Weekend visiting our son
The unit is nicely furnished and appointed. Georgetown has some very good places to eat and new businesses. The induction range was different. A few of the pans didn't work well with it, but fortunately a few did. There are lots of spices to create great meals. The location of the unit worked well for our son, who lives in Othello, to come and visit.

About the host

Host profile image
I am a born and bred Jersey girl who packed up and sold her newly purchased home to move to Seattle in January 2015 for a job opportunity. Even though the job didn't work out it was a move that I have never regretted. Seattle absolutely captured my heart and that job lead me to opportunities here that I never thought possible. I love to travel with my boyfriend Ciaran, we hate being home bodies. More than likely you will find us; camping, hiking, & skiing through the PNW, exploring international destinations, sipping our way through the many wine regions of Washington State, or road tripping through our National Parks #vanlife. We have a 9 year old 15 pound long-haired dapple Dachshund named Charlie Brown. Charlie's favorite things are; cheese, carrots, belly rubs, barking unnecessarily, and lounging in the sun. I am currently renting out the property to give me a little more financial freedom for our adventures and also to give anyone traveling to Seattle an affordable and comfortable way to explore the city.

Why they chose this property

I purchased this house as an investment property after testing short term renting at my previous apartment. When I went looking for a home I wanted a house that reflected Seattle's industrial roots mixed with the youthfulness of the modern architecture that surrounds you here. I also wanted a house that was walkable to some of the best restaurants, bars, and attractions that Seattle has to offer, while still being in a neighborhood that has more of a suburb feel. I absolutely found all of that in this home. I hope you love it as much as I do.

What makes this property unique

I love that this house is walkable to some of the best restaurants, bars, and attractions that Seattle has to offer. I also love that the house has 2 outdoor spaces. When I stay there I love having coffee on the balcony off of the master. Unlike most properties in Seattle the townhouse offers a free dedicated parking space in the alley.

Booking a rental home is like staying at the house of a friend. In this property you will experience significantly more space, privacy, and comforts that feel like home, including a kitchen and a location that is beyond what most hotels can offer. All this at a significantly lower cost than a hotel with comparable features. These benefits bring different considerations than a hotel. Most guests do not want daily housekeeping. Our housekeeping staff will clean after you checkout, the cleaning fee you pay covers this expense. For an additional fee, mid-stay cleanings are available upon guest request and must be arranged at the time of your booking. We also offer a starter supply of some consumables, including coffee, paper towels, toilet paper, and more, but these items are not restocked during a stay. A kitchen allows you to make home-cooked meals. Guests will likely visit the store to purchase groceries. Self-sufficiency is key to a happy stay in a rental home. We do provide housekeeping and 24/7 maintenance, but this is primarily for properties in between stays. Our staff services multiple rental properties, unlike a hotel that manages a single building. We have to strike a balance between cost and service, and have found that our current system has struck this balance. Our hope is that our guests understand the difference between booking a hotel and a rental home.
