Relaxing Stay

We had an enjoyable stay and host was accomodating when we asked for the pool to be heated although it was not clear it wasn't heated all year round. House was clean and bathrooms are absolutely beautiful. All in all our second trip to Bordeaux and it was thoroughly enjoyable!

Lovely house excellent location, very nice people

We had a lovely time as a family of three adults and four kids. The house is lovely, nice pool and outside seating, excellent amenities and Valerie (the owner) and Wara who helped us settle in could not have been nicer - both lovely people. Ares is a nice little town, great restaurants and everyone was really friendly. We would definitely stay there again Kieran & Maeve

great stay, lovely location

We had a great time in the lovely decorated house and enjoyed the pool as well as the outdoor BBQ. There was a warm welcome during arrival. The facility is close to the centre to buy bread for breaky. The area is also great to explore by bike, going to the beach or around the bay on the bike path.

Merveilleuses vacances

We spent two wonderful relaxing weeks in Valéries beautiful Villa. The house and the whole equipment is stylish and cosy. Garden and pool are awesome. It is a very quite and friendly neighbourhood. Just a short walk to bakery, butcher and supermarket. Thank you Valérie for the friendly contact and Wara for the help on site. We highly recommend this beautiful villa and would love to come back soon! ☀️

Nice garden and pool

Lovely garden area…,house is nice although a bit tired in bits and as others say could be a privacy issue with walking through a bedroom to get to master…my grown up son slept in this room and had to creep by him in morning so not to wake him. Also another bedroom is in a garden room/garage which may not work for all families as is outside main house and guests have to come into main house for toilet. The kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor barbecue area was a nice bonus. We had a lovely stay there and was a great location to cycle and explore the area.

Great location

Great location, outdoor facilities and garden which we enjoyed. The pool is not alarmed, have a cover or fenced so care needed for children and animals. No mention in the description that you have to walk through one bedroom to access another or that the fourth bedroom is in a separate building and you have to walk outside to access the bathroom. There are also some changes in level in the property which are not obvious immediately - into kitchen and to the en suite bedroom. Unfortunately we had a number of minor issues the main ones being a broken aircon unit which poured water when on and took 2 days to isolate so we had no aircon in the lounge for those days and the pool turned green due to lack of testing so no pool for two days. These were sorted but no apology or recompense was forthcoming from the owner. Inside the property it only has seating for 6 at the dining table and 4 on the sofas although there is plenty of outdoor furniture. Outdoor seat pads and umbrella need replacing as were very tired and ripped in places. Wara was good at responding but it took time to get things sorted.

Pour la chambre traversante et la chambre indépendante c est stipulé dans l annonce . Concernant la climatisation , seule une unité est tombée en panne et dans le salon il y a deux unités . Une seule suffit pour rafraîchir la pièce de 50 m2 et elle a toujours été en fonction . Nous avons arrêté uniquement une unité et vous avez toujours eu la climatisation pendant tout votre séjour à 21 degrés d ailleurs selon vos souhaits . Concernant la piscine , un orage et de très fortes chaleurs ont amené une algue verte malgré la piscine au sel et sa filtration h24. Nous sommes de suite intervenus pour la traiter et vous avez été privés de piscine juste le temps que les produits n irritent pas votre peau à savoir 4 heures . Pour le parasol un coup de vent à cassé une baleine du parasol pendant votre séjour . Nous allons changer tous les coussins extérieurs car en effet les laisser dehors les abîment. Vous m avez demandé de vous faire une faveur financière ce que j ai refusé étant intervenue immédiatement et n ayant pas apprécié votre façon de faire et l exagération de vos propos . Nous faisons tout pour satisfaire nos locataires avec panier de bienvenue , linges et draps changés chaque semaine gratuitement . Nous répondons à toutes vos demandes et acceptons les animaux .

Paradise on the Arcachon Basin

If you enjoy swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, cycling long distances on safe paths through lovely pine forests, oysters and chilled white wine and immersing yourself in french culture while staying in a very well appointed home with a great entertainment area and salinated swimming pool then this is the ideal villa which we would highly recommend. Situated on a quiet road which is only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ares with boulangerie(2), boucherie, restaurants and a small Carrefour as well as easy access to interesting walks along the beaches of the Arcachon Basin ( we had no problems with walking our dog on the beaches). Plage Cohort is 15 minutes drive from the villa with miles and miles of clean white beaches with warm Atlantic water (20 degrees) and good surf.(also no problem with our dog on the beach). We had a truly wonderful 3 weeks holiday. Communication with Valerie the owner as well as her support team of Wara and Nicolas was excellent and any issues were quickly and efficiently dealt with. ( including supplying fresh linen every week) The description of the property is accurate except that it was not clear that the the main en suite bedroom is accessed through a second bedroom which, while it was not a problem for us, could be a privacy issues for unrelated adult couples. An outside shower would be a welcome addition to the property. Overall a wonderful holiday and hopefully we can return one day.

QUELQUES JOURS A ARES

Quelques jours de repos, autour de la piscine et du barbecue de la Villa Marguerite, au calme avec pour seule musique le gazouilli des oiseaux, nous a permi de nous retrouver en famille, de se déconnecter. les petits commerces sont à 300 mètres, le port oestréicole un peu plus loin, et le marché d'Andernos est à découvrir. La Villa Marguerite est trés bien équipée, tout est bien pensé. Adresse à conserver

Vacances au calme

Maison agréable à vivre ,les extérieurs sont très sympa (sans les moustiques se serait encore mieux 😏). Petit village agréable avec les commerces de proximité suffisants (le petit marché est à faire pour sa bonne humeur)Valérie la propriétaire a toujours été à l'écoute pendant le séjour. je recommanderai cet endroit pour passer des vacances tranquilles en famille. Très agréable maison

Tolles Haus in super Lage

Das Haus hat alles was man braucht, wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 4 Teenager. Toller Pool für die Kids, sehr schöner Garten der eine große Ruhe ausstrahlt, sehr schöner Strand ganz in der Nähe.

Une semaine en famille élargie

Tout très bien Il manquait juste un 2ème jeux de clés Et un détail, quand il fait chaud, les lattes en bois autour de la piscine suintent de la résine qu’il faudrait je pense gratter quand c’est sec ? Mais ce sont des détails : la maison dégage de très bonnes énergies et nous avons avons passé un très bon séjour

Maison très agréable avec de superbes extérieurs

Maison joliement décorée et très bien équipée. Le jardin est superbe, un havre de paix. L'emplacement est idéal, très calme mais à 3mn à pieds du centre ville. Nous avons apprécié toutes les gentilles attentions des propriétaires, le bois pour la cheminée et le vin. Très appréciable aussi de trouver quelques produits dans la cuisine. Bref, nous recommandons cette belle maison.

Erholsamer Urlaub

Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Garten und Pool sind großartig. Der Ort selbst ist noch nicht so touristisch und der abendliche Spaziergang zu den Austernbänken mit Verkostung wurde schnell zu einer schönen Routine. Wir empfehlen dieses Ferienhaus.
