I stayed at the cottage while attending the Walnut Valley Flatpicking Champoinship in Winfield. It was the perfect retreat for me. The bed was comfortable, I loved the air conditioning and the quiet. Dexter is a beautiful town in a beautiful part of Kansas. The cottage had everything I needed.
It was cute and it satisfied the need for a room without having to stay at a hotel. The couch was visibly dirty from maybe a dog with dirty feet. I’m sure it was just an oversight by the cleaner after the last guest. There is also a water leak from the shower into the living area. From the looks of the place these issues will be remedied before the next guest. It is a very quiet and tiny town.

Clean but needs maintenence
The place was having problem with electricity. Lights were flickerung and microwave could not pull enough electricity
Two things the property manager needs to know: during a rain storm there was a considerable leak coming in from the west French doors sopping rugs and bed linens draping on the floor. Also, the kitchen sink is not draining properly, backing up 3-4 inches in the basin. Overall, though, it was a pleasant stay and much needed accommodations in this tiny community.
Really appreciated the courteous, prompt and professional contact with our host .Darriene . Thank you and it’s a darling place to stay!!

Cute little cottage. Met all our needs. Nice deck. Cute area to cook out with very nice grill. Very clean with all our needs. Away from the hustle a bustle in a small community. Will stay again.
We liked the cozy atmosphere of the cottage. It was well stocked with everything we needed. It was very much as advertised and the reviews were accurate. We would stay again and rent all the properties for a larger family gathering in the future.
The house was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed walking around looking at the old builds and wondering what they had been. Enjoyed the chickens behind me and the rooster who crowed in the morning. Nice quiet get away and will do it again.
Nice little cottage in small town. Getting away from the city lights we were hoping to see some meteors during the Perseids meteor shower, but the first night was overcast. Then the second night was clear but we didn't see any. A disappointment but we still enjoyed our stay.
