Little Nashville Getaway
A quiet, tree-lined street in downtown Nashville leads you to a comfortable apartment, known as Little Nashville Getaway. Upon entering this charmer, you will notice the interesting décor of antiques and artworks.
The full kitchen beckons with plenty of sunshine and counter space for creating a couple's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Choosing which of two cute dining tables for enjoying your meal will be a fun decision as you kick back in Brown County. A nice-sized flat-screen TV (with satellite service) in the living room lets you catch up on the news and weather, or your favorite "can't miss it" episode. There's also a queen sleeper sofa, in case you bring along the kids or a couple of friends. The sitting room is perfect for penning a post card or two, or reading your recent purchase from the best-seller list.
The bedroom features a queen bed, a TV, and adjoining bath. Guests with a penchant for all things nostalgic will appreciate the lovely antique dresser, tables, washstand, and secretary desk found in Little Nashville Getaway. You'll find yourself captivated by the numerous framed paintings and textiles, created by nimble hands of yesteryear. A collection of ladies hats will tempt you to try them on and pretend that you're just ready to step out the door to attend the annual Art Gallery Tea.
An evening in the front porch swing with your sweetheart, watching the passing horse-drawn carriages sounds inviting, doesn't it? How about some leisurely lounging time in the hot tub? It's located on a private deck just off the kitchen and is a sure-fire way to ensure you'll sleep like a baby. Easy to find and conveniently located, Little Nashville Getaway is within walking distance of many restaurants, the Brown County Playhouse, art galleries, and of course, shops galore.

Little Nashville Getaway...THE STORY...
In 1946, Agatha Roberts Reed moved to Brown County with her mystery writer husband, G. T. Fleming Roberts, the creator of the Secret Agent X series of the pulp magazines. Because of the resemblance of their home to that of the Hansel and Gretel house in an illustration in their small son's story book, Agatha and Tommy named their log home on State Road 135 the "Witch House." For years, Agatha entertained passersby with smoking dry ice on the patio and dressing up as a witch, thus becoming known as the "Witch of Beanblossom Ridge."
Agatha moved to the "Little Nashville Getaway," which she decorated with furnishings from the Witch House. These display her eclectic taste for bright colors and contrasting patterns and include some "witchy" touches. Agatha was a flamboyant dresser and was known for wearing a hat on almost any occasion...some of which remain at the "Little Nashville Getaway" for you to try on (with care!)
