With Porpoise: Oceanside 3B/2BA Condo, Steps to Beach, Minutes to Shops & Golf

This second-floor end unit located in section F of Ocean Sands in the Indian Summer community is about 1,100 square feet and has three bedrooms (the unit sleeps 6 people) and two bathrooms and overlooks the private community pool. The outdoor area features a large covered deck with a table and chairs perfect for dining or enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening while listening to the waves crash on the beach. There is a gazebo by the pool and the unit has covered parking for two vehicles and one space that is uncovered. There are tennis/pickleball courts a block away and there are charcoal barbecue grills on site.

Great Room: large area that includes the living room, dining area and kitchen. Living room includes a 48” flat screen smart TV and the dining table seats six. The kitchen is fully equipped to make meals.

Bedrooms and bathrooms: king primary bedroom with private bathroom, queen bedroom that shares a full bath off the hallway with a third bedroom with two twin beds. All bedrooms are furnished with a dresser and have spacious closets.

Since the condo is on the second floor, there are two sets of stairs to climb to get to the unit. It will only take five minutes to get to the beach; please note that there is a stairway for beach access.

Shopping, dining and entertainment: Harris Teeter grocery store is across the street, within walking distance, Off The Wall Tap House, Pizzazz Pizza, Island Smoothie, Urban Kitchen, Wild Horse Adventure Tours and Corolla Bait & Tackle. Timbuck II Shopping Village, which features more than 60 shops and restaurants, is only a five-minute drive on Route 12 north. Golfers will love the Currituck Club’s location, also across the street.

Location was great!

Very close to beach & the pool was great for our children. Overall the location worked well for us; close to paths for biking and walking, too. Plenty of room for our group of 5 to relax, eat, and sleep.

A Hidden Gem

This condo is clean and comfortably fit our family of 6 adults. We loved the proximity to the beach, which was never crowded, and it was also convenient to anything we needed. It was perfect for a relaxing, reading and enjoying the beach and pool. The table on the deck was a huge bonus for family dinners.

Amazing week!

This was a perfect stay for an excellent week. Our rental was extremely clean and well maintained with everything we needed. Very close to beach and the pool! Plenty of room and extremely comfortable. Having access to the bikes, beach chairs and umbrella made our trip even better since we didn’t have to pack ours! Excellent communication from our hosts and the check in process was flawless. We really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend!!

Clean, comfortable, convenient! Great communication with host owner. Close to grocery, shops, eateries! Pool access nice having so close! Kitchen supplies to prepare meals at condo well equipped! Week stay at Indian Summer.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Because it has private beach access to the beach was never too crowded and it was a quick and easy walk to the beach. (our weather was perfect!) The stretch of beach couldn't have been better. The pool is a great amenity to have; and for the most part was not too crowded which given the Pandemic I was a little concerned about. Things were as equipped as was described; however, if you like to cook, you should bring some of your favorite cooking utensils . . . it was a great week and I would return to this spot!

Nice getaway

Location and size of this condo are great! It was our first time in Corolla. The condo is a great size, is in a quiet complex, has a nice pool with surrounding deck, and is only a short walk to the beach. I appreciated the use of chairs and bikes while we were there; it was less for us to pack. Owners were fantastic and helpful from the time I booked through the end of our stay. The only negative thing I have to say has absolutely nothing to do with the property: traffic through Duck was a bear at times…

Nice condo!

A very good fit for the size of our party. Location was great-pool easily accessible, beach close enough to walk, and great front porch for meals! Only concern was cleanliness-since we had small kids who lose toys, we were perhaps looking in non-standard places, but under the beds and couches there were some surprises. But if you don't have to get down there to retrieve toys, you'd probably never know!

Great location

Nice sized condo in a family friendly community. It’s an older condo compared to a lot of the new building on OBX but has that laid back beach atmosphere. I love the pine paneling :). The pool is clean and right near the condo. The covered porch was a great spot to sit and have coffee or a meal with sun hitting it in the morning. It’s a short walk to the beach which was not overly crowded. You can walk, bike or drive a short distance to the supermarket and an assortment of stores. There is ample parking, some of it covered. There was a maintenance issue but the owner was very responsive. My only downside was the king mattress was very firm - that’s just not my preference. We enjoyed our stay here!

Great weekend

The property was as stated in the listing. We did have to supply our own bedding and towels which they had told us but was a little hassle coming from a long distance. The closeness to the beach was wonderful - just a short walk. Weather was great. Items in shed were helpful - chairs and umbrella. We didn't have a chance to use the bikes. Communication was good although we had a little glitch with the entrance code. Hostess had sent it but we couldn't find it - finally looked in our "junk" email file and all the details were there. The unit was clean but dated and worn. Brand new pool area and deck were very nice. Overall we had a great time with friends there. Thanks Susan

We loved our week in this condo. It was the perfect size for our family of 5, and had everything we needed. We loved the pool right in front of the condo and the easy 5 min walk to the beach. Great condo and location!

We loved our stay here! The weather wasn't the best during our weak but the condo was wonderful. Very roomy, furntiure and beds were comfy and both bathrooms were enough for our 2 adults and 2 teens. It was nice to have the pool as an option, especially since it's open until 10pm, and being walking distance to the beach was a great treat this year, compared to where we stayed last year. The community is very friendly and it was a perfect week away! Thanks for all the touches that made our stay great. Communication with the owner when needed was always very prompt!

Great family vacation property

The condo was clean and comfortable. Close walk to the beach, and the owners closet contained chairs, boogie boards, etc so no need to pack that type of stuff. Pool on property was nice and shallow (goes up to 5 ft deep) so a great place for families with small kids to hang out. We enjoyed our stay, and owner was responsive to the questions we had during our stay.

I have been coming to the Outer Banks since 1982, when my parents built one of the first homes in Ocean Sands. They sold that home (how I wish they didn't!) and my husband and I began our own tradition of vacationing in Corolla and Duck every year with our two children. Although we live in New Jersey and are only an hour or so from the nearest beach, we all love the Outer Banks so much that we can't imagine our yearly beach vacation anywhere else.

Why they chose this property

We chose this condo in Indian Summer because it is a wonderful unit that is such a short walk to the beach, only five minutes. It is a great community, and the residents were so helpful to us before we even closed on the property. It has everything we need: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a pool and best of all, close proximity to the beach! So close, in fact, that I can hear the waves while I have my coffee on the deck in the morning.

What makes this property unique

This is an end unit, so it only shares one wall with another unit. It is one of the rare units that has a covered deck and three bedrooms. It overlooks the pool area and is so convenient for an all-day beach stay or a last minute decsion to take a walk on the beach. Indian Summer is in a great location being that it is just across the street from Harris Teeter, restaurants and the Currituck Club.
