No Pets Allowed. A vacation at Heaven on Happy Hill in Cambria, CA is truly "heavenly". This Split -Level home is a beautiful Ocean View luxury vacation rental close to Moonstone Beach that features 3 bedrooms plus a loft and 2.5 bathrooms, it offers broad ocean views and a great venue for vacationing families. Upon entering the Grand Entry, three steps up leads you to a loft with a Full Sized bed, and up just a few more stairs is the open concept Kitchen, Living, Dining Room and the Master Bedroom with King Sized bed, complete with fireplace and Master Bath featuring a large soaking tub is located on this level as well. The lower level has two guest bedrooms, both with Queen Sized beds, a laundry room and game space with a Foosball table, Xbox and controllers, and a Wii and controllers.
Enjoy sunset walks, search for sea glass on the beach, and watch for frolicking Sea Otters, and Gray, Blue or Humpback Whales on their seasonal migration routes that take them right through the Central Coast. Round out the day with the kids at a game of foosball, or a relaxing glass of wine by the fireplace. Heaven on Happy Hill truly lives up to it's name - come experience it for yourself.

Great stay ! There were three couples , us & two adult daughters with spouses. We live in Virginia while they live in Southern CA & Salem Oregon. Cambria did not disappoint. The house was great as was the property management company.

The house was not like the photos. The carpets were stained the walls were like a child had written on them. In the kitchen the pan and utensils and even the dishes were not clean. Some had eggs on the plate. We washed anything we used.. best place for us was the livivg area very comfy.

Great house

The house was very clean and spacious. We had 4 adults and 3 kids (7-13) and were very comfortable. The kitchen had lots of plates, silverware, glasses, and cooking appliances. My only criticism/suggestion would be that there are no spices or oils. A bottle of olive oil and a few standard spices would really up the value and ability to cook. The foosball table and the games were a hit with my kids. The location was great. A quick drive to hiking, the beach and downtown Cambria. We also explored Cayucos, which was only a 20 minute drive. Overall, this is a great house for a large family or group of friends!

We had a family of four and mobile grandparents stay here in this split-level home with ocean views. The location was central to everything we planned for our weekend on the coast. The kitchen had all the amenities needed, plus more, to cook meals and with high-end appliances too. The lighting left us baffled the entire stay, so many light switches! The house was only 3 minutes to downtown Cambria and 5 minutes to Moonstone Beach by car, so getting around was really easy.

Nice getaway weekend

It was a nice wewkwnd getaway. The 4th bedroom is not private. There's a big cut-out in the wall that looks over front entry. Also some windows wouldn't open, and some of those that did open, wouldn't close all the way after opening. Gas fireplace switch didn't work at first, but the 3rd person to try it got it to work. Maybe a short in the switch? Nice location and view of the ocean. Lots of stairs, but once upstairs everything was flat. It worked well for our group of friends and we enjoyed our visit to Hearst Castle

Amazing Stay!!!

Happy Hill was the perfect house for two families, both with young kids! The house was very clean and well-stocked with towels, dishes, extra comforters, etc. The view of the ocean was BETTER than in the photos. There were adult and kid games, puzzles, Xbox, and foosball which were all used plenty. It was an added bonus that we both got to park in the garage (as there is no street parking). Beds were really comfortable and showers had amazing water pressure. Just don't plan on having both showers running at the same time, as the hot water would dwindle by the end. There was a gas BBQ, however my brother in law definitely left it 100x cleaner than how we found it. A new grill brush would be very helpful next time. Overall, a fantastic place, and we would definitely stay here again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: this is a large spacious house and would easily accommodates 8 people, the house is in decent condition however, the ice and filtered water dispensers on refrigerator are both in need of repair / maintenance , there are no instructions for operation of the many remotes (5 for living room alone) and the TV systems are very complicated and basically unusable without some instruction. Also, there is no instruction on use of gas fireplaces how to turn on and off. The only "balcony " is tiny and very dirty. this is a nice house but, it is in need of some basic attention to these issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed 5 nights with our family of four in Heaven on Happy Hill. We've been on Happy Hill before and already love the location. The home was clean and HUGE. Actually, so many different rooms it was a little hard to navigate, but not in a negative way. Dishes, plates, utensils were all well stocked but was a bit dissappointed that there was no spice cabinet as we've been used to with other vacation rentals. Also, there were no real instructions about the house such as how to use the TVs. The water pressure was out of this world and the master shower was almost too powerful to have a comfortable shower. Lastly, the myriad of light switches was confusing. None of these things would cause me not stay there, but they just take it from a perfect stay to an acceptable stay.

Reviewer Comments: Traveled with my entire family to Cambria (there was 8 of us), so the size of this house was perfect and the ocean views were very nice. Unfortunately, the house does not look like it is kept up. There were cobwebs, missing blinds in the living room and when the afternoon sun hits, it is blinding to even sit on the couch. The interior badly needs a fresh coat of paint. The deck would have been nice to use since the weather was so nice, but the deck and outside furniture were filthy and looked like they had not been cleaned in a very long time. There were no instructions to anything in the house and there were no toiletries provided for the shower (no shower soap, no shampoo, etc.), which is very unusual for a rental property and we didn't realize this until it was time to take a shower!

The space worked well for our group to spread out and also spend time together in the livingroom and kitchen. We loved that there was space to cook with plenty of dishes and silverware. The appliances were up to date and the rooms were clean and inviting. We liked that there were board games to play and a nice deck to enjoy the great views. Turning into the driveway can be a little tight, so keep in mind when first coming to the home.

Wonderful stay on Happy Hill

We had a wonderful stay with our family. The home was larger than expected and had plenty of space for our party of 8 - 4 kids/teens and 4 adults. There were even sleeping cushions that were perfect for the youngest kids for sleeping. The main living area was spacious, and this was one of the best stocked rental homes I've stayed at in terms of dishware, serving utensils, pots and pans, etc. There were also spectacular views from many windows in the living room. A couple suggestions - some of the blinds didn't go up in the main living area. This was only a problem, because the view was so nice we wanted to enjoy it from every angle. The dining table outdoors and umbrella were not in great condition and were rusty/dirty, so we didn't wind up spending much time out there. The weather was chilly, so that wasn't a problem but wanted to mention in case the hosts consider doing an update.
