About this property

A PINK DOOR WELCOME near eateries breakfast + parking included

Breakfast for the first morning is in fridge includes: overnight oats, rolls, eggs, butter, plenty of coffee and tea. This is not a service but an extra I supply at no additional charge.

We do live above the unit. we do our best to be respectful during active hours. Quiet hours 10pm-7am. Please be sure to communicate if anything is disruptive as your comfort and enjoyment is important to us. We will do the same.

Wrap your arms around your loved one at this stylish and centrally-located home away from home. Right next to Jefferson Park, bike paths, and within walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. Take the light rail or bus downtown in 10 mins, ride your bike or rent our electric bikes and explore the local area. Bike paths right outside the front door. Take your dog for a walk at Jefferson Park or stroll with your coffee from Victrola. Watch the Sunset from Jefferson over the city. I do live above the unit. The home is 3 levels. The apartment is at basement level with separate entrance and laundry. There is central ac in main room controlled by main house and an extra portable for your comfort. Our home is on the corner of hinds and hinds place which becomes kind of an alley. At the end of the alley is an apartment complex and columbus ave. Beacon Ave is 3 blocks from the rental. Two blocks from house is Jefferson Park. It has tennis courts, driving range, golf course, play ground, and walking paths. It's a great place to watch the sunset over downtown Seattle.

Space: As you enter, the 14’ ceilings and arches invite you into the main area. Comfortable chenille sofa and velvet rocking chair. Flat screen TV hooked to Apple TV with remote. Victrola record player with several old records to play. The kitchen is fully stocked with spices, tea, coffee, sweetener, pots, pans and sharp knives. Water filter pitcher in fridge. Unit not comfotable for children under 9 years.

There is a queen size bed and closet in main bedroom with a door for privacy. There is no window in this room. The second bedroom is an open loft above kitchen with a small window and ceiling height of about 4’6”. Most will not be able to stand in the loft area due to ceiling height. It too has a queen mattress. Soft clean sheets and down comforter with down alternative pillows are provided. Lots of blankets, clean white towels, and plenty of cleaning/bathing supplies.

The view from the unit is facing deck and about 6 feet above the deck looking towards some landscaping. This allows plenty of privacy.

The deck is open to use. However, if either home owner or guest is having a private gathering, pre-notification/request is wonderful and considerate. Otherwise, shared space all welcome to use even if being used as it is plenty big to share. The deck furniture is comfortable, there is an umbrella, and chiminea to relax and enjoy. Neighborhood: Beacon hill is in the middle of early transformation. Lots of older homes being bought and upgraded.

Beacon hill is quintessential seattle. Very little homeless but a very diverse community. Both older couples and young families. It is LGBTQ friendly, family friendly, pet friendly. and primarily homes, with beacon ave having many restaurants and coffee shops. Beacon ave is about 4 blocks away from home and Jefferson park literally 2 blocks away.

What I love about beacon hill is very little traffic, lots of parking, diversity, restaurants, and convenient location.

Beacon Hill is a great centrally located neighborhood with sweeping views of downtown and Puget Sound. The airport is less than 30 minutes away by light rail. You can also reach T-Mobile Park and Centurylink Field in 15 minutes by transit or a 35 minute walk.

Columbia City is a 5 minute drive. This up and coming neighborhood has small shops and restaurants to try. The Royal Room has live music most nights mostly jazz.

George Town is 5 minutes away as well. Many breweries, pubs, restaurants to explore.

North Beacon Hill is about an 8 minute drive to downtown, 10 minute bus ride or take the rail. Red Apple Grocery store is 3 min drive, 8 minute walk, or there is a PCC in Columbian City. Beacon hill itself is a great walking neighborhood. But not many small shops.

Sweet place to stay while in Seattle!

The place was so cute and very cozy, we felt totally at home and could live there Very close to downtown and pubs, groceries and not a far drive to some beaches and parks. Definately will stay here again someday. Oh and back porch area was so nice to soak up some much needed rays

Perfect little place

We loved our stay here. It was perfect for our family of three humans and one small dog. Everything from the fresh oats and eggs, to the fun decor to the very very comfortable beds. (I especially appreciated the can of Rainier that was waiting in the fridge) Poppy was a great host, and easy to reach when needed. Would happily come back and stay here again.

