Centrally located, well-appointed stone cottage adjacent to the home of the host and his family, in the heart of Bayeux. Easy walking to historic sites (the eponymous tapestry and huge High-Middle-Ages cathedral are both literally just around the corner) and excellent restaurants. Everything of interest from Le Mont St. Michel to the awe-inspiring sites of the D-Day Liberation is within easy driving distance. The host (a university physics professor) and his wife are friendly, attentive and very helpful. The cottage itself is comfortable, clean, fully equipped and has abundant space to spread out to plan the next day's sightseeing. It has its own garden and outside seating area with great views of the cathedral spires.
