Built in 1900 this cottage retains much of it's original charm. This traditional home has both formal living and dining rooms. Furnished with one queen bed and one full-size bed, it is comfortable for four people. Off-street parking is available. Laundry facilities are in the basement. A separate studio apartment in the basement is not included. (inquire about availablity and rates for this separate studio apt).

Located in the Central Area of Seattle, this house is 10 minutes to Seattle's Capitol Hill, Madrona and Madison Park neighborhoods and Downtown Seattle. Public transportation is 1 block away which makes it convenient to all that Seattle has to offer. Lovely older house in a great location. May not be for everyone but we loved it. Coffee shop and beer bar just down the street. Several good restaurants within walking distance. Trader Joe’s and Safeway nearby. Neighborhood was safe, quiet and an easy 10 minute drive to downtown. Having the off street parking was a necessity as the street was parked full every day. Kitchen was well appointed. I didn’t realize there was a tenant in the basement until we heard their TV on the first morning.

Lovely cottage in the heart of town!

My husband, our 2yr old, and I had a fantastic stay at Cindy & José’s charming cottage while visiting family nearby. The location can’t be beat, easy access to everything the city has to offer in a cozy neighborhood setting. The hosts are fantastic communicators and so thoughtful in the little touches they left throughout the home. Thank you!! We would absolutely stay here again next time we’re back in Seattle.

Seattle refresher

Super clean, cozy cottage your grandma probably lived in. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Private parking provided. House has good juju. Would recommend!!!

Great location

House was clean, well stocked, and comfortable for 4 adults. We had no issues so did not have to contact Cindy & Jose during stay. The driveway is no joke. We rented a truck due to other steep driveway reviews and sure glad we did- hope your backing skills are good as not enough room to turn around if longer truck - it all worked well for us. Bus stop at corner was convenient & were easy to navigate for us country folks. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. An overall great place to stay!

Very nice!

We had a very nice stay in the Victorian house and loved the neighborhood.The house is very well located (even without a car) with a lot of grocery stores around. Very well equipped as well, everything you need is there and we really appreciated it.I didn't give 5 stars for 2 reasons: One is you are in the airline traffic pathway so be it's been quite noisy late at night and very early in the morning. Some people won't mind (my teenagers) but it did bother me and my husband.The other one is we found the beds old and not comfortable. They need to be changed in my opinion.Other than that we recommend this place very strongly if you plan to stay in Seattle.

Great home base for a fantastic trip

The property was exactly as described and served as a fantastic home base as we explored Seattle and the Cascades. We greatly enjoyed our time here. Other reviews are not joking about the driveway clearance. If you plan to visit and do need a car, opt for something that sits up high. We had no issues using transit and street parking in the neighborhood so no big deal. Will definitely be looking to stay here again if it is available next time I'm in town.

Home far away from home

My wife and I flew about 8000 miles all the way from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Seattle to spend the holidays with our daughters that recently moved into town. We chose this particular place because it was close to them but the house surpassed all our expectations.. it was absolutely perfect
