Always a great time at the cottage. It’s a beautiful well maintained property and the owners are so nice. This is our 4th time renting and never have had an issue. Recommend to all our friends. So peaceful and quiet and the pontoon rental takes it over the top. Thanks for the great stay and we’re getting ready to book for next year.

The cabin itself was cute and in a great, secluded location right on the water. Having easy access to the dock and boat was a huge plus. We also briefly met the owners, who were very kind and helpful, especially when we needed assistance with the boat. The cabin was also reasonably priced, and the sheets appeared to be very clean.Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the cabin was a major issue for us. The floors were extremely dirty, and there was noticeable dirt and grime on the blinds, baseboards, and throughout the cabin. Overall, the entire space is in need of a very thorough deep cleaning. The towels and some of the bedding could also use updating.There are a lot of great things about this property, especially the location, water access, and kind owners, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving a review without mentioning the condition of the cabin. With a deep clean and a few updates to the linens, this could be a really nice place to stay.

Thank you for taking tIme for review. Our cleaners, as most host can agree, can not do deep cleaning during peak season. Deep cleaning of washing blinds and floor boards as you expressed, is done in off season when time allows. Our cleaners have an extensive and always evolving list of musts that they do in each home. Sweep/mop, clean all baths, wash granite surfaces, stoves and fridge, wash all laundry: towels, sheets, blankets, clorox door handles and light switches. They are very busy girls. We do deep cleaning once a year after our season, May-Oct, when we are closing the cottages. For those reading this post this is exactly what Deep cleaning means for us. Everything inside from painting walls, washing windows and blinds, floor boards, tile and grout, decks and siding power washed, cupboards are emptied and washed, stove and fridge are moved and cleaned, light bulbs are replaced, linens are thrown out that are soiled or damaged, furniture is evaluated if it needs replaced. Septic is pumped and furnace is turmed on. We are not a company, we are a husband and wife opening our cottages for guests to enjoy an old fashion remote country getaway. Being a host is an exhausting job. We pay our cleaning service $50-75 depending on the cottage and try to keep cost affordable for guests. (Washing towels and bedding alone takes 2-3 hours.) Deep cleaning is on us. Thank you for the review and opportunity to share the challenges of maintaining a vacation spot.

Cute house, comfortable beds and pillows. May want to bring your own fan for the bedrooms if you want to sleep with the doors closed. Kitchen was well stocked and the pontoon is a must if you want to swim. Hosts were very kind and responsive! Back porch is awesome and private. Overall great stay!

This property worked out nicely for us while we were visiting our son @ Hillsdale College. The beds were comfortable. Water pressure for the shower was not awesome, but otherwise we enjoyed it.
