The house was wonderful and we enjoyed coming back to a nice comfortable home when we wrapped up our day. Would love to stay here again in the future! Highly recommend!
Warm welcoming craftsman home, plenty of space to gather for quality family tim. Kitchen/pantry had everything you need, comfortable beds, room to spread put. It was the perfect location to explore fall in the Porcupine Mountains and great restaurants near by. Will stay again!
I stayed at this house with 3 friends. It is in a great location and worked very well for our stay. We hiked and enjoyed good food at Ironwood restaurants. At the end of the day we relaxed in the house.
Ski and Snowboard Trip to Snow River Big Powderhorn
We enjoyed the cozy and thoughtfully decorated craftsman style home! Very clean and cozy, we shared some good meals and many laughs! The well stocked kitchen and pantry was a welcome bonus as we were running low on some of our staple food items. Plenty of pots and pans and kitchen accessories for the hearty breakfasts and family style meals we enjoy after a day on the slopes. The home is thoughtfully updated while maintaining the character and charm of the period architecture. Nice quiet neighborhood that we will definitely consider for future stays.
So impressed with its cleanliness, quiet and accessibility to downtown, nice sized bedrooms, and nicely furnished bungalow that we are strong considering revisiting this home again when we come back to Ironwood. It made our visit a wonderful one.
Beautiful house on a quiet block close to all the action in Ironwood, and conveniently located for area downhill and cross country skiing (snowmobiling). We only had two people our group but it would be great for larger groups, too. We hope to stay there again.
Nice place to stay close to fishing and plenty of choices to eat, gas, bait, boat launch. The only things I wished was that this house had air conditioning, and a back porch to sit outside. I also wish I knew the grill was charcoal or we would have brought things with us for that. Other than that,it was great place to stay. griwas charcoal
Tom and Pam’s home was very, very comfortable for our group. We had everything we needed to ensure a wonderful stay. The owners are easy to contact and the home’s location made it convenient to take advantage of all the opportunities Ironwood has to offer! We would highly recommend it to others.
Good location for driving to see the waterfalls and Lake Superior
Quiet area short drive to grocery store etc.
No Wifi which would be nice, overall a great stay
My wife and I truly enjoyed the house. We were in the area for business and some biking. It was a great location and spent time relaxing in the evening and getting ready for the day by sitting on the front porch. Excellent Tom and Pam!
My husband is facing some serious health challenges, and we just need to get away for a few days. We’ve never been to the UP and we found this house and checked out some information online about the town and shows this place. We are so happy we did! We had one of the best times of our lives. The house was perfect as far as comfort and location, cleanliness, and anything you could want.
Very cozy, comfy place to stay. Feels just like home! We loved our stay. So much love and detail went into this place down to the dresser knobs. I love all the little touches! Who thought it would be in the 90’s in September but thankfully there is a window ac in the bedroom upstairs. The house stayed pretty cool and didn’t feel stuffy or hot at all. We would highly recommend!
We arrived after dark in Ironwood. The temp was already around 0 degrees F. The check in process was good for Tom Woody’s house and it was already warm and inviting. We highly recommend renting Tom’s house if you are traveling to Ironwood. We are also
The house, like most in town, was likely built on the early 1900's. the owner has updated things like the bathroom. The neighborhood was nice and tree lined and quiet and just blocks from either downtown or businesses along US 2. All three of us were happy with the house and area. Had some great times exploring the surrounding sights and shopping in town. Pines cafe had good breakfasts and the Maplewood restaurant was really good for dinner. A must is checking out Randall bakery in Wakefield for great pasties...even special breakfast pasties. Great area and people. My sister is already planning a return trip.
