Barbara was an awesome host. Villa is even nicer than the photos. Sitting area on balcony is the nicest in the neighborhood. You can see everything up there with a breeze keeping it comfortable. Nice and quiet. Covered pool is great to cool off in while the monkeys go by on the fence. Compact kitchen is well equipped while the rest of the rooms are nicely updated and spacious. Great showers. Looking forward to our next stay.

Barbara was wonderful. We loved our first visit to Barbados. Our host guided us with transportation taxi driver Andre who was wonderful and gave us a tour of the island. We were walking distance from the beach, local shops and restaurants. There were many activities available for the family, including Karaoke nights Sunday and Thursday night, swimming with turtles and jet ski. Loved Holetown beach. The apartment was really lovely, all that we needed was there. It was very clean and comfortable in a quiet area but not far from shops beach and places to eat. Wonderful experience

We were welcomed upon arrival by Barbara. She was very friendly and made us feel at home immediately. As we arrived late she bought fruit juice, eggs, bread and coffee for breakfast the next morning. The villa was very clean and comfortable. In summary it was a great experience!

Diamond is paradise

My wife and I had a fantastic time. We’ve been travelling to Barbados for 7 years and this was our first stay near Holetown. We found Diamond here on VRBO and it was everything we needed for a great stay. Have had a fabulous 2 weeks in Diamond apt - nice to have the little touches of a welcome food pack - crisp cotton sheets and fluffy towels! Beds were comfy as well Barbara made us very welcome and was on hand although we didn’t have any problems Bit of walk up the hill from Holetown but we had a car anyway All in all can recommend if you want peace and tranquility in Barbados with no cockerels and dogs waking you up

This rental is a gem! Clean, comfortable and close enough to walk into Holetown! We didn’t need a vehicle. We walked to Holetown and took taxi’s back when we picked up groceries. We saw monkey’s pretty much every day. Barbara was a great hostess. She supplied a few essential groceries upon arrival. She greeted us and gave us a quick tour of the apartment. She was available whenever we needed her. The property was very clean and well kept. The plunge pool was a bonus! I would recommend this property for a fantastic vacation!

The property is very spacious 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Well appointed with a plunge pool in the shade. Nice views from the balcony and quiet location. Comfortable lounge and decent kitchen. Cooking and washing facilities available. We used all the facilities and for me the real diamond is Barbara Brathwaite who was delightful from the meet and greet showing us the ropes and during our stay she simply couldn’t do enough for us. Great sense of humour and professionalism personified. It’s a long walk into Holetown, dark at night and hilly. Thank you Barbara and well done from Mr Oldham.

Thank you for your feedback. However, the worms you are referring to are an invasive species of worms (called red millipedes or Trigoniulus Corallinus) that has infested the island. The infestation facilitated by these worms is country wide and beyond our control. While we tried to mitigate the onslaught of the millipedes around our premises using best-practice-control techniques outlined by Barbados Ministry of Agriculture, it was an uphill battle for everyone on the island who encountered them. As for insinuating that frogs were in the pool, I saw no evidence of this after cleaning the pool (which is tested and cleaned on a daily basis). Additionally, I saw no evidence of a rusty faucet; I queried the guests who stayed in the apartment soon after you did and they concurred with me that the faucet was not rusty.

Pleasant apartment, good value

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious, with nice bedrooms, dining and sitting rooms, great laundry, nice balcony and outdoor areas. The only downside was the kitchen, which is very small and could do with refurbishing. A matching set of tableware, cutlery and glassware would be nice. We didn't really use the pool as it is under cover and never in the sun, so a bit chilly. We also found a hire car useful as the apartment is on the outskirts of Holetown and a bit of a hike back uphill at the end of the day, in the dark.

Great location and lovely host

We had a very comfortable stay at Barbara’s Oasis. We had everything we needed and the apartment is exactly as advertised, very spacious with a great balcony. There were a few glitches at the beginning but Barbara always sorted things out promptly. Lascelles is a beautiful and safe neighbourhood in lovely Holetown. The walk into town was absolutely fine. We just used our phone torches so we were visible at night. Barbara let us have a late check out which was great for us with our flight time.

What a lovely place. Better than the photo,s as it was a lot bigger. Very roomy and lots of space. You can easy have 4 people as we had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Barbara was lovely and when we saw her she always asked if we were OK. Its in a very Peacefull Location. But the nightlife of Holetown about 10mins walk

Peaceful, well equipped apartment and Barbara is a wonderful host

This was a last minute booking for us and we were lucky to find Barbara's lovely apartment. Barbara took the trouble to telephone us in our home country when I was having trouble with emailing, which was much appreciated. The house is great; so peaceful, but close enough to the more busy hubbub near the beach in Holetown if you want to eat out. As we arrived quite late, Barbara's welcome pack of essential food items was very welcome . The apartment was great and eating on the balcony with the little wild birds was a bonus. It was also a good viewpoint to watch the antics of the local troop of wild monkeys in the gardens around. It is possible to use local buses, but this is not a great idea in the dark as the apartment is up a winding road with no street lights, so a taxi or rental car was best for us. We had a lovely relaxing stay here and only wish we could have stayed longer.

Home from Home

We had a great time at this property, the pictures are completely, accurate. Barbara was helpful & the property was clean and tidy. Very close to Hole town, just a 10 minute walk down the hill & 15 minutes back, although at night times it is safer to get a taxi as the road is dangerous. we would stay here again.

This property was amazing. In 2018, my friend and I had a horrible rental experience in the area and we almost did not come back. We saw this unit and wanted to go back! The property is just like the pictures and then some. Ms. Barbara was great from the moment we met her at check in. Ms. Barbara called us several times to check on us and see if we needed anything and helped us with getting in touch with a local taxi that we used throughout our stay. If we needed anything else, we are sure Ms. Barbara would know! She was so amazing! The house is also a 10 minute walk to the Limegrove Mall, Sharkeys, the gas station, and Massy Grocery! The only things I would suggest are to wear slippers because of the wooden floor boards and that the wifi only works in the backroom (a new router would fix this). This place was fantastic and I can't wait to stay again!

Home Away From Home!

Our idea of a holiday in Barbados was to unpack, sit back and enjoy! We accomplished that at Barbara's home. Our accommodations were beautiful and spotlessly clean. Our apartment felt like a 'home' from the minute we walked in! Our host Barbara made sure we had everything we needed and then some! I LOVED the splash pool and made good use of it!! You are literally a 10 minute walk and you are in the hub of Holetown. We had rented a car which did allow us the opportunity to explore the Island. Fantastic property.

The property was excellent, spacious with all you needed. The veranda was wonderful and somewhere I sat for many hours. Wonderful holiday experiance

The apartment was well equipped, spacious, clean and in an extremely peaceful location. Barbara, the owner, lived on site and was always available for requests/help/information etc. but stood back to let you get on with your holiday without interference. A welcome pack was provided, milk, coffee, bread etc. which was indeed 'Welcome' as we didn't have to go out shopping. All in all a great holiday.

Superb apartment, a step away from Holetown

Diamond 2 is a beautifully maintained two bedroom upstairs apartment with separate entrance. It is a ten-minute walk up the road from Limegrove mall in Halcyon Heights. Each bedroom has a stylish en-suite shower room. The kitchen is compact but the dining and sitting areas are ample, and the balcony is a bonus. Barbara lives on site. She is charming and helpful and we chatted most days. We loved living privately in a residential area, close to but separate from busy Holetown. All beaches and attractions are accessible by bus. Highly Recommended.
