Nicely remodeled pint-sized apartment
4 out of 5 stars! Great location, clean & quiet neighborhood, plenty of street parking, we would stay again at this nicely remodeled basement apartment. Our family of four stayed a month at the apartment. It is small, there is no door to the bedroom, but had what we needed. WiFi worked well even with streaming and gaming. Laundry was super convenient. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen had a reasonable amount of counter space for a galley kitchen.
Drawbacks: The apartment really isn't designed for more than two people. We had 2 adults and 2 teens. We expected the loveseat to be a pull-out sofa, but it was just two recliners. There is a twin air mattress available, but the only place to put the mattress is in front of the apartment door (so no access to the door if someone is sleeping). Also, the 4th person still sleeps in a recliner.
Management was responsive and helped us with extra blankets (the heat/cooling controls are in the apartment above). Laundry is shared but other residents always used the machines at reasonable hours (they're directly outside the apartment door). We travel light, but there is not much room for luggage and only 3 drawers for clothing if you like to unpack.
Overall, we've stayed in tight spaces previously and were quite comfortable for the month. Everything worked well for us and we'd stay again as long as one of the kids didn't mind the recliner. The neighborhood is really lovely and the apartment is very clean and we slept well! It may not be a great match for all families, but it worked out fine for us. Thanks for a great stay!
