Served our extended family well
Beautiful property that served us well for an extended family get-together. It's hard to find a 6-bedroom property, and while this one is listed as a 5-bedroom, the upstairs media room has double bunks, and worked as a 6th bedroom for kids. The down side of both this bunk room and the basement one is the sound issue. There is no door on the upstairs room (which is why I now understand why it's not considered a bedroom), and the barn door on the basement bunk room does not close tightly to keep out sound and light. (Note that there is no bathroom on that 3rd level, but there is one at the bottom of the stairs that also serves the queen bedroom, where an elderly parent slept, which worked well.)
Mealtimes are a big deal for us to all eat together. We had 13 at this property, and the only dining table seated about 9 or so, with no space to add an extra table, but we made it work. (There are 3 bar stools at the island.)
The kitchen was well-stocked enough but you should bring your own coffee/tea and food storage containers (there were none). We also brought some nightlights which ended up being helpful.
We were there after Christmas and several of us managed the steep walk down to the water and kayaked on a couple of the nicer days. That was a plus. Water levels are controlled on this lake and were lowered about 20'. (Docks of properties on the other side of the lake were out of the water.)
Tara was very responsive and accommodating to a couple of special requests we had.
