Must see to believe. Nestled in the wooded and rural Waterloo Recreation Area, this is a full house, not a cottage, with three full bedrooms (plus pull-out sofa) and three full bathrooms. The hand built, field stone fireplace, authentic barn beams and barn doors, and rustic chic decor make this house beautiful, cozy, and comfortable. The house is equipped with central air and internet, as well as washer and dryer, and the kitchen includes an unbelievable downdraft gas stove, granite countertops, dishwasher, microwave and Keurig.
Clear Lake is a private lake, with no pubic boat launch, located in Grass Lake, Michigan. The house is lakefront, with a modest dock. The full length porch overlooks this peaceful 136 acre lake, and has comfy outdoor seating for lounging, as well as tables for intimate outdoor dining. You may not launch your own watercraft of any sort, due to lake rules, but two kayaks are provided, as well as life jackets. Four inflatable rafts and a hand pump are available for your use.
The master bedroom with queen bed, including full bath with jet tub, and laundry, are on the first floor. The laundry room includes washer, dryer, ironing board and iron. There is a second bedroom (curtain closure) with a full bed, and a second full bath on the first floor. The loft holds a full bedroom with a full bed, and twin trundle beds, and a full bath. The couch in the living room pulls out to sleep two as well. The lofted area upstairs looks down into the living area with a view of the lake. There are books, toys, and games for kids and adults in the loft area. There is one TV, located in the living room, with Roku.

The house was lovely, in a beautiful location, and very clean. It’s right by the lake and sunsets were great. Accommodations were just right for 4 adults and 2 children.
We had a wonderful stay at the lake house, everything was comfortable and clean! Stacey was excellent to communicate with and very friendly. It was a beautiful location and the view and lake is wonderful. Thank you again for the great getaway!
We stayed for several days while getting one of our kids settled into U of Michigan. Really enjoyed this peaceful location. Paddled the kayaks around, took a hike, and our son enjoyed the fishing. Highly recommended.
What an amazing place to stay! Driving in the woods and then coming up to this home on the lake was so peaceful after a long day of horse showing. Would definitely stay again. Neighbors were also very nice and everyone passing on the boats would say hi while we watched the sunset every night.
The interior of this house on the lake shore is exquisitely decorated. I enjoyed working indoors, sipping coffee on the back porch, and even taking a quick dip in the clear waters of the lake (brrr). The host was great, super responsive when I had a question.
This home has so much to add to your lake house vacation. You can tell by the craftmanship and details this is a well loved home that has been in a family for a long time. Thank you for sharing your home.

We had 4 children under 16 and two adults. The house had everything we needed. Stacy meet us at the house and h"gave us all the details that we needed. The stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed ourselves. Will be renting again. Caught a 30+ inch pike!
Spacious, Clean and comfortable. Easy access to the water. Friendly neighbors for sure!
Great kitchen and Porch facing the water. We had fun just floating for 3 days!
Full disclosure...there is a dirt road to get into the property. Plan on driving very slow. But well worth the drive!
Thanks Stacey for sharing your Mom's dream house. The Flintstones will be back in 2021.
Our multigenerational family stayed in this beautiful lakeside home for four nights and enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and watching the sunset from the oversized porch. The house was well equipped.
The only small downside - it is about 20 minutes to a major grocery store. We planned ahead and ordered a pick-up order on the way from town. You should, too. The last few miles on unpaved washboard road makes a quick grocery run problematic.
Still, I recommend this home enthusiastically.
Wonderful property on an amazing lake off the beaten path. The house and view are even nicer than the pictures appear and we were very pleased to have a property that was better than expected.
Wonderful stay at this gorgeous property! Clean, tons of room, and rewarding fishing right off the dock. This private property is perfect for a peace, tranquil, and easy getaway.
Additionally, Chelsea, MI is a terrific town 15-20 minutes away that boasts a fun downtown, window shopping, and solid dining options, e.g. Common Grill, BBQ52, and Clearly Pub.
The only caveat, you better like the water. Not a lot of outdoor activities not on the water, and nothing is within walking distance. That said, why would one rent a property on water that was water averse.
This house was so beautiful and so spacious! We had plenty of room and plenty of dishes for everyone. The kayaks provided such a lovely way to explore the lake and all of the included life jackets were so appreciated. My kids loved fishing off the dock and catching fish after fish after fish…my 7 year old son wants to rename the lake to Bluegill Lake ;) The neighbors and Stacey were delightful and I cannot recommend this house enough. Plan to spend plenty of time relaxing watching all the hummingbirds!
We had a great stay!!! Very nice property with everything that you could ask for!!!!! My only recommendation is to clean the "dust bunnies" under the beds and in some of the corners. Other than that, very clean and extremely pleasant and enjoyable. As far as a quiet lake, that was the case for the most part, but there were a couple nights on the pier where the younger neighbors on boats or across the lake were a bit noisy with loud music and boisterousness. Otherwise, really nice neighbors.
We had a lovely family visit in a beautiful location with flowers and hummingbirds and a truly clear lake. The house was comfortable, well appointed, clean and charming with some fun nostalgia items on display. The porch was our favorite gathering space for snacks and drinks. Thank you, Stacey.
The lake house was so much more than we expected. It was spacious, inviting and well stocked.
We rented 2 stand up paddle boards for the week while we were there. The lake was like bath water, and it is so clear. It was a treat to be able to see the bottom of a lake.
Stacy was more than accommodating. She was able to answer all of our questions and requests. The hummingbird feeder was running out of sugar water, so she arranged to have it filled for us. The hummingbirds are such a treat to watch.
As mentioned in Stacy's description, you are not able to bring your own motorized water vehicles onto the lake. That didn't bother us, as we just rented the paddle boards for the week and had a blast with them.
Thank you, Stacy. Our stay was wonderful, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Property was very beautiful and clean. Easy contact with property manager.
The only thing I would mark down is the steps going to the dock, should have a railing for safety purposes, but otherwise a good rental!
Fantastic view and location. Felt right at home and was very lovely
Has everything you need and more. Stacey is very friendly and made sure we had a great stay. Very very very lovely home right off of lake.
