Your experience at the Sunset Cove is enhanced with a hot tub on the back patio, a nice outdoor fire pit in the backyard and an outdoor sectional seating area offered on the uncovered back deck overlooking the beautiful pines and lake, which makes for the perfect spot to relax and observe the beautiful sunsets and wildlife native to our area. You will enjoy a relaxing time in front of a roaring fire in the living room fireplace.

If you like to fish, a public boat ramp is conveniently located less than a mile away. If you like to read, play games, or watch DVDs/videos, there is a large selection of these in Sunset Cove.

Location & Sleeping Arrangement

Sunset Cove sits on half an acre of moderately wooded land and is located in the beautiful Crystal Cove area on the south side of Lake O’ the Pines. This lake house is not secluded, however it is laid out to allow a lot of privacy. Sunset Cove has a driveway from the street to the rear of the lakehouse. There is also a parking space along the street which will accommodate most boats/trailers.

This location is 25 minutes from historic Jefferson for antiques, museums, boat rides, train rides, romantic horse drawn carriages, and wonderful restaurants. Casinos and entertainment are about an hour away in Shreveport, LA.

The 2,000 sq ft lake house offers 2 King bedrooms with en suite (one on upper level, one on lower level), 1 Double Queen bedroom (on upper level) and 3 total baths with sleeping for up to 8 guests. There is also a 350 sq ft of deck space.

Great location. Comfy beds. Everything we needed. Grab a bag of deer corn for 7 at Walmart and sprinkle it down by the water early evening. Go into Jefferson and have lunch at Kits Cornbread and pie bar. Grab some souvenirs at the general store and outpost.

Perfect Lake Getaway

The property has to have one of the best views of Lake O' the Pines! The house was clean and well laid out and probably the most well stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon!

Family vacation from California

This property is absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Communication with host was very easy and fast response! Easiest check in and out. House had everything we needed and more. Super clean and very comfortable beds. The house overall was beautiful and had the best sunsets we have seen even better than our Monterey bay sunsets. The kids couldn’t stay out of the water and had the best time fishing. Also the neighbors are so welcoming and nice their grandson and my kids became good friends! I would recommend this house to everyone because you will not be disappointed. I hope to be back soon!

Wonderful getaway place

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The owners were so nice and even took the time to check in on us throughout the weekend. We have and continue to rent serval vacation homes through the years. This one was one of our favorites as it was close to home, had direct access to the lake, and plenty of space. This is a great place and have and would recommend to others.

We had a great stay. The house was just as described. The owner said there would be no coffee or other spices and there was a TON of coffee and spices. The house is not near any town, so stock up on what you need on the way in. The view of the lake could not have been better.

Girls Trip

We were 5 women most 50 and up doing a fellowship ladies trip. Communcation with Earl our host was fast and helpful. The home had more then what needed and was amazingly comfortable. Earl even supplied inter-tubes for floating. The internet worked great and there was a tv in every room. The Sunsets were Gorgeous We all hated to leave and you will too. God bless Sunset Cove

Every part of our stay was perfection. Great communication with the host. Easy, quick, efficient check in. The most comfortable needs, with soft sheets, ample amount of linens and supplies. Everything needed needed to cook a good meal. Lots of room for our whole crew to spread out.

We had such a great time at this home! Very spacious and soon as we walked in the door it smelled and looked so clean!!! Excellent hosts very helpful and replied fast to any questions! We’re already planning another family trip to this house! It was perfect! And all the beds were extremely comfy and the pillows! Just say enough good things about this place! Beautiful views!! Family Reunion

The house was great for our stay. My family (my husband, myself, 5 YO and 3 YO) stayed upstairs with plenty of room and my in-laws stayed in the downstairs room. It’s an older home updated but we were comfortable. Everything worked. It was easy to get in and out and the view is beautiful! If we’re ever back in the area, we would stay here again.

If you’re looking for a nice getaway for your family to relax and reconnect then this is a great choice! You can really tell the house is set up with care, we got proactive texts from the owner letting us know about a power issue before we even realized there was an issue. My family and I live in DFW area and wanted to find a house on the water to seek a getaway from city life, to rest and recharge. We found this hidden little gem that was directly on the waters of Lake O the Pines and fell in love with it. We are sure that you will too.

Why they chose this property

Lake O the Pines has the potential to be the next great tourist area. Jefferson has a historic downtown area. This area is trying to grow the tourism economy and we are excited to help in the process.

What makes this property unique

This house is cozy and has direct access to the water. There are indoor and outdoor activities as well. There is a boat ramp about a mile from the property. You can fish from the lake bank. This house has everything you need. The sunset views are amazing and different everyday!
