our expectations! They had everything what we need. And on top of that, their pool and hot tub were heaven!! Relaxing at the pool with the nice desert view and star gazing in the hot tub at night were unforgettable experience!! Nita and John are very caring host.
