Double booked nightmare
We had no contact from the agency about checking in. I sent 4 messages 2 days before check in, VRBO's messaging service having 'issues', agent subsequently said agency was closed as it was Sunday, but they still made no attempt to respond on the Monday, despite vrbo also sending them a message to get around the messaging issue. I phoned agency and was repeatedly told she was not in and nobody else dealt with check ins. Finally at 16.55 she was there and admitted it was double booked, then offered an alternative apartment, which was more expensive for same price - another lie of course as it was cheaper (refund??). Original apartment had WiFi, which we needed, but replacement didn't. It was denied when we brought this up that original did, but of course another lie. All in all completely unacceptable. She did of course blame vrbos booking system, which isn't the first time I've heard that, but of course plenty of time to put that right, which didn't happen.
