About this property
Charming Renovated Old House next to Lourmarin with swimming pool and A/C
The property is located in the heart of a small village (Puyvert) in the Luberon natural reserve renowned for the beauty of its landscapes, its azure skies, striking architecture of its hilltop villages and authenticity of the street markets. In summer the region offers fans numerous festivals, some of which are internationally famous: Theater in Avignon, Opera in Aix-en-Provence, and Piano in La Roque d'Anthéron (10 minute drive from the house).
This Provencal charming 200 sqm farmhouse offers an outdoor area of 500 sqm including an enchanting enclosed garden planted with flowers and trees and a beautiful 10m long L-shaped pool (52sqm) hidden away protected by stone walls surrounding it, ensuring full privacy. Next to the house, a large terrace with a barbecue allows for a very pleasant outdoor living in the shade of a parasol and a hundred year-old cedar. All offering relaxation and tranquility...
The interior of this typical house was renovated respecting old materials while providing a refined and warm contemporary design.
The ground floor, with lovely vaulted ceilings, has a large living room, one double bedroom (queen bed), a shower room and a kitchen-dining room, equipped with all modern amenities, opening onto the terrace and the garden.
The first floor has a large master bedroom with a beautiful view of the garden and surrounding hills (one queen bed and one single bed, AC), a second bedroom (two single beds) and a spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower, displaying an original tadelakt and pastellone coating in olive green.
On the second floor, two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms (each one with a queen bed and AC) open onto a large terrace. This floor also has a relaxation area with a sofa and a mezzanine with an elliptical bike .
All beds are new and very comfortable.
The property is 5 minutes away from the many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants of Lourmarin. For everyday shopping, there is also a very well-stocked supermarket located 800 meters from the house (3 minute drive) and an organic grocery store at 500 meters. At 50m, there is a "bistro" with fresh bread available everyday.

Beautiful house; very cosy interior; beautifully landscaped garden & a very nice and large pool area
We (two small children, two teenagers, two adults) had a very relaxing two weeks here. The house is a very carefully restored former sheepfold and an absolute feel-good place. The surrounding area offers plenty of places to visit and there is a very well-stocked supermarket (SuperU) about 1.5 km away.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this pretty property. Lovely garden and pool which the grandchildren loved. Meals outside and kitchen well outfitted. We had a problem with the hot water and the owner had it dealt with quickly.
A great family vacation!
Laures house is perfect for a family get away, the rooms are split over 3 floors so great for older parents to avoid stairs and also to keep families together on each floor.
The kitchen is well equipped and the pool is lovely and cold and spotlessly clean
The air con is an added bonus in 2 bedrooms but the house is very cool as it’s stone and has shutters
There’s a super market close by and a lovely restaurant behind the house
Really recommend the organic store too. Chateau Constantin is close by for wine tasting
Can’t wait to rebook
Perfect base to enjoy the Luberon area . A quiet town but in walking distance to Lourmarin with restaurants and shops. The heat was intense this summer but the air conditioners worked well in the bedrooms and the pool was kept clean .
The only negatives are the WiFi that needs to be upgraded and there are many steps to get to the bedrooms on the top floor. That said, we had a wonderful month in Puyvert

Dear Gail,
I am very happy that you enjoyed so much your stay in our house and in the region.
Thank you for your suggestion regarding improving the wifi coverage. We had already installed several wifi boosters in the house, but apparently the thick 17th century stone walls don't seem to allow the wifi to reach the remote part of the property. We are working on a solution !
Laure
We were a group of 8 extended family. Ranging from ages 14-83. The house was perfect and had shady areas for grandparents and pool for the teens. Laure was wonderful and very responsive. There was a repair issue which she managed to have dealt with on a Sunday morning in Provence! I would highly recommend.
Spacious, comfortable, updated home in a small village of Puyvert minutes away from Lourmarin. Centrally located to access all that Vaucluse and beyond has to offer. Particularly enjoyed the common areas indoors and outdoors. The pool was a huge benefit in the Provençal heat. The house had everything you need (great kitchen) and Laure the host was very responsive. As mentioned, close beautiful Lourmarin - we were there every day. Great supermarket also minutes away. Note that there are rather steep staircases to the upper rooms. Air conditioning in every bedroom and the ground floor stayed cool even in high heat days. Ample parking just down a short walkway was very convenient as it was difficult to get our SUV to the actual driveway.
Our multi-generation family loved this property as a base for exploring the Luberon.
• Hostess was very responsive and generous. When we had a challenge with the washing machine, her housekeeper came right over.
• Old, charming property with lots of great features- modern kitchen, garden with table for outdoor dining, pool, separate area on top floor with bright, modern spaces and private terrace in an otherwise historic house with lots of architectural interest and fun aesthetic.
•Lots of places to be- great for togetherness but not too much! It’s a large house.
• Village is tiny, but a half hour walk on country lanes goes to Lourmarin, and there’s an organic market at ten minutes’ walk. Easy drive to a great supermarket. Shopping and cooking were straightforward, and there’s a little pizza restaurant around the corner for grabbing a quick, fun meal with the locals.
• Great property for those who want a taste of life in an authentic setting in the Luberon.
We had such a lovely stay in this beautiful farmhouse that is in the heart of Provence. The house is in authentic Provençal style, in the heart of the village with very friendly and helpful next door neighbours. The house itself, garden, pool - were are extremely comfortable. Check-in was very easy with the owner always making sure we were comfortable and looked after throughout oiler whole stay,
There are so many lovely places to go to nearby: Lourmarin, Domaine de Fontenille, La Cavale, just to name a few!
If you want to escape into a dream holiday, this is the place!

Beautiful ancient stone house with all the modern comfort
I stayed here with some family members and we loved it! The little village is quiet and located very close to other towns that are worth visiting. The kitchen is very well equipped to make family dinners. The house is beautifully decorated. The garden is very peaceful and the pool perfect to cool off during the Provençal summer heat. We’ll come back next year!
