The room looked exactly as it’s pictured. We had three adults. The pullout sofa was not comfortable. I would recommend this for a couple only. Old town downtown was walking distance and was so amazing and fun. Lots of shopping and restaurants. I enjoyed it.
Pleasant stay nice and close to almost everything we had on our itinerary! Room was perfect just wish there was a tv in the room. Overall it was a 10!!!!
This was exactly what I needed. A place to sleep that was conveniently located to transit, food, and a walkable neighborhood. The only drawbacks were thin walls and the shower. The people next door came in at midnight and were up at 5 am talking. I put in earplugs and was fine. The diverter from faucet to shower head didn’t work great. A lot of water continually came out of the bath faucet and the shower pressure was low. Overall if you want a clean place with a comfortable bed that is in a great location, this is for you.
Great location for my needs. Easy access and great communication. The unit was clean, updated, and provided the comforts of home. Would definitely recommend and stay here again in the future.
Went to cooler weather San Diego and had a great time. Accommodations were just a illustrated in VRBO. Centrally located to major attractions; Old Town, close to Balboa Park. We would stay again! Thanks for easy check in!
Great location to get everywhere in short amount of time. Inside of room was clean and spacious. Host was easy to contact. There was no available parking on street hardly ever, would have been nice to not have an extra fee for parking at a hotel. It seemed people lived at this location permanently also? All in all a very convenient location and good pricing.
Great location for Old Town. Good basic stay, comfortable bed, great shower, nice and clean. On busy street but bedroom is on the back and is dark and quiet. Just basic furniture, so not really a place to hang out but just a 5 minute walk to Old Town. Lots of restaurants and close to bus and trains. We had a great 4 day stay.
Very clean!! Nice location! Very small and tight, furniture took up most of floor space. Bathroom commode--NO cover (lid). Didn't use microwave or stove (afraid of setting off alarm, due to printed message!. Mark was excellent and quick to answer our concerns. NOTE---mother (87) and daughter (68).
Location is phenomenal (right next to the 5/8 highways) and there's plenty of grocery stores and cafes/restaurants nearby. Old Town is less than a mile away for anyone interested in exploring that.
Property is a small 1br with a sofa bed, which suited our needs well. The owner was quick to respond to any questions or concerns.
Only dinged a little on cleanliness because we initially walked around and the soles of our feet (particularly the toddler's) turned dark real quick. Seems like cleaning was vacuum, no mop.
Clean, good management, problems were fixed quickly
My partner and I stayed in one of these rooms over a long weekend in the summer. The property appears to be a former apartment complex which has now been converted to individual "hotel rooms".
The check-in process is very straightforward. The first day of our stay, we received instructions from the manager on how to enter in a code to one of the lock boxes outside to obtain our key cards.
The room we were in had some problems the first night. The AC wasn't working (both AC's in the room were broken), and the shower also didn't work (so we had to take baths instead). We communicated this to the manager over the phone, and we were given a new lock-box code to move to a different room in the same complex, at a convenient time for us. It was handled professionally and resolved quickly. Our new room was fully functional.
Accommodations were accurate to the description. Property was clean, central location. There were several homeless staying adjacent to the property who used the trash receptacles however didn’t bother anyone.
Only suggestion would be to put a foam overlay on the mattress on the fold out (lumpy) and a few more blankets as it got a little chilly during the night.
Thank you!
Overall, we enjoyed our short stay. The location was great as it was central to our destinations. Street parking was ample in this area which is a huge positive. The home was just right for our small family. The bed was comfortable and had all the basics needed for a stay. It was nice to have access to a washer/dryer because there was limited towels. The owner was responsive to messages. Thank you!
This was a nice place to stay for our quick weekend. The location was perfect! There are restaurants and coffee nearby that we frequented, also only a 10 mins walk to the trolley station. Great place to stay without needing to rent a car. The a/c worked great as well as everything else in the room. The walls are pretty thin so we could hear neighbors but it wasn’t too terrible. The place was clean but could use a deeper cleaning if you looked closely. The pillows need to be upgraded- they were super uncomfortable, as well as the comforter being very worn. The owners were great communicators and always readily available. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here and will definitely do so again!
Can't beat this location, it's literally 5 minutes away from everything! Street parking is impossible so definitely worth it to spend the $15/day to park at the apartment building. There is paid washer and dryer on the side of the building about $2.50 per wash and uses an app. There are ac's in the living room and bedroom. Would highly recommend getting air freshener for the rooms after running the ac. Try using the timer to keep the ac running while you sleep otherwise it turns off after 30 minutes. Couch is a pull out bed and can sleep 2. Kitchen has the basics, we were going to cook there but decided to eat out and get paper plates. There are a lot to eat in San Diego!
It was great for quick on/off freeway to Torrey Pines and had everything we needed for before/after a day f working on the course. Parking was a little difficult. Streets were always full.
