41st wedding anniversary accommodations exceeded expectations! Spectacular views, lots of active whale watching complemented by a beautiful well stocked home. Every aspect of the interior and adjacent garden was amazing. Only issue was the bee farm on the adjacent property that made it difficult at times to enjoy the exterior decks due to bee engagement, Nevertheless, we would book a return visit in a heartbeat…

This was a beautiful property with amazing views of the ocean and maximum privacy. The location was great, very close to state parks and the town of Mendocino. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The pictures are accurate! The location is surreal; the house is thoughtfully equipped and well-suited for hosting! We have added it to our short list of desired properties and would welcome a return trip!

Very clean, comfortable, and roomy for two people. A short drive to Mendocino, restaurants, kayaking, etc. Honestly you will never want to leave. Many many repeat visitors so you have to book early.

Beautiful home, relaxing scenery

The house was perfect for a weekend getaway to unplug and experience the beauty of the California coastline. The house was well provisioned -- kitchen tools, linens, etc.

Serene Beauty

This is a gem! A bit expensive, but worth it. Sun, rain, fog and sunsets. We enjoyed everything in this beautiful home. Encourage you to try this place out- stunning!

Wonderful

We’ve stayed in many different places in Mendocino over the years, but this home is far and away the best! Our parting gift today was sitting in the bedroom and watching the dolphins play outside our window. The house and its views are incredible. We will definitely return as it is our new house of choice.

Marvelous Sea-Side Get-Away!!

This was the best vacation home we have ever stayed in! Everything about it was awesome: The views, the sounds, the living room (with fireplace), the bedroom (with fireplace), the hot tub, the spa tub (with great views) the closeness to great dining... everything! The serenity is unparalleled! The check-in and check-out procedures were easy to do. The communications with the property management were easy and timely. We recommend this home to any couple looking for an absolutely romantic stay on the ocean bluffs of the Mendocino Area!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Truly the highlight of our 2 1/2 week trip down the coast of Oregon and part of northern CA! Everything about Ocean Splendor was terrific. It was so clean and bright and beautiful .... and the view was stunning. We did not want to leave and we are definitely wanting to return and stay longer next time! For the most part, we gathered up groceries in Mendocino and at Princess Seafood in Fort Bragg and stayed in .... just didn't want to leave! But we did have a fabulous dinner at Wild Fish and great lunch at Princess Seafood on the wharf.

Hard to beat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is special. The setting, the views, the house itself are all exceptional. It’s about 3.5 miles south of Mendocino, with a long driveway off of Hwy 1. Exiting the driveway left onto Hwy 1 is a little dicey because the views both ways are a bit blind. We turned right and made a upturn using a driveway a little further south. No big deal. When we entered the house we realized it hadn’t been cleaned. We called the office and they sent someone out promptly.

Just for the management, not a complaint, but two of the three tissue boxes provided had the top tissue out in a nice display but there were only two tissues in each box! No complaint (we bring our own tissues!) but it’s not a good look.
