Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It’s been really nicely renovated and lots of attention to detail to ensure a comfortable stay. The garden is lovely and we enjoyed a lot of time outside enjoying the views and playing with the garden games that are in the summer house.
Heather was very helpful before and during our stay.
Would highly recommend.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely setting.
We had a great Bank Holiday weekend here and would definitely recommend this property. Spacious and modern inside with great views all around on the outside. The Cottage is well equipped and very comfortable and felt like a real home from home. 5* ☺
We had a wonderful stay here. Beautiful countryside lots of walks. The hot tub was fantastic and we used it everyday. The host comes everyday to keep it checked and clean.
The facilities were second to none, very well furnished and decorated. Everything you could need was supplied. And on arrival a wonderful hamper. I’d definitely return.

Beautiful house. Beautiful views. Perfect for being snowed in!
We spent a slightly impromptu extended week at The Cottage. The Beast from the East hit whilst we were staying and snowed us in. The house was so well appointed we were more than happy to stay in and get cosy in front of the log burner and learning how to play scrabble and cluedo again. The dogs loved the snow and was quite something trying to walk down the lane in the snowdrifts! Heather and her husband were great hosts and we really appreciate checking that everything was ok and also letting us stay for s couple of extra days until road conditions improved and we could finally get the cars out of the lane!! We would love to come back in the summer and make the most of the garden and views across the fields. Thank you so much.

Idyllic and immaculate get away from it all cottage in Lincolnshire
Our party of four adults, three children and three dogs had a blissful two nights at The Cottage. The Vestbirks have thought of everything from DAB streaming audio speakers in the kitchen to a well chosen selection of board games, dvds and books. The cottage is cosy, beautifully decorated and incredibly well appointed with wonderful beds in the main double rooms. My wife and I had superb nights' sleep in ours. The setting of the cottage is picturesque and tranquil and we felt privileged waking up to those to die for views from our wonderful bedroom. The arrival basket of bread, wine, marmalade and nibbles was very welcome. If you have dogs, like country walks and settling down with a glass of wine by a log burner with good friends in a fab setting don't hesitate to book this place. We will be back.
Great accommodation for all of us and living space was more than sufficient for our needs. Hot tub is a nice bonus and the house is finished to a lovely standard for guests. Minor issue but the WiFi signal could be a little better as there is not much signal in this area. Only required if you need to call home though, otherwise it can be nice to get some peace. Would love to stay again.
A group of 9 (4 adults, 3 children a baby and a dog) stayed here between 22nd - 27th December and our only gripe is that we didn't book for longer.
The location is perfectly secluded, great privacy for the hot tub, walking the dog and peace and quiet surrounded by lovely scenery.
Heather couldn't have been anymore helpful and was very accomodating; the welcome basket was a lovely touch.
I've stayed in many holiday homes/cottages and this is the first time I've felt like the owner has actually stopped in the prooerty before. We wanted for nothing. Every eventually had been thought of.
We will most definitely be back again, hopefully when the weather gets warmer to revisit the coast, which is only a 30 minutes drive away.
Lovely cottage for a quite weekend away celebrating our Mums 50th. Couldn’t have asked for more!
The cottage has everything you could want and more! Very well thought out, couldn’t of wished for a better place to stay with the family for a quiet weekend. The hot tub is a great extra touch - including the flip flops and beach towels. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Cannot fault this cottage. The views are fabulous as is the peace and quiet. The addition of a hot tub was unexpected and enjoyed daily. There is a generosity of provision i.e. the welcome pack, the constant heated towel rails, availability of the hot tub, etc.

Beautifully decorated, comfortable and peaceful
We stayed here over the Christmas break from 22nd Dec to 27th Dec.
There were 8 of us which included 2 young children, we also had dog's to entertain. Despite being a large party - we didn't feel cramped or over crowded in the property at all. The large garden gave the dogs plenty of space to run around and the surroundings provided the opportunity to go on a good walk to tire everyone out.
Christmas day was lovely. Lunch was served in a large spacious kitchen and dining area. The kids had plenty of room to play with toys. The grown ups had plenty of space to drink and be merry too!
There is a village close by, a 5 min drive to the nearest shop and pubs. Most pubs in the village are dog friendly and the staff were all very pleasant everywhere we went.
Heather is a great host and left a gorgeous welcome hamper on arrival for us to enjoy. Highly recommended for a spacious and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life!

