The property was large enough to accommodate a large family vacation and was located in a nice area with walking distance to a quaint downtown within an hour or two to various activities.
Property was in a great location of house was awesome. We had 4 generations ranging in ages from 2 thru 72..would highly recommend. Great time had by all would definitely stay again.Paul,
Location, Location, Location! If you are planning on staying overnight in Jim Thorpe, this is the place to stay. Not only do you get the location but you get parking for four cars parking is impossible and Jim Thorpe the house was built in 1855 so it’s old but comfy. Would recommend.
Owner was so easy to deal with and offered many ideas for things to do in the area. The property was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Fun place for a family or friends getaway any time of the year. Highly recommend.
The property was lovely. We all had our own space with plenty of room to gather when hanging out. Very convenient to town. We parked our cars on Friday and never
This was a family trip with our children and grandchildren. House was great for everyone. Location was perfect for town. We walked everywhere and did not need to move the car all weekend
Home was just as expected, homey, spacy, enough room for 4 couples. We had a wonderful time in Jim Thorpe and the location was perfect to all stores and restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.
The house was perfect for our stay. It's perfect location on Broadway is walking distance to everything in Jim Thorpe. The house was large enough for my wife and I, 2 teenage kids, inlaws, and parents to hang out together but also to have our own private spaces. Highly recommend especially for larger groups. Dedicated off street parking spots were also key.
Just note... No microwave for heating up leftovers :)
The house is stunning, with actual antiques. Very accurate decor, but with modern amenities where needed, such as in the bathroom and kitchen (no microwave). Plenty of room, with multiple trundle beds.Parking is limited, so carpool if able. There is paid parking in the municipal lot. Lots of steps, so great leg workout. There is a stunning suite with bathroom on the bottom floor, but if someone is mobility disabled, it will be difficult for them to access the main and upper floors. We absolutely loved the house and it has immediate access to downtown Jim Thorpe. There is a perfect top floor room for children.

Thank you for the lovely review Andrew. You are welcome back anytime. We do have parking for 5 cars included with the stay, however if you need more then 5 car parking you would then need to go to the municipal lot.
Each year, ten sorority sisters from LVC gather for the annual get together. We are currently in our 50’s and have been meeting each year for years. This year, we chose Jim Thorpe. The owner was wonderful to work with. She answered questions quickly and thoroughly. The house itself was in a great location. It was within walking distance of restaurants, museums, shops and the train. There are four floors to the house. We had plenty of space to sleep, gather and talk, cook and simply enjoy our time together. The house has much history and many beautiful antiques.
We were there with family members for a wedding close by. The house was perfect for a large gathering we had different numbers staying each of the 3 nights and the house accommodated all of us well. We were in Margaret’s Suite and it was very private from the rest of the house. All our gatherings were in the kitchen and music room where we all fit. Being right in the heart of Jim Thorpe family members could walk down at their leisure anytime. For a large gathering this is the perfect house,it has all the amenities you need in a historical setting. We really enjoyed our stay and getting together with family.
We enjoyed our stay! There were 14 adults which was just about the right amount to sleep comfortably. We used the kitchen to cook breakfast and dinner. The outdoor gazebo was fun to hang out in. The location can’t be beat if you want to explore Jim Thorpe. If you have trouble with stairs, this might not be the place for you since all but one bedroom is up 2 flights.
The property was perfect and location was ideal! We were 12 ladies who are part of a book club and we wanted to get away for an adventure for the weekend after reading books about white water rafting and bicycling. The house easily accommodated all 12 of us and it was lovely to be able to sit on the gazebo or on the front porch and people watch. It was delightful to use the lovely China it made our stay feel special. The trundle beds are really low, but surprisingly very comfortable even for middle aged ladies!
My only complaint would be with VRBO check in process and not the house. We had extended our arrival for an extra 2 hours, and a few days before the VRBO app sent me an email saying here are your access keys (which I knew would be a code) but clicking the link just took me to the generic instructions and not a code so we could not get in. It turns out that the property manager had sent the access code several months earlier when we first booked the property and I didn’t realize it. The VRBO message was confusing indicating that its email was the access code.
A fabulous home to make wonderful memories with family and friends. Perfect location with easy access to town events. The home was equipped with all the necessities. The spacious dining area was great for togetherness. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond. Would certainly recommend and can’t wait to return!
