The location on Catawba could not be better. Magnificent lake views (and sunrises) from the large screened-in porch were a real treat. The entire cottage was very clean, and the kitchen and bath were well-equipped. The tiny bedroom (bed access from one side only) was a little awkward, but one of us slept on the very comfortable couch, and it worked out fine. Centrally located among all of the birding hotspots in northwest Ohio. Great restaurants and parks nearby. We loved our stay and will be back!
We enjoyed staying at the twin cottages. It was clean, comfortable and in a private setting which made relaxing even better! We loved the sunrises and the eagle flying over the lake. It was beautiful!
We liked watching the sunrise at the rocky but semi private beach. The layout of the house is unusual but it was an extremely great value for a short stay visiting the islands. The staff has done a great job taking care of the property.
Nice clean modernized cabin on the rocky shore of Lake Erie. Panoramic view of the lake and sunrise from indoors or out. No swimming or wading (rocky sea wall), but public beaches are nearby.
Great communication about location, check-in and check-out. Cute little lakefront cottage, very clean inside (could use a little cleaning on the outside). Small bedroom, bed wasnt that comfortable for us but orhers
Third year visiting with my elderly mom. We love it here. We saw several bloodmoon rises, a rainbow, 5 bald eagles, a partial lunar eclllipse and a blimp. We ordered groceries for our nine day stay from a nearby department/grocery store and settled in for listening to the lake and some mean games of Yahtzee. The cottage is clean and comfie and the kitchen is well equipped. We’ll be back n year.
Perfect place to just relax enjoy the lake, loved the location, out of the way of all the busy the lake can be but so close to anything you want to explore from put in bay to Kelly island to Port Clinton. Short drive to the major stores ( Kroger Walmart and up scale grocery. Within 5 minutes to millers ferry.
This is the second time we’ve stayed here and it’s perfect for a weekend getaway. A gorgeous view of Kelley’s island, close to Twin Oast and the Orchard as well as the ferries to put in bay and Kelley’s. We love it!
Right on Lake Erie at the end of a dead end road. Very quiet and peaceful. The property looked a bit rustic when I pulled up. However, the inside has been upgraded and remodeled. Great for a couple or family with up to two small children. One bedroom with a queen bed and a couch that folds out into a bed. All appliances in working order. The kitchen is stocked with plates, glasses and a variety of cooking pots, pans and utensils.
The views from the property are always beautiful. The community is quiet which makes for a peaceful and stress free stay. The host was incredibly accomodating and easy to work with. While the property is very basic with little ammendmenties, it makes up for with the area, and things to do. We were able to bring all of our own stuff and enjoyed shopping and getting local favorites.
My husband and I stayed there for 5 days.
We expected a no frills cabin and that is what this is. Beautiful view, bed and couch were comfy.
The check in process is clunky. I would recommend improving that part. But all else was great. Thanks for the memories!
Check in was smooth, Mike was communicative and left clear instructions on accessing the property. The cottage was right on the lake, with a fantastic view. It is very much a lake cottage so of course that comes with bugs but the property had been cleaned and looked great. We enjoyed just relaxing and listening to the water.
