Uncle Bill’s was very well equipped with everything we needed. It was large enough to bring the whole family but we were lucky to have it to ourselves. Host was available to answer questions when needed. We were able to download maps on our phone and ride to wolf pen gap from the house through the National Forest. We look forward to returning soon! Perfect weekend getaway!
The property was perfect for our three generations of family who stayed there. The living room and bedrooms were very comfortable. We had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We used the hot tub every evening, and cooked hot dogs in the fire pit. The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing any kind of meal. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great relaxation spot. comfortable. This was definitely a great value!
Nice little getaway to visit the college campus. We will be back. Lots of room so our big family will be able to stay together when we come up for soccer games.
Beautiful home out in the country. You definitely have to be going there on purpose. House was clean and inviting. There were a lot of flies this time of year, but a handy flyswatter took care of that. My kids going in and out definitely contributed to them getting in the house. Everyone had a wonderful time.
Property was exactly as listed but the photos do not do it justice. I travel a lot and once a year my family and I enjoy a long break together. I always try and find something large enough for us, off the beaten path, with a natural setting. This place is that and some. the winding roads, the tall tree lined path, the large green lawn, the wrap around porch, it was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked whole meals every night. The rooms had a unique layout that we actually enjoyed with connecting doors. Beds were soft and there was plenty of seating for everyone inside and outside. Very clean and no strange smells. When you have allergies and asthma like I do that is a bonus. And when we did encounter one small issue the family was quick to respond. Absolutely loved this place. Affordable and amazing in every way. Thank you for hosting us.
We absolutely loved everything about Uncle Bill's Place. It's decorated so beautifully and has everything you need to enjoy time away in the country yet close to many outdoor activities for families to enjoy. It truly was a home away from home for our family this week. Shannon checked in on us but Uncle Bill's Place had everything we needed. We'd definitely stay there again!
Lots of room to relax, fully stocked. We enjoyed the coffee bar, yard games and playground. The beds were very comfy. The water had a bit of a smell, I’m assuming it’s on a well, but it wasn’t terrible. Would stay again.
3 day motorcycle trip in the area and this was a great place to come back to, cook, make a fire, and relax. Great communication from the host. Some horses and cows are managed by the barn cat. Overall this is a gem and worth every penny.
Great place! Really enjoyed our stay. Everything went smoothly. We were a little surprised to see a cow in the front yard when we got there! It was quickly returned to the pasture. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed with our children and 4 other family members - 4 adults and 4 kids all together. All of the kids loved the place. Kitchen and living room are huge. Great spaces to gather. Bedrooms and bathrooms are all nice and amenities were nice too. Kids liked the playset and the campfire and the porches. The AC unit in the house was extremely loud (my only complaint - we still loved the place). There was a storm the 2nd night and the views from the cabin made for some good storm watching. Lots of fun things to do in the area.
Our family makes an annual pilgrimage to the Wolfpen Gap Trails to explore and enjoy the Oachita Mountainside and this cabin made this year’s trip a very enjoyable experience. It was far enough away that we were unbothered by the trail traffic, but close enough that it only took us about 30 minutes to get trailer our bikes up to the trailhead we like to start from. All the bedrooms were well-appointed and felt like home. The kitchen and bathrooms were all well- stocked with all the comforts of home, including details such as spices, extra towels, fans in the bedrooms (this was a huge deal for us, even though we packed our own, it’s a huge relief to know we won’t have to on our next trip)! We were delighted with the Roku TV that we were able to stream all our favorite shows during our unwinding time in the evenings.
All the way around, our stay was phenomenal. So relaxing and peaceful. I would recommend to anyone who wants to stay just down the mountain within cell phone range.
We will be returning.
We originally booked this cabin for all of our grown children and our grand baby to vacation with us, but due to a last minute squabble among the young adults, we decided to bring our friends instead. It worked perfectly for us and our friends, and I still believe it will be a perfect home away from home for a large family.
My family loved staying in this cute home! Lots of sweet extras, very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the basket of kid’s toys and outdoor playset, the extra friendly cats outside, hot tub, and location. We would definitely book again if we are back in the area. Thank you!
Great little vacation spot. The room layout worked really well for me and the family and the kids loved getting to watch the horses and cows.
Communication from host was fantastic. You can tell they care about the experience and time spent at their cabin.
Nice and secluded. Would definitely recommend to others.
I love this property and home! It was perfectly located in the country but still close enough to town to shop & eat out, and located convenient enough to creeks and trails. Our host was very accommodating and answered any questions quickly. We would love to rent again!!

About the host
Hosted by Kenny and Shannon
My name is Shannon. My husband, Kenny, and I have lived here all our lives. We love traveling and meeting new people. We live nearby and are available to help with suggestions for fun or just to answer questions. We know you are here for a vacation and will respect your privacy. Just know that we are here if you need us.
Why they chose this property
My husband, and I, own this property along with his parents. It belonged to his uncle, hence the name. It is located on our family farm so it means a lot to our family. We hated to see it run down so we spent some time and money to remodel it and decided to offer it to others to enjoy the rural life too.
What makes this property unique
Our home is located in the rural part of Arkansas. We are surrounded by natural beauty. This is a great place to unwind and get away from it all.
