Kitty was very easy to work with, she thought of everything a traveler would need! Kitty left detailed directions from the property to the trails for UTV's, the property is also set up to park your trailer and leave it while you enjoy the trails and town.
Absolutely the best host that I have experienced hands down .Its so much more than just the cabin you access to creek they have kayaks to used and Very large property you can explore.
The cabin was great. It was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. Just a short walk to the creek,( us cajuns say bayou), everything was spot on. Kitty was the best. She inquired if we needed anything but she and Fish had already taken care pretty much everything. We would definitely recommend to any and everyone. You won't be disappointed. If there was a negative, it would be the driveway, a bit steep, but not a game changer for sure. Thank you Kitty and Fish, God bless.
This place is a gold mine. The hosts are so kind and thoughtful with the amenities. The land is a slice of heaven. The fishing was good for catfish. The view is so peaceful. Loved it!
We had a great experience at the cabin. The hosts were awesome. All their attention to detail was refreshing and thoughful. From the welcome cookies to the coffee pods, to the kyaks, fishing gear and much more... We were extremely satisfied and appreciative. Highly recommend this great place.
We had a wonderful stay in this small but wonderful cabin. There was a 'huge' area for our dogs to run and play in and the setting was definitely peaceful. The stars at night were incredible to see considering that living close to a city, you don't see a whole lot. We really enjoyed our stay and will absolutely book again here, if available. Thanks Kitty and Fish for being great hosts!
Cabin was clean and perfect for us. We enjoyed being secluded from all the traffic and loud noises. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Mrs. Kitty was very nice and the cabin is well equipped. We will be back!! Thanks Mrs. Kitty for sharing your piece of God's Country!!
It's nice to see southern hospitality alive and well. Fish and Kitty are some of the finest folks I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The property had everything one could ask for. I couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be returning! Made my son's 18th birthday one for the books!!!
The property is quiet, clean, well stocked, and conveniently located. The host is great and easily accessible. We really enjoyed our stay. We took a walk in the neighborhood, went kayaking down the creek, watched the hummingbirds and deer and star gazed from the back deck. It was a very relaxing weekend stay to celebrate our anniversary. The wifi didn't work for us but we were okay with that because we needed to unplug.
This cabin was such a fun get away! The boys enjoyed the loft sleeping arrangements and thought the miniature house (compared to our own) was adorable! The ten year old wanted to stay! Hahaha
Wish we could have taken advantage of the fishing poles, kayaks, and fire pit… but our car decided to poop out on us and put a kink in our day! Luckily an in town mechanic handled the situation and got us back on the road! Thanks for sharing your cabin Kitty and Fish!
We recently spent the 4th of July at this wonderful cabin nestled just outside of Mena within a serene spot that felt like a private retreat. Highlights of our stay:4th if July Fireworks Show: We were delighted to watch the camp host’s 4th of July fireworks right from the spacious yard—what a magical surprise!Room to Roam: The large yard was perfect for our dogs and grandson to explore and play. Our pups especially loved splashing around the creek—it was a true pet-friendly haven.Outdoor Adventure: We fished along Prairie Creek,Plus, the provided map made our SxS ride to Wolf Pen Gap and Fourche Mountain trails a breeze about 15 minutes away and was so convenient. Cozy Amenities: With a well-equipped kitchen, welcoming deck and grill, it was easy to feel at home. The cabin was clean, thoughtfully stocked, and exactly as advertised. The fresh baked cookies to welcome you was a thoughtful touch. Kitty & Fish were amazing and made sure were had everything we needed. It was a truly relaxing and fulfilling family escape, mixing peaceful downtime with outdoor fun. Our grandson and four-legged companions were in heaven. Highly recommend Prairie Creek Cabin for anyone seeking a tranquil nature retreat close to amenities and adventure.
We traveled to Mena for the ATV TRAILS and CRYSTAL MINING. This cabin is perfect for 2 that plan to spend the day exploring all Mena has to offer. Neighborhood was beautiful but still rural with plenty of space between you and the next lot. Back deck overlooking field that leads to the creek. Cabin is equipped with everything you need. We chose to pick up groceries in town at Walmart and prepare our meals for the weekend. Cabin bed and pillows were very comfortable. Please note this is a cabin. The shower is a single person stand shower and the bathroom is very small. Everything was VERY CLEAN, well decorated and equipped. Kitty was very responsive and had everything we needed for our stay!
Never expected such complete thoroughness they took to provide an excellent stay. Everything was top notch. Very clean. So many extras

Why they chose this property
We are from Texas and fell in love with the mountains and Mena. We found our 14 acre property and loved its location and everything it offers and retired here. Beautiful views and complete peace of country living.
