Luxury Retreat w/ central AC & Heat - Walk to Lake, Village, Ski Shuttle
Trendy, yet warm and welcoming cabin located right in the heart of downtown. Walk one block to everything - all the Big Bear Village restaurants, shops, lake and snowboarding/ski shuttle pickups for Snow Summit and Bear Mountain in winter season. Come and enjoy a relaxing mountain getaway in this newly updated space without the worry of having to hassle with finding parking on the mountain during busy season.
This 2 bed, 2 bath cabin comfortably sleeps 5-6 people with 1 queen, 1 full, and 1 twin bunk bed arrangement. It’s very well kept, maintained and cleaned with natural (non-chemical) products and essential oils. Linens, blankets, toiletries, fresh towels, laundry/dishwasher detergents, dryer sheets, and paper towels are included in each stay. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all the tools and amenities you would need to prepare meals (pots, pans, knife set, silverware, cooking/baking/bbq utensils, baking basics- hand mixer, mixing bowls, baking sheets/dishes-, toaster, Ninja blender, wine/bottle opener, etc.), and the living area has a cozy gas fireplace with ample room to sit around the fire, play games and enjoy the company of loved ones.
Stocked with games, warm drinks (coffee, tea and hot chocolate), a smart TV loaded with all the popular apps, and WiFi, it’s the perfect place to retreat to for a weekend getaway. Bring your personal logins and enjoy apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, YouTube, Fandango, etc. A selection of free tv channels are provided through the Vizio TV streaming app. There’s even flour and sugar available for baking! (Be sure to account for the altitude- it affects baking temperatures and recipe ratios.)
For those who have an interest in working remotely, there’s a desk nook off the living room. There’s also a large upper deck complete with a BBQ and some adirondack chairs. You’ll even catch a peekaboo view of the lake!
You’ll find a laundry room downstairs, as well as a walkout patio off the master bedroom to enjoy the peaceful outdoors in the comfort of a backyard. Personal care items such as soap, shampoo, conditioner and a hair dryer are all provided.
The decor is trendy but also meaningful- we picked pieces we really like that speak to the atmosphere we’re trying to create. Our hope is that each person who experiences the cabin truly feels like it’s a “retreat” from the busyness of everyday life, and is able to rest, relax and rejuvenate as they breathe in the mountain air and take in the beautiful surroundings.

Everything was great from bedding to toiletries comfortable mattress very clean nice cabin. Close to village and ski resorts quick response from owner definitely recommend and would return
Lovely cabin! Booked a last minute getaway with my husband & little boys for the 4th of July. We had a great time! Home was well maintained and depicted accurately in the listing. Loved the convenience of our evening strolls into the village for dinner or ice cream. Would recommend this cabin for couples or a small family.
So cute, comfortable, very clean, great location! This was perfect for our family of 4 for a weekend getaway. Walking distance to the Village for restaurants and shops, as well as to the lake/marina. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like bedside shelves and outlets, lots of towel and coat hooks, stocked coffee station and toiletries. It was a warm weekend so AC was clutch, and our girls didnt want to leave the front porch swing. We'll be back!!
Good experience. Nice and clean. Really enjoyed the balcony. Glad we had air conditioning there as it was pretty warm for a few days even at high elevation. Was walking distance to village and within an easy drive for many activities. Was a great getaway from our home in Las Vegas to beat the heat.
My family really enjoyed our stay in Big Bear! The property is small but nicely upgraded. Plus, the location is ideal. Super close to the shops in town & a short drive to Snow Summit. Kevin was quick to respond to any inquiries during our stay. We look forward to visiting again.
Adorable cabin in nice location. Very clean with all the amenities one might need and more for our family of four. Kids loved the bunk beds, porch swing and nice bathtub for bathing. Kitchen was great for cooking with up to date appliances and cookware. WiFi and smart Tv worked great. We were fortunate enough to have fresh snow and were able to just walk in the neighborhood for sledding fun. Central Heating and fireplace kept us plenty warm the entire stay. We would definitely stay here again!
Place was great, clean and cozy. Everything we needed was there. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Quick responses from the host. Loved it!!
This was our first trip to Big Bear for my husband and I w/ our 5.5 year old. The cabin was exactly as pictured. The location to the village, lake, and other shops in the area was perfect. The host, Kevin, was very flexible and helpful throughout the entire trip. The cabin was very clean! My personal favorite part was the decor. What can I say, we couldn't have been happier! I highly recommend this cabin for a small family. We will definitely be coming back. Hopefully this time during snow season :)
This was a great place for a short summer stay. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of sleeping. The place is filled with everything you need for a comfortable visit (dishes, amenities, etc). We didn’t walk much into town, but we certainly could have.
Everything about the home was as advertised. From the house itself to the location and proximity to the Village that we were looking for, it was just what we were looking for. The check-in process was easy and the communication was excellent. The home was very comfortable and fully stocked and just right for our family. Fantastic!
First timers to Big Bear! The property is well maintained, beautiful decor, very cozy and clean. Easy walk to Big Bear Village and lake made it the perfect location.
This place is perfect for a Big Bear getaway. Charming home in a great location, close to the Village. Upstairs living area with balcony is perfect to unwind after a day exploring the outdoors. I will stay here again!
My wife and I have been married for 7 years now and have our first little one on the way! We are southern California natives, and we both grew up visiting the local mountains every year with family. We love to travel and experience new places, activities, cuisine and cultures. We especially love the outdoors and all the beauty that the mountains bring. Big Bear Lake is one of our favorite getaway spots, and we have turned our personal cabin here in Big Bear Lake into a space that is cozy and sleek with a mix of rustic industrial decor touches to create that home away from home feel we all love. We are excited to share our space to help other families create meaningful memories in the outdoors, rest, relax, and enjoy quality time together.
Why they chose this property
My wife and I have traveled to the Big Bear Lake area quite often since getting married in 2013, and often dreamed about having a property we could vacation at and also rent out so others could enjoy. Both of us grew up visiting the lake- my family to fish and camp, and Jenn often joined friends for lake sports like waterskiing. We love these mountains and all the activities they provide year round. We found ourselves visiting in every season to enjoy hiking, snowboarding, outings on the the lake, or to simply walk the town and enjoy the restaurants and peaceful scenery. Over the years, we got increasingly serious about the idea of purchasing a property and started looking. This specific property immediately caught our eye when we saw it. We loved everything about it: the location, the layout, the amenities. It was everything we had hoped for and we look forward to every chance we have to visit!
What makes this property unique
This home is special to us for so many reasons. We love the tall trees on and around the property, and the blue jays and other local birds that nest nearby. The peekaboo view of the lake from the balcony upstairs is especially fun for us, and we love enjoying a meal outside while watching the sunset. The swing on the porch is another highlight—great place to enjoy the fresh air and relax. The natural light, especially upstairs, is something we appreciate so much. Big windows and glass doors makes for tons of light and a great view. For us, the location is ideal: walking distance to The Village, the Lake, hiking trails, and ski shuttles in the winter. Being within walking distance to some great hiking and amazing restaurants is one of our favorite things… it’s so convenient to step out the front door and 5 minutes later be enjoying beautiful views or a great meal!
