The cabin was awesome!! It was secluded and quiet, but still close to coffee. We enjoyed relaxing and having direct tv accessible. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were great! We had the perfect place to park, right outside the door. The extra large back yard was the perfect place to watch the skies for the auroras.

Stay at little cabin in the woods close to hot springs!

We felt safe in this property. Calm quiet neighborhood. We had an amazing time with the family playing in the large yard. Everything looks just like the pictures on the listing; Beautifully decorated with the bear theme throughout the cabin. The kitchen was well equipped too. Great location with a short 30 minute to Chena hot springs. Definitely a 10/10.

Aamzing stay!

The property in Pleasant Valley is amazing, clean and cozy. During the stay, we have encountered snow emergency without food, power and water but Monique & Russell and their friend Dustin do respond all the message on time and bring us food, water, helping us to setup the generator for lighting. Even though we can not finish all we planned but we still have a great time and enjoy the cabin very much. Highly recommended!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

We traveled to Alaska from Oklahoma with our 3 kids, one is in a wheelchair. This house was perfect and had everything we needed. Very clean and stocked with little things that were great for the kids such as a few snacks so we didn’t have to make a trip back to town the first night. The owners were very responsive to messages. We will stay here again if we get to come back.

Location for Northern Lights

We highly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Location was not too far from Fairbanks and on the nights it was clear, we could see the aurora very well. I had a camera but even got some shots with my new iPhone. Owners were responsive to questions. Verizon has good signal here but AT&T is poor. Using the WiFi I could do everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again. Only thing is I wish it had 2 queen beds so I could bring more people.

Spectacular Cabin

I could write for hours about what an amazing location and cabin this is. The cabin was very clean, tidy, and well stocked. There were games for the family to play, both inside and outside. The yard was huge with plenty of room to enjoy family time. Have you heard mosquitos are bad in Alaska? Not at this property. We were actually there when the mosquito company came to treat the perimeter….not one mosquito on our 9 day stay. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices and even a crockpot. The location is fantastic and far enough outside of Fairbanks, so you have your own little slice of heaven. The owners were great communicators and responded very quickly to questions. Our family loved the bear scavenger hunt and spent days counting and recounting bears around the house, great idea! The kids loved it! We will definitely be coming back to this gem for Aurora viewing some day. This property gets an A+!

My family (my parents, my wife, and I – four adults) stayed at the Red Bear Den for three nights from September 16 to 18. This was our first time using Vrbo, and the experience was excellent. The Bear Den was clean, tidy, and beautifully decorated — it truly felt like home. The location is perfect, right between downtown Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs. We also found it to be a much better value than the nearby igloos, which were far more expensive. On our very first night, we saw the northern lights for the first time in our lives! They lasted for about three hours, and it was an unforgettable experience. What made it even more special was that we could watch them right from the Bear Den’s backyard — no need to drive half an hour away to escape city lights. It felt private, comfortable, and magical. We also made a trip to Chena Hot Springs to enjoy the hot springs and visit the Aurora Ice Museum, which was only a 30-minute drive from the cabin. Back at the Bear Den, we had great fun playing the scavenger hunt. The host couple was very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely choose the Bear Den again if we return to Fairbanks in the future.

5 nights here, exploring in every direction. This cabin is awesome! Everything we needed and then some! WellMaintained and Very clean! Very good communication with the hosts, let us arrive a little early, didn’t need anything while there, but they have a game you can play to win a prize counting bears… let me tell you it’s not easy, but we got it right! Would recommend this place to anyone looking in that area and we would definitely stay again!

Weather was not with us

The weather turned for the worse a few weeks prior to our stay. We hoped for the best and got snow several days but the Aurora showed us what we needed the last night there. So incredible we caught it. Great accommodations and the Pizza Bus did not disappoint. Pleasant Valley store had a nice mix of things you need as well. Thanks for the great stay Alaska!
