This place has history and charm. Right across from the water and walking distance to food and shopping. The property manager was very attentive and pleasant. We highly recommend.
Location, Location, Location!!!House was comfortable and in perfect spot near darling shops and restaurants. Our 2 year old grandchild LOVED all the children’s books!
Overall, the property was extremely clean and well stocked with a beautiful view and very good location to downtown shops and restaurants. Even though close to downtown, the area was very quiet. One should note that the stairs to second floor are quite steep and narrow. Would highly recommend and would book for a return trip.
The location of the house was perfect. We only used our car once in 5 days. We walked everywhere and fully enjoyed downtown Mystic— it’s lovely shops, restaurants and beautiful views. It was a step into history to live at the Captain’s home. Many framed pieces told us about the history of the house and Mystic. The view right across the street was a beautiful part of the river. Beds and linens were very comfy. We had much more than enough space for the 4 of us gals. The kitchen was well stocked, and the clothes washer and dryer were easy to use. Showers were perfect. The stairway to the upstairs bedrooms is steeper than in modern homes, and the eaves in the upstairs bedrooms could make it uncomfortable for tall folks.Everything about the home was as advertised. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Mystic Riverfront Captain’s Home.
Wonderful historic home in fantastic Mystic location! Loved the addition of the fire table on the patio and walking to downtown Mystic every day. A little too close to Mystic Drawbridge ice cream ; )

The house was absolutely amazing! Fully equipped for whatever you need and more. Our host Gerard was
It was absolutely beautiful. Cozy and the location was out of this world. Being able to just walk to the shops and restaurants was wonderful. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
The property was clean and meticulously maintained. When it snowed, the service was there to shovel before we got out of bed. It's a quirky house, thanks to the age, but it's so cozy. And you cannot beat the location. We enjoyed it so much!
You could not find a more convenient or relaxing location! 1/2 block from downtown Mystic’s shopping and dining, and a beautiful view of the Mystic River across the street. Nights outside on the patio were magical. The house itself is full of charm and history, although I would caution that the stairs to the second floor are very narrow and steep. Older people might find the climb difficult, and heavy suitcases are difficult to maneuver. Other than that, when we had questions, the host responded quickly and courteously, and we fully enjoyed our stay.
We had a wonderful stay and the location was perfect! This was our first time in Mystic, CT and we will definitely be back. The walk to the shops area was less than 3 minutes. The Captain's House is charming and has a lot of history. Our arrival instructions were spot on and very easy. Gerard is a wonderful host and very responsive to all our needs. The house has all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay!

This house is absolutely perfect for your stay in Mystic! Steps from all the shops and restaurants and the decor fits this little seaport town perfectly. Owners were so nice and communication was top notch! Very clean and all amenities included!! Highly recommended and hope to stay again soon!
Incredible in every way. Ideal location, beautiful view and the perfect combination of historic charm and modern convenience. Gerard was available though we never needed a thing. The early check-in and late check-out gave us lots of time for strolling the waterfront and shops. We absolutely hope to be back!
