A good, if compact, apartment
Located on a somewhat untidy street, this compact residence lacks any outside space and has the most tiny toilet we’ve ever experienced.
Ideally suited for just two adults, we did manage to accommodate four as our children were happy sharing the sofa bed.
There is no real view, just other apartments can be seen, however the beautiful beaches of Nice are just a short walk away.
Be prepared for three flights of stairs, a challenge for luggage.
Amenities were more than adequate and in very good condition. Local grocery shops were very close and an excellent bakery shares the same block.
A more detailed instruction book for the apartment and local facilities would really help. Eg. Lidl is not the closest supermarket nor is it the best!
A welcome package would really help those who arrive late in a Saturday. Eg bread, milk and butter.
The kitchen provides all that’s needed for home cooking. The appliances were more than adequate, although I’ve still no idea how to turn the extractor fan on! Eating in was a breeze for breakfast, lunch or dinner for those of us on a budget.
Air con in the living and bedroom areas made evenings present.
A huge TV was great for family movies or just occupying the kids.
We did need a bit more storage space as there is quite a lot in use by the owner.
The Locarno Hotel is close by and will store luggage all day for 5€ per bag which greatly helped the last day - you check out at 10:30, but flights can be much later in the day.
