Paris flat in Pigalle

Great flat in a great location. It is within eyesight of the Moulin Rouge and the metro station and plenty of food options right outside your door. The water closet is a tad tight but normal for Europe. Only reason it doesn’t get 5 star is I felt it could’ve been cleaned better. Also occasionally there was a smell in one of the bedrooms next to the water closet. One word of advice, it should be clarified that the laundry in the unit it washer ONLY/no dryer. Other than that it’s lovely and enjoyed it

MOLD HELL

This property is a health hazard. There was mold in two of the three bedrooms. They have painted over the mold and used beach in several places to hide the problem. The drywall needs to be ripped out and the water issue mitigated and then a barrier to keep the water out and then the drywall replaced. There was missing baseboard as the owners are trying to temporarily "fix" the issues. We stayed less than 15 hours; checking in around 8pm and leaving by 10am the next morning when we were able to see the situation in it's entirety. The pick-a-flat management company was less than helpful. I agreed to pay for that first night and the cleaning fee as we did stay one night, but that was a generous offer and we were not refunded all of our money. We ended up having to pay for two nights and the cleaning fee. Re-renting this unit in this condition and with other property numbers is outright fraud and taking advantage of travelers. VRBO has not responded to my pictures of the mold and health hazards and their guarantee has been useless to this point. I have many pictures of the mold and if I knew how to get in touch with the Paris health department or spoke fluent French I would pursue this issue. DO NOT STAY HERE! BUYER BEWARE!
