Walk to restaurants, shopping, etc. from this quaint, in-town home. Rinse off after a long day at the beach in the outside shower. Relax on the spacious screened in porch and enjoy the sea air without the mosquitoes. Ask for nearby houses if large family. WiFi Available. Upstairs offers a master suite with a private, completely remodeled bathroom and 2 bedrooms and a full bath. 1/2 bath downstairs.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund  of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

We thoroughly enjoy all the comfort this home provides while allowing us to spread out a little. We love that it is within walking distance to many of our favorite restaurants, ice cream spots, and stores. Our favorite spot is coffee on the screened-in porch. We always check to see if this home is available first.

Awesome Pony Penning week at this Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are so glad we came to stay,our third time in this house, for the 100th Pony Penning. This home is small, with a lovely large screened porch that we have not been able to use much because of the temperatures in the middle of summer...sure it would be wonderful to spread out there in spring/fall!It is a perfect home for a couple or small family.We could tell there had been some improvements (new microwave, pantry closet cleaned out and organized) since we stayed last year. We found everything to be clean with one exception...the refrigerator/freezer had a very strong smell of crab! The frig was spotlessly clean, but that is a smell that cannot be gotten rid of without extra cleaning. No fault of Harbour Rentals...they can't control what renters choose to eat or store in the frig. We had to dump out the ice...smelled like old crab...found white vinegar in the cabinet and soaked ice trays, wiped out frig and freezer, and threw out the baking soda which had really tried to do its job...strong crabby smell! We got it to the point that we could tolerate. We love the main bedroom. Airy, bright, large. The main bath is large with only a shower...would prefer a shower door...did not like the shower curtain, and there was a lingering slightly mildew smell,no visible mdew except shower curtain needs replacing...otherwise, clean.Washer/dryer very nice

Before that we stayed at other properties, each of which had problems. Sunshine House fits our family like a glove! Right number of bedrooms, right number of baths, within a block of Maddox and block from Main Street. And even more important, just a quick cut through to the Island Creamery. This year we’ll add that, for our 10-year old, being half a block from the Iron Pony sealed the deal. Hoping for many more “just right” years at the house!

Reviewer Comments: This was our second year renting this well located home for pony penning week. it is on a nice, quiet street, but very walkable to the trolly stop, ice cream, drug store. Just a short way from historic downtown and carnival grounds. We loved the screened porch and on cooler mornings enjoyed coffee and breakfast out there. We used this home as a base for all of our Pony Penning activities. The yards are beautiful, the home was well-kept and clean.

We are comfortably all arranged in the 3 bedrooms and we definitely need the 2 bathrooms (and the powder room downstairs is a bonus!) Location cannot be beat. Close to everything downtown and on beach road (well, everything that matters, as it is just a block away from the Island Creamery and Sandy Pony Donuts). We hope to stay here for many years to come.

Staying at the Sunshine House was wonderful- it’s on a quiet street but close enough to easily walk downtown to Main Street for shopping and restaurants. And of course it was way to easy to walk to the Creamery every night for ice cream. The house was very clean and well appointed. I loved the kitchen and the convenience of a washer/dryer. We spent many hours on the screen porch playing board games and relaxing.

Enjoyed our visit!

Great location and all the amenities of home! Enjoyed the back enclosed porch for games at night with our family! Plenty of places to walk to in the area! Highly recommend ice cream at Island Creamery and the best croissants at Amarin Coffee.

It was close to things in town, and we ended up needing the pharmacy and dollar general unexpectedly. We found the house and it’s contents pretty, tidy and sufficient for our needs. The screened porch was our favorite spot the whole week we were there. We did feel like we left the house cleaner than we found it, because the hardwood floors were dirty and the baseboards and dresser tops could have used dusting, but I don’t know how long the house had been vacant prior to our visit.
