The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, consisting of one double and one twin, as well as a bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area. Outside there's a decked area leading to a lawned garden, as well as roadside parking with a car park opposite. 79 Laurel Bank is situated in a lovely town location with plenty to see and do nearby.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Roadside parking, plus car park across the road. Decked area leading to lawned garden with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 min walk. Note: Mobile phone reception is very limited. Note: There are 13 steps down to the rear garden from the kitchen door.

Cottage défraîchi et à la propreté douteuse

Le cottage est Atypique avec la cuisine en contrebas de l’escalier et le jardin en bas d’un escalier, la maison a beaucoup de charme. Mais l’entretien laisse à désirer. Les canapés sont abîmés comme de nombreux meubles. Le tiroir des découverts ne fonctionne pas bien. Nous avons donc sorti le bac à couverts. Le fond du tiroir était dégoûtant tout comme le bac à couverts. Les oreillers, le tapis et pire les draps, taies d’oreillers et les housses de protection des oreillers et du matelas sont tachés. C’est honteux de louer avec de telles prestations. Il n’y avait pas de machine à café. Nous avons laissé un message à la propriétaire qui n’a jamais repondu. La poubelle n’a pas de couvercle. Nous avons acheter un désodorisant d’intérieur. Le village est tres agréable. Je le conseille en revanche je vous conseille de choisir une autre location.

This property is in a brilliant spot, right in the centre of the village which is great for local amenities, yet in a semi rural location . It is really well equipped, neat and clean.

Nice property in central location

Good size property in a great central location with local shop & several pubs in walking distance. Great park across the road if you have kids or taking a dog with you. On a personal level the negatives for me was the wooden stairs from back door to garden which are a bit steep as I have arthritis in my hips. Also the people living next door were rather noisy with a particular habit of slamming the iron front gate. These are just minor personal niggles so they wouldn't prevent me from recommending Laurelbank if you're looking for a good spot to base yourself for visiting the Galloway Forest or the beaches around the Doorway area.
