Great Location and Value

I stayed at this property and honestly it was really nice and had a lot of perks. Staff was great, location was perfect and the town and restaurants - all really great. Very safe place to visit and would recommend this property and town to anyone.

I really appreciate it the beautiful decor everywhere. Everything was in Mexican style to the last detail the spaciousness and the view were magnificent. Even in the heat, there was always the ocean breeze. This was my last trip to my beloved Mexico, and it could not have been better than at Casa Kyoto.

Gorgeous view and perfect location

Casa de Quixote was delightful! For our group of 6 we each had our own space to relax or be together in the indoor/outdoor entertainment space. The proximity to beaches and town is fantastic. We loved sitting by the pool and taking walks along the ocean on the path to town.

Great Location

What a great location with a beautiful view and pool. The housekeeper was so lovely and helpful and was able to make some delicious meals for us. Our whole family loved the location right above the beach in walking distance to town and several beach front restaurants. Plenty of room for our group of 10. We will be back!

This property is amazing ! Great location , walking distance to downtown. Fun low key restaurants on the beach below. Everything you need for a family we had 8 adults and 3 kids under 6 years . Plenty of room for everyone. The pool was a huge highlight!

Stunning Beachside Home—A Private Resort for Our Family

We’re a family, and this home in Mexico was everything we could have hoped for—and more. It was so beautiful and peaceful, it was honestly hard to leave to go to the beach or do the touristy things we came for!Each bedroom was its own private suite, which gave everyone space to relax. The outdoor areas were incredible—perfect for lounging, eating, and enjoying the warm breeze just steps from the beach, restaurants, and the boardwalk.The entire property was spotless and felt like having a private resort all to ourselves. The staff was amazing—so helpful with booking activities and making our stay easy and stress-free.We didn’t want to leave and are already dreaming of coming back. This place is truly special.

The house and property were fine and in a perfect location. The cleaners and maintenance man were friendly and worked hard. But, we chose this house for its beautiful pool and had planned on spending most of our time swimming. Unfortunately, the pump did not work our entire stay until the morning we were leaving. I communicated a few times with the property manager about it but never got an answer about it. Only 2 people out of our group of 7 were willing to get in the non-moving water and one of them ended up with a rash. It was very disappointing! It was also weird/unusual that the cleaners came at 9am on our check out day when check out wasn’t until 11am. We felt rushed. We were told it was because they had someone checking in at 3pm, but doesn’t everyone? We’ve not experienced that before.

Another wonderful stay at Casa Quixote

We are so pleased with Casa Quixote every year. This year was even more fantastic. We learned so much more about local culture and experienced so many new things. The property is ideally located for walks along the beach, boardwalk and into the markets. The pool is also a hit with all of us. We brought 6 pool floaties which makes the day go smoothly and pleasantly. Thank you for the excellent cleaning and pool maintenance throughout our 10 days. We will be back for our 4th stay next winter.

Awesome vacation

Overall we were thrilled with our stay. The house offered outside living which for us was the highlight. Proximity to the beach was perfect! And the fact that we could easily get fresh fish and shrimp every morning was a big plus. Having the message option literally at the bottom of our ramp to the ocean was a nice touch. Also, getting around the surrounding area by foot worked well for shopping and eating out. This is a home we are planning to rent next year too.

Home away from home

Our 2 week stay at this spacious house was everything we hoped it would be and more. The house keeper and pool maintenance person came every second day. So the house was always clean. The housekeeper and her sister prepared an authentic dinner for our family, it was fantastic. The location of the house was perfect. Close to the beach and several very good restaurants. A holiday we’ll always remember.

Great week on Madera Beach

Six of us stayed at Casa Quixote late February into early March of ‘24. The house and location were fantastic. All rooms had King beds, A/C, fridge, and their own bathrooms. The upper level has a great view of the bay and the pool was good sized and clean. The Bluetooth stereo in the pool area was a nice to have. Iris came and cleaned up the house on M,W,F. Access to the beach is down the two flights of stairs in the condo and onto a sidewalk. We didn’t take advantage of having them come in and cook any meals for us (mainly due to being within walking distance of what i would guess being 100’s of restaurants) but definitely will next time. We would not hesitate to book Casa Quixote again, hopefully for a longer stay.

Fabulous Vacation!

