The most perfect vacation home in the heart of Bayeux

This is without any doubt the best place we’ve stayed as a family. Besides the perfect location in the center of Bayeux, the house itself is extremely nice, with lots of space for our family of 5. We also enjoyed the beautiful garden with a speculative view to the Cathedral. We highly recommend this for a Bayeux vacation, and Nicolas and his family are the perfect hosts. We cannot wait to come back

Unique location with a lot of extras

We really enjoyed both the surroundings and certainly the beautiful house with a lot of extras. Unique location in the middle of Bayeux and yet so quiet. I will definitely promote the property if anyone wants to discover Normandie.

Great location to see the sights of Bayeaux, easy walking, and to drive to Mont Saint Michel, D-Day beaches etc. Host amicable and able to communicate in English. Accommodation had everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Awesome Place!

This is such a cool house! Extremely Clean and well stocked. It is just a short walk to downtown Bayeux. Nicolas is extremely nice and accomodating. One of the best VRBOs our family has every stayed in!

Fantastic property, right in the middle of town, with a beautiful garden and lots of space for the kids to run around. Nicolas was very responsive, helpful and friendly. The house was spotless, spacious and very well appointed. We would definitely return!

Beautiful house, beautiful town

Nicolas was our gracious host, handling our special requests and making us feel welcome. The property is beautiful inside and out. The washing machine really helped and the refrigerator is large enough to hold everything. Stores and restaurants are close and the town is easy to walk.

Nicholas the owner was kind. House was big. I would of liked it to be a bit more cosy. A rug on the floor and a softer couch and chairs in the lounge room would of been excellent. Still we were very grateful for the carpark and close proximity to town. It was good value

Charming house near town

Nicholas was gracious host. House was clean and all the rooms decorated nicely. He had bottle of local cider as welcome gift. The house was perfect location for Bayeux area. Only a few minutes walk to down town tapestry and cathedral. Plenty room for family to relax, cook a meal and rest overnight. We highly recommend.

Great Base for Visiting Bayeux and Western Normandy

Centrally located, well-appointed stone cottage adjacent to the home of the host and his family, in the heart of Bayeux. Easy walking to historic sites (the eponymous tapestry and huge High-Middle-Ages cathedral are both literally just around the corner) and excellent restaurants. Everything of interest from Le Mont St. Michel to the awe-inspiring sites of the D-Day Liberation is within easy driving distance.The host (a university physics professor) and his wife are friendly, attentive and very helpful. The cottage itself is comfortable, clean, fully equipped and has abundant space to spread out to plan the next day's sightseeing. It has its own garden and outside seating area with great views of the cathedral spires.

My family and I had a wonderful stay and I can highly recommend the location. The whole property is in an excellent state. The close proximity to the cathedral, the different museums and the inner city means that no car is necessary for everything in Bayeux. The cathedral can be seen out of the bedroom window right under the roof. To visit the 20 D-Day related museums and tomconduxt further trips to i.e. Mont St.Michel you need a car. Also here the property offers a safe parking possibility. WiFi works in the entire house which was a problem in other locations but not here. Communication with the owners is always easy (English is no problem) and the dog was a major attraction for our daughter. We will certainly come back!

The perfect spot in Bayeux

This cottage is absolutely perfect. Nicolas is very responsive and lives right next to it, he was incredibly helpful with recommendations for places to eat and answered all of our questions before and during our visit. The house is updated, clean and comfortable. It also has a view of the Bayeux cathedral from the upstairs window that’s simply breathtaking. Conveniently located near restaurants and grocery if needed. We weren’t there long enough to cook but the kitchen had everything you would need if you wanted to. An added bonus is the family dog, she’s the sweetest pup and loves getting a few pets when you see her. We would absolutely stay here again.

Captures the cozy feeling of Normandy

Our first time visiting Normandy and the D-Day beaches. Bayeux turned out to be a great place to base from. The town, having not been destroyed like so many others during the war, has immense charm. It is very walkable right from the house and the Bayeux tapestry and cathedral can’t be missed. Lots of other great sights as well. Nicholas, the host was very communicative and gave us the options of checking in early and out late, though this of course won’t always be available. There is really only one notable odd thing about the house. You must access the master bedroom through the primary bathroom. It just requires some communication and coordination within your group. I would definitely stay in this location again.

Our Bayeux stay

We enjoyed a fantastic stay in Bayeux thanks to Nicholas and his wonderful accommodation. All our needs were catered for on arrival. Nicholas even made the house available to us much earlier than was agreed, which with two small children in tow, we were very grateful for! The house was cosy and comfortable and the children were more than happy to spend their days playing with all the toys on offer or running up and down the hill in the back garden, checking in on the chickens and playing on the slide. This made for a relaxing stay for us! The location of the house is excellent! Beautiful view of the cathedral, we loved hearing the bells ringing throughout the day. We were located minutes away from the town centre and enjoyed many strolled through the historic streets. Despite its town location, the property was very quiet! Nicholas lives on site with his family and while he was always very attentive to any of our needs, he respected our privacy at all times! We would love to think that we might visit again! We would have no hesitation in recommending this glorious property to others! Thank you Nicholas for looking after us so well during our family holiday!

Great stay in Bayeux/ Schöne Zeit in Bayeux

Wir haben dieses schöne, geschmackvoll eingerichtete Haus sehr genossen. Es ist modern und dennoch gemütlich eingerichtet mit viel natürlichen Materialien. Insgesamt ist es sehr geräumig und funktional ausgestattet, so dass es uns an nichts gefehlt hat. Genial war die zentrale aber dennoch sehr ruhige Lage ca. 3 Min. von der Kathedrale entfernt. Der Garten ist sehr groß und wunderschön, wir und unser Hund haben sich darin sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Vermieter Nicolas ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hat uns verschiedene Tipps gegeben. Wir hoffen sehr, dass wir wiederkommen können.

Beautiful quiet place

This home was so beautiful, clean and spacious. Nicolas and his family have made it very inviting for a large group or large family. There are plenty of games, toys, books and DVDs to keep you entertained. The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance, pot pan and cutlery. The beds are clean and comfy. I highly recommend staying here, the pictures does not do it justice!

Magnifique

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à Bayeux ! La maison louée était adorable, très spacieuse, très joliment décorée.