Quiet stay with easy access to amenities!

My husband and I stayed for the weekend and it was a lovey and cozy spot just a 10 minute walk away to restaurants and the link station. Close enough to the city without all the hustle and bustle!

Little Gem

This was a perfect place to stay for my friend and I. Cozy. Record player, so we brought a few records to listen to. The coffee maker makes amazing coffee and we appreciated the nice coffee beans. Breakfast was a huge highlight. Overnight oats, oranges, bread and eggs. It was very appreciated. Clean home. It was a fantastic stay.

Great place to stay!

My husband and I were so delighted with this oasis during our stay in Seattle. Our hostess had breakfast for us in the refrigerator along with some great Seattle treats, which was above and beyond. We were close to the Link and we were able to walk to it and get around the city like locals. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Stay!

This place had absolutely everything we needed- coffee, extra toiletries, and comfy beds. It's even larger than it looks in the pictures and it was the perfect place to come back to in the evening to watch tv or order in dinner. We'll definitely book again on our next trip to Seattle!

seattle vibes

We had such a great stay at the pink door! Being surrounded by such creativity and loveliness made us feel right at home. The details to making sure our needs were met were great, from breakfast in the fridge to slippers to putter around the house. We adored it! After a day of site seeing it was delightful to return to comfiness and records to listen to.

Nice Seattle Getaway

My daughters and I were interested in checking out points of interest in Seattle after visiting family near Bellingham and found this cute place. Besides the airport noise, the neighborhood seemed pretty quiet. The place itself was well-equipped and just the right size for the three of us. There was free wifi which was a plus. The host left us breakfast on our first night which was lovely. The patio also offered a place to escape and since the weather was nice we used it frequently. Overall a very nice place to stay.

We had a great time at the Pink Door! Beacon Hill is a fun part of Seattle, we felt very safe & comfortable. Beautiful in the spring. The suite was very well-equipped with comfortable beds, breakfast, cooking supplies, smart TV, & even a vinyl player! My dog also appreciated the treats & blankets. Terry was very communicative & helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!

Unique & Cozy

Property owner was communicative and accessible. Seems like a small thing, but I'm a big fan of sharp cutlery, and it was nice to prepare food with sharp knives. The house was near my daughter, whom we were visiting.

More bang for your buck

It is so hard to express what a GREAT host Terry is. There were more accommodations than we could have ever imagined. She gave us great recommendations on local places to go. We happened to get to meet her (and her dogs) in passing and she was an absolute delight! This was one of the first times we've stayed in a place that was so much more wonderful than the listing makes it out to be. I highly recommend staying at her beautiful home.

Great location, place, and host.

We were very happy we decided to stay four nights here with our visit to Seattle. Terry’s place was very nice and well stocked, the property and neighborhood is quaint and charming. It is close enough to Seattle that you can easily take an Uber to the city or the ballgame. But far enough away that you can find street parking for the second half of our stay when we rented a car to visit the National Parks. Terry provided us with breakfast for our first day, and the can of beer was nice to enjoy the night before we left. We also saved quite a bit of money using the Brita water pitcher as my other family members refuse to drink water directly out of the tap. Terry was very responsive to messages and checked in with us to ensure we were all doing okay. After a day touring, we enjoyed listening to Seattle grunge music on the phonograph/media player and watching The Office on the Apple TV. The Internet connection tested as super fast, I wish I could that speed where I lives. If we ever visit Seattle again, Terry’s place would be the first place I would want to stay.

Why they chose this property

This sweet little apartment has 14' ceilings in living room with windows looking out over deck. You enter at the bottom of stairs right before deck into your private apartment. Our home is about 7mins from downtown or stadiums and about a 8 min walk to the light rail. We are right off of I-5 exit so getting to home is a breeze. In the summer we open up the large deck which is a beautiful place to sit with a glass of wine or tea. But mostly, the apartment is well equipped, comfortable, convenient to seattle attractions and shopping.

What makes this property unique

on request we have an EV charging station for your use. Plenty of street parking. And your sweet pup is welcome.