Casa Quixote was a perfect venue for our family vacation! It was our first time to Zihua and we'll be back. This is a very cool, 3 floor (stepped down the slope of the hill) Mexican home that accommodated our family of 10 with ease (6 adults, 4 children). The kids were in the pool from morning to evening. The location is very private, safe and with direct access to the beach down some stairs and is a short 10 min walk along the seawall to Centro. A few steps both ways on the beach there are great restaurants. As time went on we discovered charming restaurants around the neighbourhood, all with great food and a unique character of their own. We arranged for housekeeper Iris to cook a meal for us one night and it was so good! The view of the harbour is gorgeous - morning, noon, and night. We would love to come back, either with kids/grandkids or perhaps with some friends!

Family Trip

We took our adult children to Zihuatanejo for 13 days. The property was amazing and all the rooms where excellent. Two of the rooms where air conditioned ( because they had separate rooms to sitting areas) the other rooms where large open air to the ocean and we had fans and ceiling fans. Everyone enjoyed there accommodations and ability to escape to there own space . The location was easy access to stores shopping and the beach . We hung out at the pool in the afternoons and enjoyed pool games and just relaxing. We had a cook come in and cook authentic Mexican meals for breakfast and dinner. Elena was the best, I’m a picky eater and the meals she provided were top quality, she would pick up supplies and we never had a disappointment. She is a 10 out of 10 . She cook 2 meals a day for 9 adults and truly it was fantastic .The only thing I would suggest to the property would be to have a larger fridge or a separate fridge for beer and wine . The property is a 10 out of 10 the staff was excellent and truly was a great experience

The location was perfect. Close to the beach and many restaurants. The house was great for four couples with each having their own private area. The main level had lots of different seating arrangements around the pool. Would recommend to families for a relaxing stay.

Great Stay

Too bad the villa was only available during part of our visit. Great place to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family and friends. The street outside was being replaced so that made the check-in/check-out process harder than usual. But the team who helped us was great, and the construction did not impact our enjoyment of the villa. Thanks to all!

AMAZING

We had a group of friends traveling for vacation and visiting Zihuatenajo for the first time. This home was perfect in every way. A short flight of stairs down to the beach where there are several restaurants on the sand, and an entrance to a nicely paved beach walk of about 7 minutes into the heart of the town. We had restaurants and coffee shops all around us. A short taxi ride to the grocery store, la ropa beach, etc. The pool at the house was unreal, and every inch of the home was thoughtfully decorated, and made us feel truly immersed in the culture. The house is primarily outdoor, open style. It has three levels. The bottom level has one bedroom suite, open air. Laundry is also on this level. The second floor has two bedroom suites, open air (one of these rooms has the bed in a separate, inclosed space and has an AC unit; the other room is open air and has both a king bed and a Murphy bed that can be pulled out). The top floor is where the pool, kitchen, and dining and lounging spaces are. All open air. There is an inclosed bedroom with AC on the top floor, and a second office room with a bed, also with AC. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. In the rooms without AC, there are fans. It was hot at night, but bearable and the wonderfulness of this home was very much worth it. HIGHLY recommend. I cannot wait to be back!

Beautiful place!

We had a family holiday here and loved our stay. The pool is gorgeous (big and plenty deep), the location is walkable to many shops and restaurants, and the sleeping arrangements are quiet and provide plenty of privacy. I would definitely recommend to others.

Relaxing by the ocean!

Our group (7 adults ranging from 19 - early 50's) had a fantastic stay at this property! The home is accurately pictured and truly is a quick walk down the stairs (within the unit) and down a paved path to the public beach. From there - it's an easy boardwalk walk to town & restaurants. The closest restaurants on the beach are right at the base of the property. The center of town is ~10 minutes. The staff we interacted with was great - they arranged for us to have: - roundtrip airport transportation for our group (with a stop at a full-service grocery store to pick up our own groceries). - Covid-19 testing at the house the day prior to our return to the US - Massages in home - truly an excellent experience! The kitchen is pretty well stocked and has an on the counter ice-maker, just fill it with filtered water and turn it on - very useful. Our only disappointment was with A/C - only 2 of the 4 bedrooms had air conditioning - so two rooms had comfortable sleepers and two did not. This is not different from many traditional Mexican beach vacation homes - but since I didn't see it in the listing (I may have missed it), I wanted to share with potential guests. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely consider returning!
