We loved the location, the hosts were very responsive and the size of the home was perfect. Plenty of room for three families. Very clean house with nice views!
My family enjoyed the stay very much in this home. Everything we needed was provided. The location was perfect in distance to the resort activities. The host were kind and responded to my inquiries within minutes. We will be back .
We had a wonderful stay! The space was clean and spacious, and allowed us the chance to relax in the mountains! The Gosmans were wonderful hosts, and provided a lot of helpful information including local transportation which was much appreciated! Would definitely stay again!
We loved our stay and the house was perfect for our group. So much to do in the area and coming back to relax at house was great for our family. Eddie and Amanda were quick to respond to any questions and concerns. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Wintergreen Resort.
We just returned from an awesome weekend at Bearfoot Trail! The house had more than enough room for our large group. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The location is also great for hiking and exploring the area. We definitely hope to return again in the future!
Eight of us stayed here for a girls' weekend. The house is perfect for a big group - loved the hot tub, the big dining table, and the great room. The hosts are very helpful and great about providing recommendations for places to go. The house is well appointed with everything you need.
We stayed here for a weekend getaway with friends in Shenandoah, and overall it was a good experience. The house was very spacious and worked well for a group, and the location was convenient for the area. The place had everything we needed, and communication with the host was great and very responsive, which we appreciated. The property is a bit outdated, and the hot tub could have been cleaner. It was also quite cold when we arrived, which took a little while to warm up and get comfortable. We did have an unfortunate accident during our stay where a friend slipped and fell. Because of that experience, I’d strongly recommend purchasing the travel insurance rather than opting for the 5,000 security deposit, just for peace of mind.Overall, it’s a solid option for a group weekend, especially if you’re looking for space and a good location.
The house was perfect for our group, it was the perfect size, spotless and had all the amenities. Close to hiking and breweries/cidery/wineries. The hosts were awesome! Very responsive whenever I had questions. I highly recommend and will for sure be back!
House location is near trails and short hike to waterfall. During our stay we saw the local wildlife and beautiful sunset in the nearby lookout. Rooms are clean and home offered space for our party of ten to have space from each other when needed. Owners were very responsive to any inquiries. Highly recommend the property.
Although we didn't get any snow. The stay was wonderful. Location was perfect for hiking and exploring. We visited 2 breweries and attempted skiing. The weather was warm so it was muddy and slushy.
The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
Renter beware: there is no washer and dryer for guests to use. I missed that those icon pictures were absent from this listing. Otherwise, It was a good house in a great location. It seemed like it hadn’t been occupied in a while as there were many dead beetles by the sliding door and many dead and a few alive yellow jackets by the sliding door in the upstairs bedroom. I really wished that we would have had laundry in such a large house.
I booked this rental for a bachelorette party weekend. There were 12 of us, and everyone had a bed space, which was great. The number of bathrooms (3.5) was also stellar. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots/pans/utensils, etc. you could need. We loved the shared indoor spaces, as well as the hot tub and out door decks. Really lovely and the AT access is right there, so you can go hiking without needing to hop in a car to drive to a trail! Overall a great experience!
This was a nice little getaway for all of us! Plenty of space in the house, with big living room and dining room for gatherings. The only complaint we had was that the check-in was soo late— 5pm check in. That doesn’t even give the hot tub time to warm up if you want to use it that night. Our vacation felt a lot shorter because the first day of it couldn’t really start until dinner as opposed to early afternoon. Other than that, we loved this listing!
