About this property

Rustic themed new listing, mountain view, patio, high end media/entertainment

"I'm in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection. But with Montana it is love. And it's difficult to analyze love when you're in it." - John Steinbeck

Come fall in love with Montana from the comfort of our new, rustically decorated home! This property provides everything you need to fully enjoy your stay just outside beautiful Glacier National Park. Decorated with unique wood and leather furniture, animal sheds, books, and local art, the interior is a combination of cozy cabin, and luxury mountain lodge.

The kitchen comes with a pantry and brand new appliances including a large, stainless steel refrigerator and oven, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker. The dining room/kitchen is anchored by a reclaimed barnwood high-table that seats eight, with a corner cocktail hutch for entertaining. While we know you're primarily here to soak in the wonder of Glacier Park, we also know how nice it is to kick your feet up and relax after a long day of hiking/sightseeing. With that in mind, our living room is set up with a state of the art entertainment system, including a Dolby Vision capable 65 inch UHD 4K OLED screen smart TV, 4K UHD Blu-Ray player with 4K DVD's, large Dolby Atmos capable sound bar and subwoofer, AND access to Hulu TV and streaming, Netflix, and Disney +. Our reclaimed barnwood entertainment center features sliding barn doors, with "Media Mode" or "Library Mode" depending on whether you open or shut the doors. The living room couches are luxurious top grain leather and cozily seat eight, and can even sleep one adult or two children to stretch the home's capacity to 7/8. An air mattress will also be available as another option. A unique burl live-edge slab coffee table and wonderful views of the eastern front of Glacier make the living room ideal for relaxing with coffee and a book in the morning or a movie in the evening.

There are two guest bedrooms that each comfortably sleep two. The "Wildlife Room" features a queen-size pine log bed, firmer memory foam mattress, and is decorated with pictures and paintings of local wildlife. The "Local Room" includes a queen size cedar slat bed, softer Tempur-Pedic memory foam topper (removable), and is decorated with paintings and prints sourced from local artists. Both rooms have a closet with hangers and two side tables.

The master bedroom, or "Glacier Room" is dominated by a king-sized, Amish made, aspen wood bed - as much art as it is furniture - with a medium firm Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattress with cooling gel liner for warm summer nights. The two matching side tables and dresser are also handmade aspen wood. This room is decorated with pictures of dramatic high alpine Glacier landscapes taken from various vantages around the park by either the owners or other local hiking enthusiasts. The Glacier Room also has it's own private bathroom, complete with his and hers sinks, large bath/shower, and a walk-in closet with hangers and shelving.

Outside the house you have a fully fenced yard with a front porch for mountain viewing or sunbathing, and a larger, partially covered back patio for grilling/relaxing. There is also an insulated mudroom attached to the back porch for storing dirty gear after a long day of exploring.

The property is very conventiently located for accessing all of East Glacier's attractions. Within 3-5 minute walking distance are the train station, Two Medicine Grill, Serrano' s Mexican Restaurant, the Rock and Roll Bakery, Old Goat Traders, Brown House Pottery, and Glacier Park Trading Co. Also in slightly longer walking distance are the Glacier Park Lodge, the Spiral Spoon gift shop, Glacier Gateway horse/trail rides, Brownies mercantile, and the Whistle Stop restaurant.

Owners live on the adjoining lot, which means we are available nearly 24/7 to provide additional supplies/amenities, help with electronics/appliances, and most importantly to answer any questions you may have about the area. Our 13+ years of experience hiking and living both inside and outside of Glacier National Park make us a valuable resource for information regarding any hiking trail, climb, drive, business, scenic destination etc., you would like to experience. Please consider staying with us during your travels to Glacier and we promise to do everything in our power to enhance your vacation experience.

Best host experience ever.
This rental was lovely. Comfortable, extremely clean, surprisingly well-stocked. But even as lovely as it was, it couldn't hold a candle to how great the host was. Extremely welcoming and responsive. The information for just about any question you can think of is neatly spelled out in a binder and some helpful (and a bit funny) signs around the house. He had excellent tips on visiting Glacier in our chat and in the house. The parking could have been very confusing if the host had not done an excellent job explaining it. The amenities were great - loved the DVD selection and the wifi was very reliable (loved having the backup!). The living room and dining room were comfortable and very well set up for family time without feeling crowded. Both the front deck and backyard space were nice for hanging out. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we appreciate the thought given to having enough outlets for charging devices and being able to plug in two cPap machines. The laundry was clean and efficient, kitchen had some nice unexpected amenities (spices, cooking oil, tea) and was well-organized which made for a nice homecooked dinner after a few days on the road. I will definitely check availability of this property if we have another Glacier adventure in the future. Many thanks!!

Great Stay!
The host was wonderful and communicated well, the house was warm and welcoming. Pictures are very accurate, lots of little touches making it feel very homey and a great base for exploring Glacier NP. And the beds are incredibly comfortable! We would 100% stay again if we return to East Glacier!

Great trip
The property was close to the Two Medicine and Mamy Glacier entrances to Glacier. The home is very clean and very well stocked in every room. The electrically outlets were very convenient. The TV was huge and my husband loved that. There was plenty of hot water. Over all I would say that the home was great. My only concern was the price. It seemed quite pricy for a mobile / prefab home. It was impressive inside but the neighborhood and exterior was not as nice. I would stay here again but the price was a bit high.
