Jack's Bend~ A Guest Cottage ON Sylamore Creek

Conveniently located between Court Square and Blanchard Springs, Jack's Bend is the perfect getaway for those who want easy access to area attractions while enjoying the beauty of the Ozarks . With a stone fire pit overlooking the creek, a hammock for two, and a private deck with grill you'll find the perfect place for a getaway in Mountain View.

Jack's Bend cabin has one bedroom with queen bed and one full bathroom with tub/shower combo as well as a queen sleeper sofa and dining table with seating for four.

**Because it located is on a bluff, this cabin may not be suitable for small children. The firepit is atop the bluff and the steps leading to the creek are steep, which can be unsafe for those with mobility issues. The creek access landing at the bottom of the steps is small and does not provide a beachy area, though it's the perfect place to hop in for a swim or take off on a float. Please note, the creek is not visible from inside the cabin.

This cabin is pet friendly- with $50 pet fee (2 dogs max). Please let me know at booking if you plan to bring a dog. House Rules for dogs apply.

Jack's Bend is located in a quiet neighborhood about halfway between Blanchard Springs and Court Square and offers private direct access to Sylamore Creek via steep and narrow stone steps, which may not be suitable for small children or those with mobility issues. Most of the area attractions are nearby. Other homes are visible from the cabin, including "Jane's Bend," the separate main cabin on the property. Please inquire if you're interested in renting both cabins.

Jack's Bend is accessed by a county-maintained gravel road, which may become impassable in winter conditions. Otherwise all cars (but not motorcycles) make the drive just fine.

Rental Rules

~Primary guest must be age 25 or older

~Check in is 4:00 PM-10PM / Check out is 11:00 AM

~No Smoking in or near the Cabin

~Dogs are allowed, with Pet Fee

~No loud noise or parties

~Absolutely no UTV's, ATV’s, Trailers, or Campers allowed

~Number of guests cannot exceed the maximum occupancy as stated in the listing

~It should be noted that our properties are located in a rural and, in some cases, remote area of the Ozarks, where you will find many different forms of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, mice, snakes, eagles, wild hogs, black bear, skunks, and opossums are common, and may be a nuisance at certain times of the year. Other pests such as ants, wasps, mosquitos, spiders, bees, flies, and gnats also live nearby. Each property has a regular/quarterly pest control service, but we cannot guarantee against Guests seeing any animals or pests during their stay and no refunds will be made for this.
Pet Rules:
*Please clean up after your dog.
*Please do not allow your dog to bark excessively or to roam onto neighboring properties. Many of our homes are located near residential neighborhoods, and we must respect the comfort and privacy of those residents. Complaints may lead to eviction without refund.
*Please do not allow dogs on furniture or beds. It is also helpful to bring something (bed, blanket, etc.) on which you know your pet will be comfortable sleeping. Extra cleaning fees will be charged for furniture, blankets, comforters, etc. that have pet hair left behind.
*Please don’t leave your dog unattended for long periods of time. A crate is ideal for those situations in which you must leave. You are responsible for any damages your pet causes.
*Please ensure that your dog’s medications and immunizations are up-to-date, especially flea treatment.