Spacious clean and tidy cottage with everything we could need for a weekend break
The cottage was very clean and tidy on our arrival. It was spacious, plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 children. The owner had thought of everything we could need and provided it. There was also a welcome basket which was a nice touch. The owners communication throughout the booking process was excellent too very prompt at getting back to me and nothing was too much trouble. We shall be staying here again.
Thankyou

The Cottage is amazing and the views are stunning. An excellent place to stay.
We absolutely loved our time at The Cottage. The facilities inside were of a fabulous standard, we stayed as a family of five adults with a young child and we all loved it. The views are something else, we will visit in the summer next time so we can sit out and enjoy them even more. There is so many lovely places to visit nearby and the places we ate at were great for all of us. Lincoln is a must! We would definitely recommend The Cottage, we will certainly be visiting again. We were all very sad to leave and will stay longer next time. Thank you to Heather for such a warm welcome and a brilliant place to stay.

Great- gorgeous cottage !!
Stayed here over the New Year as group of 8 adults for a wedding. Location was lovely, very scenic. Cottage was decorated gorgeous, it was definitely a home from home. Would highly recommend this place for an cosy weekend away- the log burner was a personal favourite !! The only thing that would make this perfect would be a hot tub. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Particularly enjoyed the prosecco and hamper left for us on arrival. 5* for attention to detail and cleanliness. Would definitely return again!

The house was beautiful ,warm clean and comfortable. We would stay again.
We had a lovely stay at the house and found the owners helpful and kind. There were 8 of us and the space was ideal. The garden was super and great for our border terrier as well as the 4 and 6 year olds. The welcome pack was a treat. To be super picky the wood burning stove did not draw very well and we wondered if the chimney needed sweeping. Thank you

The cottage is lovely!
The cottage is lovely, tastefully decorated and furnished. There is everything you could possibly want. The views are smashing, the cottage was warm and cosy. It was just what we wanted for a family get together.
We were all very impressed with the cottage and the gardens, highly recommend.
Heather was very kind, and she helped my daughter who lives in New Zealand to organise a surprise. Getting flowers and bubbly for our arrival, that is going the extra mile!

This is a lovely, comfortable house for all seasons.
We had a family reunion over a long weekend. The house and views provided a magical backdrop for us all to enjoy. The owners are really helpful and can't do enough, which reflects in the detail of everything from the quality and style of the interior to the comfort of the beds and the sitting room.
It was a great base in beautiful surroundings, lots of walking and exploring on the doorstep. We had great weather and stayed close however we will be back to enjoy the house again and explore further afield.

Easter Stay
This is a lovely cottage. Very well equipped, comfortable beds and chairs and tremendous view from the garden terrace. Also appreciated the fenced in garden for Milo (our dog) who loved it, and the welcome goodies tray provided by Heather. Horncastle is easily accessible for restaurants and shopping. We had an excellent dinner at Shakesby's in Horncastle. The Lindsey Way (bridle way) goes right past the cottage and this gives a nice one way and back walk, but if you like short -moderate length circular walks (which we do) you need to go to them by car as there isn't a good circuit route through the farmland near the cottage itself. There are several good circular walks about 20-35 mins from the cottage and Heather provides some good walking guides. The cottage is situated in a lovely area of the wolds. All in all highly recommended.

About the host
Hosted by Heather Vestbirk
We are a farming family who have lived here for 60+ years. The Cottage is in the centre of our farm over 100m from any other property. We are so fortunate to live in an area of outstanding beauty and we are now delighted to be able to offer guests the opportunity to share this unspoilt landscape with us.
Why they chose this property
We love this property because it is such a quiet location and it has the most amazing views of the Lincolnshire Wolds from every aspect. We farm the land around the property and the changing landscape through the seasons is always awe inspiring. There is a wealth of wildlife - birds and even a deer may cross the garden.
The Cottage is recommended for cyclists, families and walkers.
What makes this property unique
The panoramic views from every aspect of The Cottage and the wonderful space we can offer for all ages and interests make this property a little different and special. Seven person Hot Tub. Sit with the bi-fold doors open or closed in the living room watching the world go by. A perfect place to relax. Have a BBQ and enjoy sitting at the picnic table enjoying the garden.
